fenrir fight go wrong

I just disbanded from a fenrir fight when 1/2 the PT was killed. Other 3 well escaped. We all used our 2hrs and i didn't have mine (not ready 30mins left).

Pt was
Turkloom smn
kyora smn
meastoso smn
teng smn
mightymage (paid customer)
skool (paid customer)

Mightymage and skool are paying so they just sit in a corner and we do the fight. I disbanded after fight cause i joined knowing we weren't gonna fail. I have lost over 4k xp in promyvion-vahzl and now 1 death at lv.75 meaning i am @10k xp loss atm. My principle is xp loss over gil, i dun give a damn hence i disbanded then Kyora started saying in /tell to me i dun give a shit about your principle and that i am selfish. Now is that right to say to someone who came all the way from Promyvion Vahzl fight THEN helped mugenteg get his MNK AF3 and then kyora comes begging me to come to toraimarai canal to help earn her 200k by defeating fenrir. Is that right, i want opinions. I am rushing my butt the entire morning doing missions and helping ppl and this is what i get. Now kyora blisted me cause "she doesn't give a shit on my principle, xp over gil [No thx] according to her is selfish".
 
Only 4 SMNs? I thought you needed 5 for a decent shot at beating Fenrir.
 
exp loss is nothing you little biach, helping others/making them feel good means a whole lot more if you didnt notice
 
Why did you even go into a fight against Fenrir with only 4 smns when your 2hour wasn't ready? That makes no sense at all. I hope the paying customers didn't die and didn't have to pay if you guys botched it for them.
 
Ok, now I'd like to introduce myself, as I read these boards on occasion but do not reply or participate in them much at all. My name is Meastoso and I'm a 75SMN who most people on the server know. I usually keep to myself but this post must be set straight.

To reiterate, yes, this battle can, and has been done with 4 SMNs. I do this with 4 SMNs almost every week when someone aproaches me to organize a Fenrir fight for them I do so. The price is 100k/SMN, a total of 400k. Teng isn't normally one of the 4 SMNs I go with, It's usually Myself, Kyora, Turkloom, and Maurinendalorin. We all do it very well and I believe we still hold the record...with only four of us. Maurine could not make it last minute, so I gave Teng a /tell and asked if he felt like making some money. And no, Kyora did not /tell Teng before he came 'begging him to come so she can make 200k' as Teng puts it, I asked him to come because he was online and knew he was capable of helping out.

Sometimes the fight can go bad, and unfortunatly this one did. Turkloom was oneshotted by the 2hour and with his avatar gone, and Kyora and I resummoning, Teng was left only with his avatar up, and he too fell. Now, we don't always have a WHM leech so we take Raise 1 and it's not a big deal. It's what you get for doing "Merc Jobs". After doing several things this morning I suppose Teng was on his last nerve with this death and I wouldn't blame him, but your doing a 'job' not something for your own pleasure or need. Your "working" for others who are paying you to defeat Fenrir. He homepoints and disbands leaving us with nothing to continue with. He was quick to blame others and badgered us with questions as to why *WE* messed up and why only *HIS* avatar was fighting. Unfortunatly he lacked the experience the usual 4 of us have with Fenrir and that cost us the battle.

I was once friends with Teng, otherwise I would not have asked him to come along. He had a bad day/night but is priorities are quite out of line.

This is the first and what I hope to be the last post on this flameboard. Take care.

I asked Teng about this, not sure if he responded to it on here yet or not but the party was impatient apparently and wanted to fight. They said to just use the level 70 spinning drive. So dont hold Teng accountable for this. It was group error.

Ok first off Meastoso I would like to point out a couple of things since you are Flaming someone who never wanted to do this in the first place.

1. "I do this with 4 SMNs almost every week" "Teng isn't normally one of the 4 SMNs I go with" - Since Teng is not your "regular" in this static mercenary group, I am sure you went ahead and filled him in on the exact strat that you would be using. I am sure as one of the experienced members of the group you also had the foresight to make sure everyone had their two hours ready. It seems to me that if you each are getting paid 200k then you would be fairly concerned about the status of your party. I talked to Teng about his 2 hour not being ready and he said that you guys were impatient and did not want to wait for it. You cannot hold Teng accountable for this if this is true.

Ok so we know what happened in the fight but what I dont get is this:

It seems to me that the reason you guys lost the fight was because you guys are lousy leaders. Clearly as you said nothing that Teng did directly had any real influence on why you lost this fight. He used items for MP regen and all of that stuff. Had you waited 30 damned minutes and gone over your 'stellar' strategy then perhaps this would not have happened. But you neglected to wait for his 2hr because you were impatient. Don't flame Teng because you fucked up. I am sorry for repeating myself but it is almost 3 am and I am tired.

As for him quitting the party because he died, how dare you blame him? You didn't go into the party with all of your aces in the hole. You were unorganized. If that was my first time and I saw such chaos, I would leave too. It is not like he took their money and ran.

This can be done with 4 smn and no 2 hours btw.

When I went everyone used Spinning Dive one after another, when Fenrir was getting ready to do his 2 hour one of the SMNs I went with dismissed their avatar causing his 2 hour to fail. When Fenrir went after them I used Invincible + Provoke as a level 10 PLD pulling hate off them and giving everyone time to re-cast Leviathan and continue on.

No deaths, not even me as a level 10 PLD.

I don't know anything about the actual fenrir fight with smns, however i need to post to say a few things.

First of all Mea is a great leader. I was in a static with him for quite sometime and he is a great player.

Second. If you really cared all that much about xp, why did you homepoint? A raise 1 saves you at least 1k xp. Also, you can buy hi-rereaisers for 10k, which has the effect of reraise2. I buy this when i go into fights where i know i'll only be able to get a R1 if I die.

Shit happens sometimes. It's only xp. Deal with it.
 
In this case i see Teng was being a little bitch, "oohhh 4k EXP loss". Over the past months when i was doing HNM/sky, Dynamis, other random shit ive lost about 80k EXP, thats enough to lvl to 75 2 times.

come on teng.. xp and gil are easy to make. unless you actually aimed to be on the flameboard... :twisted:

The fight was disorganized and chaotic. There was no fluidity and you don't have to be there to see that. Who gives a FUCK how much xp you have lost in the last doing HNMs and sky runs? This post is not about you so stuff it. You fucking chose to be a PLD and do HNM runs. Teng from what I see didn't even want to be there in the first place and got dragged into it.

I guess I am pissed because Teng is my friend and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon to flame him. Any friend would be pissed to see that. But look at the situation and close your god damned mouths.

If teng really did care about EXP he would of stayed for the R1, but like a bitch he Hped and lost more EXP he brought it upon himself.

This probably partially due to the fact that it was his first time to fight fenrir with that group, so hw might not have known the strategy as well as their usual member. I didn't see anything about him being forced there, just that he was asked to go. There's blame to go on both sides, so don't just act like he's completely innocent in the whole thing.

I think that just ditching the group was rude, I understand why he wanted to do it, but it's still rude. What several people have said is also true; if all he cared about was exp, he would have at least taken the R1 to get as much back as he could or just brought a re-raise item.
