Fidel Castro Resigns The Presidency? :O

Karma bit him in the ass when he wiped out going downstairs on world wide television.

isn't it weird that stuff like drugs in CA is easy to get and they're lax on it but it has a relatively high crime rate correct?

On-topic- Like Tymon said it's not over so soon, he's not going to croak and let his dream end there; hopefully karma will bite him in the ass when the time comes...

Well most of the crime that happens in the Bay Area is centralized in Oakland, Richmond Area. I spoke with a woman that lived in Richmond that said she couldn't even get pizza delivered to her house since her neighborhood was that ghetto. East Palo Alto back in 1998, I believe, was the Murder Capital of the World if you can believe that. The size of EPA (as Bay Area people call it) is so damn small that it's just mind-boggling

On topic: On the news last night there was a woman in Cuba that was excited since the exit of Castro would lead to democracy. The possibility of that happening seems far-fetched since the country has been communist for however many years. I will be following this in the paper to see what does indeed transpire.

Well at least he has a district in San Francisco named after him and it's filled with.... what?!?!

You have your Castros confused when it comes to the naming of that area.

It was a reference to a Simpson's episode from back in the day.

Pot is so lax here in San Francisco that even if you get pulled over from a cop and have an 1/8th and a pipe on you they just confiscate the pot and break the pipe. I haven't heard of anyone getting arrested for that amount of weed. I can't remember the exact amount but if you have a quarter ounce of weed in a single bag you get fined for like $125.00 I believe.

There was a law passed over in Denver not too long ago making pot a police officers lowest priority, yet last week I heard a report on the radio saying that marijuana related arrests are at an all time high in Denver. Fucking pigs in this town should really do something about that pms they all seem to be going through. Well, at least I don't live in Nevada.

Fidel is retiring to a condo in Florida and drink Corona w/Lime untill his day comes.

They're already here... he'll probably croak in a few days.

I know this sounds like a dumb question but, will the U.S. allow that after all we've been trying to get him to relinquish control and now he's residing in the states?

Something isn't adding up for me=/

Didn't Bush say something along the lines of "I hope this brings real democracy to Cuba, not elections rigged by the Castro brothers"? So an election where voting is rigged by the president and his brother isn't really democracy?

Pot calling the kettle black much?

Dude, dumping votes into alligator swamps is SO not rigging an election.

The only reason I saw for Castro even being alive this long is to piss off certain American presidents; Now that the current one is heading out of office Castro can fade away into peaceful slumber.

That would be greatly funny =P.

Fidel's still head of the Communist Party there, though.
Nothing'll really change.

True, but he's no longer running the country. Raul has been doing that since about fall '06 (or whenever it was that Fidel's health took a turn for the worse). It just recently became official.

Sorry guys it seems that it will be at least another half a decade of communism there.
