Ok, bored off my ass until I move back to London in a month, and decided to try and beat FFXII, the only one I've never completed, (X-2 doesn't count, didn't even dignify it with a purchase.)
Now I'm at King Raithwalls tomb or something. Just beat Garuda in under a minute through quickenings and gambits.
Now. Does the game get any better at any point?
The plot seems linear, I can't empathize with the characters, eye candy comes in three flavours (snob, furry and jailbait.) and I have Gambits set up so the game nearly plays itself, all I have to do is steer them to within 15ft of red dots on a map and combat does itself.
Now I'm unsure if I'm not enjoying this BECAUSE it's a Final Fantasy. Under any other game franchise title could I tolerate this? I dunno.
So. Does it get better ever? because playing it feels a bit like a chore.
