I'm the Interim Managing Editor over at FINAL FANTASY XI Stratics and we've recently launched a contest in celebration of the release of FINAL FANTASY® XI Vana'diel® Collection 2007. I must be odd, because I've wanted an Alienware computer.

All the bells and whistles with a staggering mark up? Hot damn, let me get my check book!
 
I like alienware for two simple ressons, look good and good at gaming kinda after you customermise it

You'd spend thousands of pounds in selling fees, and shipping fees to shit all your crap over to america, and then buying fees on buying a new house, just so you could get a laptop, so you could then move back to england?

So this is, what, semi-legit? He ain't no seller, but why advertise his site here? Also, if SE wanted to know opinions about the task force, why just ask one website?
 
SE never asks one site last time they askd the public they asked 6 ffxi fourm websites
 
It is not an official FFXI site. Take a look at their "about us" link. They are a general and pay for membership site.

I guess they are trying to be Kind of like IGN for the MMO community?
 
No ,stratics isn't exactly a pay site. You can pay for a premium account but also free ones too. Stratics used to be the shit for Ultima Online and I did have a premium account back in the day there. I don't know if they still are or not but they were the offical ultima online message board. The game devilopers posted quite frequently in there. Last I been there tho there FFXI section was almost dead.
 
Usually a give away Alienware is only worth around $2000, not much different from you buying a computer worth of $2000 from Dell, or HP or Gateway

so don't think you are wining a powerful computer, will have limitation on some game that need to run on uber computer, only look goods :P
 
Lets hold a similar contest for the ladies of this site than involves a camera and absence of clothing.

Because I'd like to reach the FINAL FANTASY XI community and Quetzalcoatl Daily News hosts a large community.

I can't say for certain, but I would presume that SQUARE ENIX is rotating exclusives within their Premier Sites.

You are correct. The only offiical FINAL FANTASY XI site is hosted on playonline.com. We are, however, a Premier Community Site (Source: http://www.playonline.com/polapps/s/fansite.site.Top?polg_loc=en )

The "Stratics Plus" membership essentially removes advertisements from the site and has other small benefits but nothing is taken away from our general users.
