"Quite frankly dear, I don't give a damn" - Gone with the Wind

George Taylor: I'm a seeker too. But my dreams aren't like yours. I can't help thinking that somewhere in the universe there has to be something better than man. Has to be.

*****

Cornelius: Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death.

*****

Dr. Zaius: You are right, I have always known about man. From the evidence, I believe his wisdom must walk hand and hand with his idiocy. His emotions must rule his brain. He must be a warlike creature who gives battle to everything around him, even himself.

*****

George Taylor: And that completes my final report until we reach touchdown. We're now on full automatic, in the hands of the computers. I have tucked my crew in for the long sleep and I'll be joining them soon. In less than an hour, we'll finish our sixth month out of Cape Kennedy. Six months in deep space...by our time, that is. According to Dr. Haslein's theory of time, in a vehicle travelling nearly the speed of light, the earth has aged nearly 700 years since we left it, while we've aged hardly at all. Maybe so. This much is probably true - the men who sent us on this journey are long since dead and gone. You who are reading me now are a different breed...I hope a better one. I leave the 20th century with no regrets. But one more thing...if anybody's listening, that is. Nothing scientific, it's purely personal. But seen from out here everything seems different. Time bends. Space is boundless. It squashes a man's ego. I feel lonely. That's about it. Tell me, though, does man, that marvel of the universe, that glorious paradox who sent me to the stars, still make war against his brother? Keep his neighbor's children starving?

Planet of the Apes (1968)

"You know what I hate? A pussy with a gun in his hand." - Shoot 'Em Up

That whole little speech he gives about the many uses of a gun is fucking awesome. Post the whole damn thing you lazy bitch.

(see what I did there? You started reading and assumed I had nothing but nice things to say, and then you get SLAMMED. That's called the Exc forum post 1337 technique)

Doggett: [to the Prince of Orange] You did it again! Colonel Sharpe said you would do it again, and you did! All those men dead because you wanted to get out? You coward!
Rebeque: Doggett! His Royal Highness cannot be called a coward.
Doggett: No, dammnit. No, not cowardice, not that. Just so he can dance and prance, and make high cockalorum, while men die? Horribly? It is too much, I declare, too much! I shall say it!
Doggett: [after a second] You sir, are a silk stocking full of shit!

:bb: Get in.

My favourite movie lines:

FFVII Advent Children:

Sephiroth to Cloud >> "Shall I give you dispear?"

[insert picture of Sephiroth holding a pear]

Police academy films:

Anything that Michael Winslow, *ahem*, "says"!

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring

Gandalf >> "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

I'll probably have more later when I watch my movie collection again.

probably one of my favorite quotes was from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. Not a great movie by any means, BUT, I love the character "Sphinx" played by Vinnie Jones. Throughout the entire movie he doesn't utter a single word, until the very end when they are all sitting around talking and he says:

If his unpleasant wounding has in some way enlightened the rest of you as to the grim finish beneath the glossy veneer of criminal life and inspired you to change your ways, then his injuries carry with it an inherent nobility, and a supreme glory. We should all be so fortunate. You say poor Toby? I say poor us. [British accent]

then they're all staring at him and Memphis says "hey man I thought you were from Long Beach"

Labyrinth:
Jareth: I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave.

Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail:
Minstrel: Brave Sir Robin ran away.
Robin: No!
Minstrel: Bravely ran away away.
Robin: I didn't!
Minstrel: When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled.
Robin: No!
Minstrel: Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about.
Robin: I didn't!
Minstrel: And gallantly he chickened out.
Robin: I never did!
Minstrel: Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat.
Robin: All lies!
Minstrel: Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin!
Robin: I never!

Head Knight: Nnnnni!
Knights of Ni: Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni!
Arthur: Who are you?
Head Knight: We are the Knights Who Say... Ni!

Arthur: Knights of Ni, we are but simple travellers who seek the enchanter who lives beyond these woods -
Knights of Ni: Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! [cont.]
Arthur: Oh, ow!
Head Knight: We shall say "Ni" again to you... if you do not appease us.

Head Knight: You must return here with a shrubbery... or else you will never pass through this wood... alive!
Arthur: O Knights of Ni, you are just and fair, and we will find you a shrubbery.
Head Knight: One that looks nice.
Arthur: Yes, of course.
Head Knight: And not too expensive.
Arthur: Of course not.
Head Knight: NOOOOOOOOW... GO!!!

Head Knight: We are no longer the knights who say "Ni"... We are now the knights who say "Ekky-ekky-ekky-ekky-z'Bang, zoom-Boing, z'nourrrwringmm".
great movie anouther good quote from that one is:

Sir Bedevere: What makes you think she's a witch?
Peasant 3: Well, she turned me into a newt!
Sir Bedevere: A newt?
Peasant 3: [meekly after a long pause] ... I got better.
Crowd: [shouts] Burn her anyway!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Holding the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch]
King Arthur: How does it... um... how does it work?
Sir Lancelot: I know not, my liege.
King Arthur: Consult the Book of Armaments.
Brother Maynard: Armaments, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one.
Cleric: [reading] And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the Lord did grin. And the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths, and carp and anchovies, and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit-bats and large chu...
Brother Maynard: Skip a bit, Brother...
Cleric: And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.
Brother Maynard: Amen.
All: Amen.
King Arthur: Right. One... two... five.
Galahad: Three, sir.
King Arthur: Three.

make me smile every time I see that. That and the;

Drycoff: Are you alright?
Bashed Cop: I think so...
Drycoff: Are you sure? 'Cause, you just went through a wall.

"So this is how liberty dies, with a thunderous applause" -Padme from Star Wars EP III

I always liked that quote.

"Your eyes can be so cruel, just as I can be so cruel"
- Jareth, Labyrinth

"On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place."
-King Arthur, Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Vizzini: Inconceivable!
Inigo Montoya: You keep using that word. I do not think it means, what you think it means.
- Princess Bride

"Everything? OK! I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.
- Chunk, The Goonies

"What would the world be like without Captain Hook?"
- Captain Hook, Hook

"Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen the EXORCIST ABOUT A HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SEVEN TIMES, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT... NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU'RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY... NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK? You think I'm qualified?"
- Betelgeuse, Beetlejuice

"Blade with whom I have lived, blade with whom I now die, serve right and justice one last time, seek one last heart of evil, still one last life of pain, cut well old friend, and then farewell "
- Sir Orin Neville Smythe, The Flight of Dragons

"You are losing my interest, and that is very dangerous."
-King Haggard, The Last Unicorn

"Noids do not have sex with doodles!"
- Frank Harris, Cool World

"Anything I wanted was a phone call away. Free cars. The keys to a dozen hideout flats all over the city. I bet twenty, thirty grand over a weekend and then I'd either blow the winnings in a week or go to the sharks to pay back the bookies. Didn't matter. It didn't mean anything. When I was broke, I'd go out and rob some more. We ran everything. We paid off cops. We paid off lawyers. We paid off judges. Everybody had their hands out. Everything was for the taking. And now it's all over. And that's the hardest part. Today everything is different; there's no action... have to wait around like everyone else. Can't even get decent food - right after I got here, I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce, and I got egg noodles and ketchup. I'm an average nobody... get to live the rest of my life like a schnook."
- Henry Hill, Goodfellas

"At last you've got it all, everything I had... even my life. But you're not going to live to enjoy it! Come with me, murderess, come with me!"
- Frederick Loren, House on Haunted Hill

"So this is what you get when vampires mate. "
- Van Helsing, Van Helsing

Count Dracula: To die, to be really dead, that must be glorious!
Mina Seward: Why, Count Dracula!
Count Dracula: There are far worse things awaiting man than death.
- Dracula (1931)

"Give yourself over to absolute pleasure. Swim the warm waters of sins of the flesh - erotic nightmares beyond any measure, and sensual daydreams to treasure forever. Can't you just see it? Don't dream it, be it."
- Dr. Franken Furter, The Rocky Horror Picture Show

"I will drop-kick those fuckin' dogs across the room if they get near me." -Magnolia. Tom Cruise's character is so awesome in that movie lol.

The entire movie was awesome. All the lines in it were awesome.
There were a couple corny parts iirc.

I can't seem to find the speech right now and I'm at work so I can't watch the movie. The whole movie was awesome.

Yeah...I can't find it either, I even tried looking :(

The corny parts are what made the movie even better.

Also, my all time favorite line from a old movie that I can't remember the name of.
"Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups."
