hello.

I was wondering if some of you played ff12 and actually beat Omega MK-XII
and Yamzat, the 2 secret and super hard bosses. The best ive done is bring them to 50% after a very long fight (5hours...) but then either I wipe my pt or boss recovers HP too fast when i try to heal myself far away.

btw my 6 characters are lv99 and with some of the best gears. Omega mk-XII has like 100 million HP and Yamzat over 700Millions i heard.

lolyeah i went so far as to have it imported and learn japanese as well as maxed out everything in the game. lolyaright

If you don't have anything valuable to say, don't say anything

For Yazmat I have read at Gamefaqs you can leave the area and go save/w/e and he will not heal hp. But it's mainly an endurance contest, and they get worse when they get low on hp. like <15%

Throw More Blm And Summoners At It!

Cept Summons in XII suck, specially on bosses ;P, and characters don't really have defined jobs, they are what you want em to be.

Ele was being sarcastic like:wink:

But I read about it, and I guess its true...SE really did put in som ridiculously long time to kill HNM type mobs in FF12 :(

ummmm why don't you tell that to EVERYONE ON QCDN.

Whatd really suck is if the game autosaved after kill and whatever it gives isn't 100% drop...
...But then, with L99 all characters, does another item really matter? =P

Sure it does, especially considering I doubt the optional boss mobs in FFXII respawn =P

Won't have to worry about that, since he doesn't drop anything himself, he's used in a mob hunt quest, which the reward is a crest you sell(plus one from another optional boss) during trade goods to be able to get 1 of the strongest equips in game. Most mob hunts work like that

But with the Gambit system, you don't actually have to PLAY the game!

Never touched the game. I assume Gambit mode is some sort of AI-Control?

Since the game isn't turnbased, but rather pseudo-real time with weapon delays like an MMO, the Gambit system allows you to give instructions to the party members your not controlling at the time.

Dear lord, could you imagine trying to do a dynamis when you control all the people involved? <.<

Gambit Dynamis -Xarcabard {No Thanks}

It is a good thing it's there(the gambit system), for tedious tasks you're repeating for the millionth time, like rebuffing, or curing a status, on most optional bosses though you'll wanna control the characters, since they can and will wipe you out, although specifically enginereed gambits might work.
Either way, you don't have to use gambits, it's optional, if you wanna let the game play itself w/e, there's that option, I'll be using em for tedious tasks I outlined above though, and controlling everything else, wait or active mode I haven't decided yet.
One playthru may be active mode using gambits, my next could be wait mode w/o gambits.
