I've read over this entire thread, and heres what I sum up.
Dynamis, wheee, you cna already smell the drama coming. Ferque is there, he's got a bad rep, but obviously up until this point he hasn't done anything noteworthy to get him kicked out of the LS. How long was he in it? A day? A week? i'm gonna go with 2 months.
Ok, so he's gone 2 months on good behavior. Now, tday he's feeling lucky for his dynamis, "It's my turn to get my rdm hat if it drops, whoot!" So excited, he goes in.
Suddenly something comes up. No idea what, but something that left him goign afk for hour or however long.
Now he comes back, and OMGWTFBBQ HIS HAT DROPS!!!! Of course, he lots. So he was afk for most of the run, thinking it from his perspective, thats 1 or 2 hours afk, compared to, what? Month or two of non afk in runs? He's earned that hat in his own mind, and it IS his turn.
Now here's where two things either happen, cause I don't believe this was a premeditated Nin lot.
First thing, is he sees the ls chat of everyone telling him to pass. PASS FERQUE, PASS!!!
... Here's were one of 2 things goes through his head. EITHER A, "oh,... kk fine... ;__;" *gets ready to pass* goes to hit it, goes to his menu, at some point, his recieve rate hits 0.
You try and call bullshit, but I have a horrible moment of d/c for a few seconds at least once per day, often involving starting a fight with a EM mob, or trying to buy something, or whateve,r and the D/C ends with me losing a bunch of money, dying, whatever.
So the chances of Him D/Cing over a period of 30 secs to a minute? Pretty high if you ask me. The whole time he's most likely screaming in fustration, slamming the enter key over the pas button, or item button.
You say he could log out, shut down, disband, whatever. but if he's lagging, only option fro what I see is to log out via hitting the shortkey not many of us know, cause to log out via menu brings up a second asking menu that wont come up if you're lagging.
Now when something likethis happens, who here can seriously, honestly say that they'll sit and remember the shortkey to logout? Not me, I'd scream in frustration and spam enter over the pass button.
He then finishes DCing, and either gets booted form game, or not. Hell I bet someone tried to boot him from the pt and now won't own up to it becuase they're afraid they'll take heat now that the mob has started forming over ferque.
Then, once he starts existing again, he already knows what's coming. And there's nothing he can do to prove himself true.
Of course, technicly there's nothing you cna do to prove that he DID do anythign either, but of course everyone automaticly asumes he nin lotted...
Or option B...
He sees everyone telling him to pass, thinks "No way, this hat is MINE BITCHES >o" and doesn't pass, then disbands and logs out, themn attempts to explain he D/Ced after...
Wierd, you'd think if he had wanted to nin lot he'd have done it the FIRST drop, and would've waited for a much better peice than the hat, like legs or body... But you know, he'll sit and wait for a month or two of drops and only lot on his hat after it's dropped a couple times, pasing up body or whatever else was way better, and opt for a lower tier item instead. Yeah that makes sense.
All in all, There is NO proof he did it, and NO proof he didn't. All there IS is proof of you people ASSUMING he did, with ZERO evidence either way, and HARASSING him. Yeah, real tough with the anomity of teh internets, huh guys? >_>;
