Holy shtako it's Morwen! :D Hey there lady, long time no see.

I do! But my problem is, I never played the fist gen run of the game, I couldn't get on to the Beta, I've seen VIDEOS and SCs, but the big selling point for me is playing it and seeing how close it gets to the FFXI roots in terms of Game Play, Mechanics, Flow, Controls, and things of that nature.

If it's like everyone is telling me, and it's FFXI on steroids, I'm sold, but still 70 bucks on a "chance" is a bit annoying.

Besides, I need to get my new PC built and my Eyefinity 6 card BEFORE I get the game lol.

70 Bucks? Woah, what are you looking at? Oh.. I see, going for the complete PC CE. Well I can't blame you I guess. It does look like a good CE, and if I didn't already have the 1.0 CE I'd be wanting to get it too.

At least when phase 4 rolls around you should be able to give the game a run through finally. A guess would say we're looking at Open Beta mid-to end of July.

I've come across one aspect of the game that I never registered until just recently and I don't like the implications. You start out on a class, and I believe at level 30 you can unlock the corresponding job and start using that job. However, it's possible you don't have to unlock that job at level 30 and just solo yourself up to level 50 and then unlock the job and poof, you've got a level 50 job. You'd still have to go and quest some of the abilities and of course the relic armor and weapons, but still.. you don't even have to put any levels into using that Job.

Likewise when you do say for example level up Gladiator, then start leveling Paladin once you've unlocked it at 30 and take Paladin to 50, your Gladiator is also 50 because it's tied to the Job. Well this means if any future Jobs come out that are also tied to Gladiator you would automatically have them at level 50 and don't even need to level them unless of course they raise the over all level cap.

I am not a fan of this. I want to level up any potential new classes if I feel they look like they would be fun to play, not just be given them on a silver platter.

Edit: Yet if I want to play a class like Gladiator, which I do, that means that potentially I won't be able to level up Dark Knight if they were to make that a secondary job to Gladiator. I am not a happy camper about this. I'd like to be able to level up Gladiator and Paladin separately.

I don't know where you got this from. Because there is no additional job attached to any class atm, there is no way of knowing if this is true, but I don't think it would be.

You have to level the job from 30 when you equip a job stone into your class slot. I was a Lancer and at level 30 I did the DRG quest, equipped the DRG stone, and was a level 30 DRG and then went on to 50. I think if I equipped a different job stone onto the lancer, it would be level 30 again and I'd have to take THAT job to level 50.
