i dont remember saying that someone didnt warp me. There is an auction house in khazam but none in boyahada where u can change jobs and death warp. Its so funny though ppl like u get pissed for no reason and start flaming.Like SB just said "Do us a a favor and move to WoW..."..????

LMAO

I've commented on you on many other threads including the one about D2s in case you didn't notice. That is why I am flaming you. You say the most idiotic things, so I didn't say "move to WoW" based on this thread alone. I mean the whole calling a GM because you thought someone had a faster flee than you was reason enough for me to say that....

You will find that every single MMO game thats ever come out has been the same way in its early stages. Everyones a newb at that time and everyone is learning the games basics. In a year WoW will be the same as EQ, the same as FFXI, the same as every other MMO that gets rolled out. There will always be the people that try to get the very most out of the game. The money sellers, the "1337 dr0pz" farmers and the like. It's just how it is.

If you plan on quiting one game to join another one (thats new), just don't expect everyone to give a damn about you or anyone else forever.

I actually took the time to read that. Now my eyes hurt.

Only one comments, give WoW a year it will turn into what FFXI has become. All online games do, they always have.

Read the starter post and didn't read the following responses. But that just proves my point.

jezza fuck the whm in the ass who said they didnt want to use reraise, that is bullshit.

Forgive me if I repeat a few already said things, but a LOT of these posts are nonstop droning that I don't have the patience to read ^^;

As said - All MMORPGs tend to start the same - people help eachother, people tend to be friendly, etc, unfortunately, this is mostly because most people are kissing asses to get ahead.

After some time - Some people are higher level than others. This tends to make their ego get nice and inflated, making them think they're better than others. A few people want to help the lower-levelled or less fortunate, but unfortunately, many of the lower-level people are
a. noobs, idiots, morons, etc, usually linked to b.
b. ungrateful
c. anti-elitists, rather, to such a degree that any who is stronger than them "has no life". usually linked with a.

Abridging the crap said above, it's safe to say, there will eventually be five types of people
Type 1 - High level people who don't help (No effect)
Type 2 - High level people who want to help
Type 3 - Noobs people who seek help, but
a. - Are thankful
b. - Aren't thankful
Type 4 - Noobs who demand help
Type 5 - Noobs people who hate anyone higher level than them

That small, stupid little list I've made, can sortof explain why everyone becomes selfish, and, well, paranoid, of helping anyone at all.
Type 1 doesn't wanna help anyone to begin with, type 2 wants to help but risks dealing with type 3a, 3b, 4 or 5. And of those four types they can deal with, only one has a positive impact on what they do. Eventually, after having to mess with the others so often, they give up on helping people and become type 1.

Can totally ignore this post, it's my point of view....differently said, no one wants to help eachother in the end because they're so worried it's gonna be just another ungrateful ass.

Definitley, more and more people gravitate towards type one as they get higher. It has gotten to the point where I will only help when there is gil involved or a friend/LS mate needs it.

It's more water under the mill, but hey, I think there's another thing that shifts in perspective in a MMORPG over time.

At first, people are drifting in unknowns. No one's entirely sure of the full potential of their job at any given level. A PLD self-curing might have sounded more like a commodity than a hate-gathering tool for the first few NAs who got to unlock that advanced job.

But now that plenty of NAs got to L75, many of those unknowns have been uncovered. So much that there is a general concensus on what's the best strategy, which becomes the 100% efficiency mark. Anything below that is considered "not ideal", and anything falling too far behind the optimal mark for one's personnal taste is thus labeled "gimp".

WoW hasn't defined the 100% mark yet. Their version of Sniper Rings, Emperor Hairpin, Ochidote's Kote, E.Bow are still in the realm of luxury. But the day those items will set the mark for peak efficiency, anything below top-notch will become less desirable. And the war for acquisition of those luxury items in order to measure up to the best will begin. 'Cause hey, you will want to PK that L60 Druid who has all the best equipment, and pure skill won't be enough to compensate for his top of the line gear, which will be a standard for all l33t players to follow.

The fight for those elite items will turn WoW, just like FFXI, into a dog-eat-dog game. At least, those über items are most likely the equivalent of Rare/Ex, being "bound upon pick-up". So instead of having Gil wars, it'll be a war for getting the help necessary for those über items, most likely obtained through huge raids, equivalent to God fighting in this game. So only the most powerful guilds will own those items, and those not within those circles will be left with a strong feeling of envy and hatred towards those who have "connections" for obtaining those items.

But hey, it's all speculation. But I doubt anyone would have a lasting interest in a game that doesn't give them the chance to be better than most other players. Skill is important during the early life of the game. It still is in the end-game, but what you wear seems to become more important than what you do.

All I have to say is this.

If you're in an XP party, and someone asks you for a D2...

You have to disband, join a party with the person you have to D2, waste 150MP (which is a lot when you're an Elvaan BLM), disband, rejoin your party, and rest that 150MP you just wasted.

It's a waste of time when you're in an XP party.

Any other time, hell, I'll D2 you, but I'd hope for a donation for the waste of my time, and MP...

Plz don't tell people that you don't like to go to WoW.

We don't want them any more than you do! :)

Actually the way WoW is setup the BEST of the best equip comes from 'instances', which are individually set level shards. Each group that enters a shard gets their own unique level, with no interaction with any other shard.

If you want the Fire God of Doom's hammer you can get ppl together at ANY TIME with NO RISK OF LOSING THE MOB TO ANOTHER GROUP. Whether the item drops or not is iffy, but if it doesnt drop you can leave your instance shard, and come back five minutes later generating a NEW shard, with the fire god still alive, and kill him again! Repeat until item drops.

Downside being a good party of the proper level is required as the instances are very difficult. However there are always multiple bosses that drop awesome stuff.

No provoke spamming!!!!! YAY!!!!!

As to how much the community declines we shall see, so far on my server we have 2 main guilds (one with over 700 members and one with 400[mine]) who are extremely well coordinated. People have been End-game for about a week and a half now. I'm interested to see how things go.

WoW has no exp loss when u die, but on the same time u dont wanna die cuz u dun wanan walk from teh graveyard to ur corpse (Its not that far but still),and cuz of that people dont level down.I heard someone's little brother kept killing his big brother's dark knight and it leveled down back to level 28 from 75 (Read it on a forum....).Also most of the arrows and bolts in WoW are sold by npcs or can be crafted easily (Takes like 10 mins to get enough arrows for like 2 days... if ur hunting proper mobs). This way a gil seller cant sell those items at a high price and make ranger an expensive job.A gil seller would in no way survive on a game like WoW cuz gil and items wont take a 24 hrs or like a whole fckin weak to get it,although it might take u time to level for the mob and get people.THere is no NM camping in WoW.NM camping = bullsht cuz it teaches u to give a shit about the poor guy who needs the drop and was camping for like 6 hrs lol (I camp my self cuz too bad thats the only way to make decent gil). All i know is Final Fantasy is in no way recommended for a person who cant play like 5 hrs straight everyday (Good equip and stats are still impossible though unless it takes u 5 years to get to level 50).
Now response to Mashaela;s posts.Everytime a high leveled helped me i said thank you like 5 or 6 times and everytime i see him i wave and do all that stuff, because thats the most i can do to a level 75.I even promised ppl who helped me that if they ever needed me (Which they never would i think cuz i'm lower than em) than i'll be happy to help.I remember doin rank 4 and 5 a few times when i wasnt busyand that took like 4 hrs each trip.I even died during rank 5 when i wasnt 59 (I was helping total strangers except i took my friend along) still i didnt expect much more than a thank you from em.So u said "Ungrateful Noobs" i dun understand what u mean by that??.

Hey hey! I've been playing WoW for a month now...

In just a small guild with my friends in real life, + a few random nice people we've met that were guildless. We send each other crafting supplies (I'm a chemist, so I need herbs off of drops from my hunter buddy Anglis, and in turn I send him bad "uncommon" (magical) items to disenchant for his enchanting skill and ore for Jobe's engineering.) I plan on sending USEFUL leather to Darwyn when my priest actually starts picking up medium and heavy leather (he's an itty-bitty 16 right now)... it's a nice circle.

RIGHT NOW, for me, WoW is a lot less stressful for me than FFXI ever was. I feel that in everybody's MMO experiences, they have an "awakening" so to speak. In FFXI, it was realizing in whole that Ninjas are tanks, that there are REALLY good items out there that cost 100's of K of gil, that certain EXP per hour rates just aren't going to cut it... I believe I've already had my awakening in WoW. I realize that it's a good idea to get involved with a good group of people if you want the BEST items out there (instance groups, which someone already mentioned). However, these certainly aren't needed to level effectively solo. I'm a rogue, and I play most of my time solo just because I can be so much more efficient in that way. IMO, all the "uber" items are for is "owning" other people in duels... or on raids against the other faction, which is part of the game indeed.

I wouldn't say that WoW is BETTER than FFXI, but as of right now there are no AH issues, no "price-jacking" (although I find it funny the lower-grade wool cloth on Malygos goes for twice as much as the more-used Silk Cloth on the AH), and the world and concepts of the game are very well put together.... time will tell, however, when people start finding exploits, the servers get more populated, and pretty soon we'll have herbalists "camping" Wintersbite or another herb even more rare and fighting over it.

All that said...

95% of paladins are fucking idiots on WoW. 80% of humans are fucking idiots on WoW. And 80% of the server is Alliance. You do the math.... yep, that's a lot of idiots. Good thing I don't have to depend on them for parties. :D

Ok I don’t understand why, but day by day I'm finding out that most of the people who are left playing FFXI either have mental & emotional problems, or are perfectionists. First of all, you guys make crazy ideas spread them, and then you aren’t willing to accept anything else. Lets say u have in your mind that the best jobs are RNG and BLM; you should still consider that other jobs are equally good, and do a good job in different situations. Ok, you get a BLM, lets say you get 10k exp an hour, still, what’s going to happen in the end? You'll get to 75 a bit faster or something? In the past two weeks, two of my friends left game because they couldn’t get in parties because of this. This is totally insane. People’s closed minds go further than just jobs. Like most WHMs have this in their comment: ‘[veteran]’. What the fuck do you mean by veteran? I hate the guy with that in his search comment… One day he was new too! What about then?! And now he’s leveled a WHM or something to level 75 and he wants veterans for some reason? I don’t understand… This game is going nowhere but downhill.

Everyday people’s expectations on stats are increasing along with the price of items. Just look at the price of emperor hairpin, its freakin 670k! And this guy says to me: "Hey, if I was you, I wouldn’t tank without a Emperor’s Hairpin." and my response was: WTF?! I think either a handful of people who have nothing to do, but make their wives work for them while they farm for Gil, or Gil sellers, are encouraging this trend of ‘the best stats’ ‘best armor’ ‘and 100s of hours spent in game’. Even then it doesn’t matter sometimes. My friend has been level 52 for two weeks, and this Sunday he’s quitting game if he can’t get level 54. He waits for hours and hours for a party. He’s a Warrior, he has the nice armor, and both monk & ninja subjobs available. On the same note haven’t seen Tailorfw (another friend) online for a while… Maybe he quit or something. That guy, Taylorfw helped me and others for hours and hours and got almost nothing back. He was helping some friend get RDM AF, and another WHM started yelling at him because he was 56 and didn’t have raise 2. (He wasn’t partying those days). We were about to try farming some mobs together but he hasn’t logged in two weeks.

Mages:-
FFXI gave WHMs the ability to raise, and BLMs the ability to warp… But unfortunately, a large number of players just walk over corpses or refuse to warp at all. If you spend half a minute and 100 mp on a guy to warp him back to Jeuno, how much would it hurt you? It won’t obviously take you like 30 to 50 minutes. And not raising someone just because they were in your camp is pointless also. Because I'm sure that guy is going come back and camp their again, or try to take revenge some other day. Furthering even more ill will and other garbage….

Gil:-
One of the major points I’m getting at is this game is becoming [incredibly tough.] for college students who need to study for their future, or people who work long hours, or even students like myself. People in FFXI are greedy as hell for something that doesn’t even matter much. I mean NM drops are suppose to be rare and People are camping them and/or are botting them. People are so crazy that they buy Gil online with real money which further perpetuates the Gil selling (Shame on you dude).

Other games ;-
I played WoW (World of Warcraft) along with FFXI and I was so damn impressed by that game. People actually help each other out. I entered this new guild and i asked questions and no one called me a noob. My guild leader welcomed me and gave me tips about how to level in different areas, and also came on his mount while he was passing through and gave me 4 bags and dagger that I couldn’t afford at that moment.

I leveled skinning fast, and soon I got requests for leather and armor that I happily made for people. We helped each other out. No need for ‘uber gear’, but you must have your level’s gear or try to borrow it from a fellow player, if you weren’t in possession of it. Alliances went and tried out monsters, and if someone died they didn’t whine like their whole life was turned upside down. As far as cheaters, their might be some cheaters but at least they don’t affect the community, players, or the auction house.

WoW is not a better game or anything, its almost the same; but the community in there is a lot better and caring/sharing as compared to FFXI. LoL I haven’t cried in two years, and I was playing FFXI, and had tears in my eyes.... now that’s freaky isn’t it? What’s going on in here? I think maybe people got used to this behavior after playing with the Japanese, who at least had language barrier. Sorry for typing this much and I hope u can understand my point and make sense of it. Games are suppose to be fun especially online ones where you try to beat monsters together instead of feasting on each other and making fun of each other's armor.

On a side note: I hear this new stuff about not inviting WARs, SAMs, Dragoons, and others.

[Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass.] should be removed from tabs ^^

Thanks for reading but please think about it. Also, excuse me for spelling something wrong, and the grammar mistakes. ;)

I understood your point, and well... I made sense of it...

THere are a few points I wanted to highlight here, first off, as far as the best gear goes, it is generally a sign that you are a dedicated player and are willing to try your hardest to do what you can to be the best. And I can tell you from personal experience I have partied with enough underequiped people to know it realy does make a different. As a small example, I partied with a Ranger that was doing only 55-65 damage per shot. I was doing double swings with my dagger in less time for 25-30 damage a hit, meaning I was out damaging a Ranger... I have partied with Black mages that didn't have spells that were good on the mobs we were fighting... Equiptment really does make a difference.

As far as putting (Veteran) in your comment, usually it is to signify that you are a Veteran player, not that you are seeking veteran players. I put that in my comment a long time ago because I thought it was amusing, and a few months later I started seeing it alot. A lot of perople really just want to party and are trying to sell themselves by adding things like that in thier comment box. THink of it as saying: "I am not a newb, I know what I am doing." Instead of "Fuck off newbs, I know what I'm doing."

I saw Tylerfx getting emoted to death last night. Never met the guy, but I thought you should know he's still on...

THis game really isn't that bad. Yes people do get stuck in their ways... Like where to level has been more of a gripe of mine then what jobs are in the group... THere are roughly 16 alternatives to the dunes and everyone bitches still...

I love Samurai, I generally have been looking for them in recent days, and in later levels, aside from Rangers, they will be an ecellent Skillchain partner. Wars as well..

But I will say this: You might be finding a lot of problems because you have a hair trigger on your anger/frustration, and you yourself are quite close minded. Your patience comes from your immaturity, a lot of us are older and don't look at the game through the same eyes. You can look at it and have fun, where a great majority have trained thier brains through years working to look at the gaime as an escape, but it is still a job. And in order to derive pleasure from it, you need to be successful at it.

And I shit you not. Your banter in the other threads you stepped into and really made an ass of yourself, really tarnished a lot of peoples' image of you. You are not rational, nor are you mature, thus making you a liability in a party situation. Find people like yourself that don't take the game so seriously. Because a lot of the people will take this game too seriously... And your personality vs. thiers will always clash.

Also, no matter what, you need to be courtious to everyone, just as you yourself stated with your example of the WHM not raising, it just makes more garbage... you piss someone off, accuse them of botting when they didn't, accuse them of hacks when they don't, or call them a faggot when they've prolly been fucking women longer than you've been alive... You are just making more garbage.

Wolf, unlike most people so far, I was able to read your post fairly easily. I can see alot of where you are coming from. For instance, at lvl 27 thf/ nin my gear is ridiculously expensive compared to alot of other jons my level, and i'm farming for empy hairpin which is the last thing i really need to get until i hit lvl 35, I've gotten all my other equipment until 35. The prices for stuff are going up but yet the goods that i sell for farming are also going up. Not so dramatticaly as empy pin (just ridiculous) but still. Its a pain in the ass, but I'd like to have it. Still not getting into a pt because I dont have pin is ridiculous, of course it could add the edge to my game and party but its ridiculous to believe someone who doesnt have it is not worth partying with, or some who is not a Veteran isnt worth partying with. Its called helping other players learn to play better. Not the elitist "You are not worht my time", some jackasses really are not, but someone who's thf just go Trick Attack and they are trying to get used to using it is not deserving of that bullshit.

Bleah..You're lucky it's an Empy pin you get ragged on about not having...mine's Fenrir :?

:? What level did you start getting ragged on about that for? I don't get ragged on about it, because I do my job well anyway, but it is definitely a good piece of equipment.

A lot of the time it's before a party even sees what I can do w/o him. "Do you have Fenrir?" "No do you?" :x

It's getting really bad now as I approach the level that I would be getting Ecliptic Howl....Which is a party Acc & Eva buff. Can't really make up for missing this ability no matter what I do or what gear I have. People piss me off.
