Yeah yeah i know all of you have it on your computers with myself included, but it's still pretty cool getting out of work stoppin by your local retailer that sells DVDs and seeing this great piece of cinematic accomplishment /hurray!
I, along with several people i know, have watched it several times through and i can confidently say that it has always been a good time everytime i watch it. So making the jump from my little 18'' monitor thingy up to my HD 62'' DLP will be a pretty badass switch...IM SO EXCITED TO WATCH IT TONIGHT :D
 
Saw it about 8months ago ( 8^) ). Was an ok extension of the game and nice to look at, but plot/story wise, nothing to great. Def much better than "Spirits Within"
 
if it is in english, the voice casting much good?
 
Im going to watch it first in Japanese then back in English...Probably wont' get to it tonight (yeah really defeated the joy in 1st post) because of a test and essay due tomorrow :(

I heard it was horrible, so I was expecting it to be. I didn't think it was all that bad.

Play KH2 they have some of the voices in there, if im correct.
 
spirits was a good movie. It just wasnt realted to FF. thats why people cry about it.
Havent heard the english acting yet. But if they got mena suvari to do aerith again. its over. SHE SUCKS AT IT!

1) Steve Buscemi.
2) James Woods.
3) Alec Baldwin's character is kinda hot.

The story isn't nearly as incomprehensible as Advent Children, which I view as splendid eye candy to extend a game I didn't much like in the first place.

Whiney nerds who think watching anime in Japenese increases the length of thier nerd penis.
 
I watch things either in English or in English with the subtitles on so that I can see the original lines. I don't really give a shit about voice actors. People overreact.The only voice acting that I see trully botched is in children's animes where they give people odd accents, add in slang terms, and extra lines when you cant see a character's mouth.
 
Apart from the movie, the best part of the 2 Disc Set is the "Reminiscence of Final Fantasy VII" thats in the 1st Disc. Watching all those cutscenes again after 10 years made me experience again all those emotions. Wow!

I have to agree with Shaunessy here, Spirits Within was a good movie, people just moaned groaned and bitched because it wasnt based off of a FF game, guys, you do know that it was licensed by Square right? And they made a whole new plot/story for the movie, same as they did with all the games pre-Square-Enix, no sequals, not prequals, etc, the movie was independant of the games, just like they were of eachother, thats why I liked it so much

just because it wasnt based from one of the games doesnt mean it wasnt a good movie

I agree with it all cept the Alec Baldwin being hot <.<; for some reason my girl might worry if I agree'd with that Hali :P
 
the japanese voice casting is much much better than the english. in the english they all sound like rugged mountain men
 
I thought the Japanese voice casting was perfect, each voice fit the character perfectly. Especially Tifa and Cloud, they were really well done. Im just overall enchanted by this movie...
and as far as spirits within...
steve buscemi is alright
but why the fuck alec baldwin jesus thats just awful
