Fallout 3

I'm stuck getting through Lamplight Caverns, can't afford to free the kids and don't have high enough skills to free them, also I get owned trying to free them by force. Well crap.

That sucks. I got lucky and passed the speech check with the mayor, and I didn't have to free anyone.

Whenever I had trouble killing a group of guys I would lay out mines in front of me and then fire my sniper rifle. When they came at me, they would go boom.

I just released my Dad from that simulation thing. God that Girl speaking in the mans voice freaked me out @.@

Still. Was funny to hit that woman with a rolling pin then slaughter everyone else.

Give examples please. They pay to have some content first. GTA is the only exclusive content we have actual proof they payed for?

Rock Band 2, Bioshock, Epic Games, there's a few more that aren't at the top of my head.

There's nothing wrong with it, at least in the legal sense. Its kind of dirtbaggy, and hasn't really worked yet, as shown by sales, and such, but please don't try and say it isn't happening.

Why is this generation of gaming all about attacking one of the three console companies with every single fucking comment? This is by far the most annoying gen of gaming for me. At 24 i can honestly see why some dont feel gaming will last despite its rediculous numbers saying other wise. This shit is worse then football sunday fanboys.

Also, you accusing people of fanboyisim is really, really, really, rich.

What I did was do some other sidequests to gain some levels and get the skill required to free the kids.

My mistake with Fallout was finishing the game though, had to start over.

And one thing I never did is turn off the radio, wherever I had GNR I had it on I freaking love that show!

Mara dont be a tard please, we are talking about additional content not timed exclusive games.

There are so many fanboys this gen its rediculous. If any of these companies die and wither away i dont give two shits. They do not give you anything... Why do people support them like they are a sports team?

There is exclusive content coming out for Mirrors Edge on PS3. Scream how its wrong for Sony to get exclusive content... Bitching about this stuff is just stupid.

Are you trying to be good, evil, or neutral? If you're good, turn Eulogy Jones' pad in to a giant fucking minefield and kill him. He's an evil character so you get good Karma points. When slavers run in to fight you. Boom. You'll also have good karma rain down upon you like no tomorrow from bumbling slavers running through your mines. Just be careful of Clover, since she's a recruitable NPC, she's abnormally durable compared to your average human character. Once things settle down, loot for keys.

Clover is only for bad karma anyway, if you're not planning on going that way, just kill her ass. But anyway, rule of thumb - if you're having trouble, just buy more stimpacks. In between kills just juice yourself back to near full.

I meant be careful since shes a lot more deadly and can take a lot more punishment than anyone else in there area, not as in a "What have I doooooooooooooone?!" kind of way.

If you do take the Slaver Purging method, bring Charon. His combat shotgun that shoots fists made of lead will be very useful in taking out the guys that survive the mines.

Very Evil at the moment. Gone off to some side quests, got to convince Vance to let me talk to Ian. Bitch aint playing ball though.

Anyone been to Dukov's house? I did what I thought was hilarious but I bet other people here have done as well. You "rescue" that hooker from him and instead of taking her to Rivet, just take her to the Megaton house. Tell her to wait there and walk off. It's like she's yours then, lol. Unfortunately, after a few game days she gets pissed off and leaves. It's still funny. She 's like a piece of decoration that talks.

I must do this now.. Maybe the robot will try to.. You know.

I may start over again.. I lost Charon.

So I was trying to find useful tips onlinefor a friend having hardware problems with his xbox. My character was in Rivet City downstairs in the Market place with Charon while I was trying to find this so called Papertrick for the xbox disc drive.

My controller had since desynched itself bc it was just sitting when everyone in Rivet Market place started shooting at me for no reason! As quickly as I could I got my controller on and made a run for a door, charon following suit right. Got out of the Market place, autosaved when it finished loading, oops "Charon has Died" .. lol. OH FUCK.. I had erased my other saved games as I sometimes do when I'm very pleased with my progress and the only one I had WAS my auto save...

Long story short, I could load up my game, run inside and start blasting to help save my friend.. or continue on with out him.

Got devil horns as it is on my character but.. I'm not sure what to do. One thing I COULD do.. stop depending on these damn auto saves.. I did it before and burned myself =( lesson learned yet??

For Operation: Anchorage

In this DLC pack, the Brotherhood Outcasts are trying to acquire advanced military technology, and the only way to open the vault containing these relics is by completing a tactical simulation only the player can enter. In the simulation the player will fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe: the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from invading Red Chinese troops. The simulation is set between June 2076, when the T-51b Power Armor was first introduced, and January 2077, when Chinese forces were completely driven out of Alaska.

Once the DLC is downloaded, the quest objective for Operation: Anchorage will be activated and a marker will appear on the world map, allowing the player to fast-travel to the location and begin the simulation. The DLC can be played at any time after the player exits Vault 101 at the beginning of the game. After completing the simulation, new equipment will be unlocked for the player to use in the rest of the game.

It is not confirmed, but is highly likely that you will not be able to take some or all of your inventory into the simulation, due to the fact that items such as the Plasma Rifle, Laser Rifle, Plasma Pistol, and Laser Pistol, (the versions of these weapons) are all post-war weapons, which would create a time paradox in the simulation. It is also very likey the player will have a Pip-Boy, as seen in the latest screenshots.

For The Pitt:

The Pitt will be the second Fallout 3 downloadable content pack, to be released in February 2009 for Xbox 360 and Games for Windows Live.

In this DLC pack, the player will journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh. "Choose your side." This DLC is possibly based on some sort of conflict. The player will likely have different, karma-oriented methods of participating in the conflict or interacting with the NPCs in this location.

There is no official word from the developers if the player will be able to use his/her character from the Capital Wasteland storyline, given the unique situation following Take it Back!

During the latest interview with Bethesda, they claimed that Pittsburgh was not hit directly by an atomic bomb, but the surrounding water still became radiated, making the people change in bad ways.

Apparently The Pitt will be accessed via railway, and will probably be loaded as a separate map than the Capital Wasteland.

For Broken Steel:

Broken Steel will be the third Fallout 3 downloadable content pack, to be released in March 2009 for Xbox 360 and Games for Windows Live.

In this DLC pack, you will join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. It will let player continue their adventures after the end of the main quest and raise the level cap to 30. It will also include new enemies and perks.

It is confirmed that the player character will still be the Lone Wanderer, even if the "sacrifice" option was taken at the end of Take it Back!.

The unused Enclave Shock Trooper armor may be used, or was a placeholder for another armor.

It is also unknown if there would be a bad karma option for tasks as joining the enclave. This DLC pack may just be a good karma one, which can also raise questions if there would be a future DLC pack for evil characters.

According to Jeff Gardiner: "In our third DLC, “Broken Steel,” we’ve come up with a way of allowing the player to continue on past the game ending… by changing it!"

Those sound so fun. Why the crap isn't Ps3 getting any DLC!?

Did you guys know you can kill Sticky and receive nothing bad from doing so? You can slaughter him infront of kids and nothing bad at all happens. No kids running away, negative karma, not a damn thing. XD

This batch of DLC sounds interesting but it's not convincing me to go get the 360 version. I'm just wondering if these DLC packs will be like Knights of Nine of Shivering Isles when Oblivion first started having DLC.

Furthermore, these DLC packs are gonna be on PC right?

So, after a lot of annoying work I got the MIRV. Now, it's a cool weapon and all but what's the point? There is nothing strong enough to even warrant a use of it. I used it on 2 Behemoths and sure, it was fun and cool but again, what's the point?

I found an interesting glitch. In Vault 87 where the Enclave come to take the GECK from you there is the real entrance to Vault 87. But if you open the door there is nothing and if you walk into the nothing it sends you to Fawkes cell.

I like Bethesda's strange little inconsistencies. You can send Charon to get the GECK for you if you killed/never released Fawkes. But if you did release him and have him getting it for you, Charon'll tell you it's not in his contract, instead of just reminding you you've got a super mutant fetching it for you.
