ITs fucking done.I couldn't log on yesterday so i just gave up adn now i tried to log in still no luck.WTF they maintain half of the game time still they can't fix it for shit.wtf is this nonsense

This is bullshit how can they suck this much after charging a dollar per content ID.Most games liek wow charge you once for a whole account with unlimited chars and they freakin update a whole damn dungeon with creative stuff in it in 2 3 hrs.Their updates never fuck up and the connection is smooth wtf is wrong with POl it sucks.POL doesn't even have forums on the website so no one can tell them how much they suck at customer support and the service.

You guys are getting too worked up. Considering the quality of a game they're giving this is nothing imo. Gee, it's down for what, 20 hours. Anyone notice when it's not down for like 500? I can't login either and couldn't last night, but jesus it's not the end of the world and $12.95 is fucking pocket change.

Even tho my family could probably buy every qcdn member's FFXI account without breaking a sweat, I still dont say $12.95 is pocket change. You are just proving your ignorance towards the value of a dollar. People work hard every day to earn their money, and any money earned is not simply pocket change.
Look on the news and see how good we have it. One third of the world would kill to get $12.95.

12 95 is for one char and that shit adds up.If i give one piece of gum to a kid a day thats a whole pack in a week.4 packs a month and 40 packs a year.Now if one pack costs me 2 dollars thats fucking 80 dollars. :twisted:
i dunno about everyone else, but i cant play every day of the week. I just got home from school, had a test every day since last fckin tuesday. I come home looking forward to finally getting on and gettin come crap done that ive been wanting to do all week... and get fckin POL errors up the yin yang... i think its situations like this that give us as paying customers a right to complain. Of course it does work for 500 hours fine and we dont complain about it. but thats what we pay for, those times when its easy to log on. Now all i have to do is replaying FF 7 again while waiting on this damn emergency maintenece, instead of hitting 66 on my thf ;_;

It's not about the money, it's about my time - although I do pay for a service ($230 so far since I started) and I expect to be entertained.... Kinda like when the cable goes out - except that when my cable company does planned maintenance, they reroute the signal so I don't lose service.
I have an emotional attachment to my time - I don't have an endless supply of it. The fact that I have played as much as I have (which, grand scheme of things, isn't THAT much, but still...) makes me perturbed that I can't play when I choose to. I get angry when someone else abuses my time, especially when I pay them for a service.
Consider this:
You go to Dinsleyland because you want to ride the Matterhorn. You get the time off work, you gas up the car, you get the sunscreen out, and you prepare to have fun. $10 to park, $50 to get in, $40 for food, and the line for the ride you want is an hour long. You have an investment in time, in money, and emotionally you are looking for a very specific satisfaction.
But you anticipate the fun of the ride, and it's worth it to you, so you get in line. Now, 57 minutes later, you're about 3 minutes from the front of the line, and they up and close the ride for some unexpected repairs. Should be back in 3 hours. No biggie, you go to Toon Town and throw popcorn at the vendors.
You come back 3 hours later, and the sign that said "Closed for repairs - will be back up in 3 hours" is still there, and nobody is telling what's going on. Frustrating, right? You look around for a Disney employee to tell you what's going on, but all you can find is some poor bastard in a Donald Duck costume who isn't allowed to talk. You get back in line.
You still have an emotional investment in your expectations - along with monetary - and now you have even more time invested... and you wait.
And wait.
And wait.
Nobody comes to explain what's going on so you can make an informed decision - should I pack up and go, should I stay in line, or should I hit up Space Mountain?
Problem with FFXI is that you don't have a Space Mountain to go to - you have to "leave the park" so to speak and go play Jenga with the neighbors or set mailboxes on fire in the artsy-fartsy part of town instead, which really isn't what you wanted to do in the first place, since you came to play FFXI. Kinda like how you really just wanted to see the Yeti scare the kid in front of you at the Matterhorn. Not only that, imagine the Matterhorn goes down day after day after day after day...
I don't know about the rest of you, but THAT's why I'm frustrated - I want to spend my precious time in a game I enjoy, and I can't do it when I want to, even though I pay the company to make it available to me when I want to play.
Would I pay $30, 40, $50 a month to have it available 24/7? You betcha. It's what I want to be doing with my time that matters, not the money.
