Final Fantasy 13 Hype Thread?

We already had this discussion.

That article is also incredibly stupid.

I want to know where the whole "areas will have to be closed off due to multiple discs" comes from, because a google search for "Analyzed PS3 Center" turns up jack shit. Besides, FFVII, a game a lot of people seem to love so much, had almost no areas closed off (outside of Mideel and one-time dungeons which have appeared in games as far back as the SNES area anyway). Hell, an area you even thought was sealed off becomes available again for some endgame quests (or earlier, if you were smart).

I don't care for the Japanese voices personally cause I like to understand the voices at work but who gives a shit? I'm getting tired of MIcrosoft crying about not being fair (and then being double standard asshats and not being fair to Sony with games) and getting their way lol... seriously, the crap with us not getting the FFXIII demo on ACC cause Microsoft's system couldn't run it and that "wouldn't be fair" bullshit... or that now something, a feature sony's version could have over MS, they don't get?

Multiplatform games came out for 360 first (i.e. that one SE game, what was it? Infinite Undiscovery?) Wasn't that originally gonna come out for PS3 as well but for 360 first.. or which game was it? I Forget, been awhile and stopped caring after awhile.. but why does Microsoft's system get to have a game come out first for it and later for PS3 but can't be the same way the other way? I just hate double standards >< I know, they're in life a lot, but that doesn't mean I have to accept or like them :\

I think my friend put this best in this way lol

"that's like saying 'well we can make this game in full 3d with crystal clear hi-def imagery, but since we're releasing it on the Atari, too, we want to be fair.'"

Oh well :\ another reason to hate Microsoft for me.

Edit: I meant The Last Remnant :P not Infinite Undiscovery.. so shitty.. cause the game seemed amusing to play, just had some issues with gameplay screwing up iirc from the reviews... ah well.

Ele why is this another reason to hate MS? This is SE saying they want to be fair to both versions. So you should be hating SE. But we know you guys come in with the intent to hate MS even though it says no where they pulled these strings.

The demo not being release was something comepletely different... There were legal issues involved there if you released the demo for one and not the other.

Timed exclusives is another issue that has nothing to do with this voice over stuff. You are just crying and trying to make it relevant..

Dual voices can be released at a later date via DLC anyway.
Honestly, if it's cause for someone to bitch then they're just grasping for reasons to begin with.

I don't like SE either cause of this (and a lot of their decisions over the years) but you really REALLY think if they were going to have the game on the PS3 be a little different (and, ideally better in the way it sounds like it's being changed) that Microsoft wouldn't bitch and moan?

There was nothing legally wrong with SE placing a demo on the blu ray for people outside of Japan as far as I know (I've read nothing about it) though I have read that they kept it because it would only be on Blu Ray players which I read about Microsoft basically coming to an agreement with SE to not have that happen.. that's bullshit...

And Timed Exclusive is relevant.. WE COULD have the game for the PS3 before 360 fine, and you damn well know it! :| the fact it'll be out in PS3 on Japan months and months earlier and since they said they were originally going to have them all released at the same time, i.e. working on the language support at the same time, we could have it on the PS3 earlier. I know you're a MS fan Osy but come on :\ you're telling me they don't get their way most of the time cause they kinda bully or pay their way through things? lol It's just bullshit to see the double standard where Sony or Nintendo (though that's far rarer cause Nintendo is in a race of its own and winning XD) get screwed in one way but it can't be the same when MS is in their position.

You are crying about a decision SE made. Then you make up the story about if it happened MS would bitch... Which is your other reason to hate MS. So really you are just making up shit to hate them?

I honestly couldnt care if MS was shut down tomorrow. I am just not a fan of "Stupid". Just so happens that most cases of stupid on this site that i read happen to be stuff like this "I hate MS because SE made a decision".

Have any of you guys considered the possibility that FFXIII is better than it would have been without a 360 version? While it has to deal with Xbox 360 limitations, it also potentially was given an increased budget thanks to higher projected sales since it's multiplatform.

The PS3 has a very healthy first and second party with lots of games designed exclusively with its technology in mind. Let this go.

Talking of considering possibilities reminds me of watching this guy play BF1942, and a friendly engineer put landmines on a bridge that would have let him hit the action instantly in his tank, and said how the engineer was retarded for restricting his teams mobility like that. He ended up having to take the long way around. But since he did, he ended up hitting their flank, eliminating both the other teams tanks, and their artillery, without any trouble.

Topically irrelevant, but the outcome from being restricted ended up gaining favor.

That's a lie, lol. But that's okay.

I'll say it flat out: I'm irritated at SE for allowing themselves to be bought.

Releasing on both platforms is irrelevant to me. I just bought a PS3 Slim (since I didn't consider it to be worth the price tag prior) and am not particularly invested in the "console war" (which Nintendo is currently raping faces in anyway).

I'm vexed with SE, however, over their decision to a.) release the game simultaneously on both platforms, and as a consequence delay its release, and b.) try to make both versions identical, which seems like a bit of a waste if the PS3 is capable of more, even over something as inherently trivial as an additional language track for those who want it.

Can't you guys just wait an extra few months? Like really? Is it going to hurt you to have to wait a few months more for something?

Imagine the shrieks and howls of rage if, for example, Gears of War 3 was abruptly announced to be a simultaneous multi-platform release and would subsequently be delayed by 6 months.

It's irritating. It's not going to hurt me. I don't mind that it's multi-platform, I'd just prefer it if they handled it the usual way when a game is just about finished on one before they start it on another. Release it, then port it over later.

Of course it's a bit bothersome I mean, everyone would like stuff early I don't blame them to be honest. But it's the people who really get upset over it that makes me just think, damm is there not something more important you could be doing right now?
:nopity:

I just hate the double standard bullshit lol. I don't care about the wait, I've got plenty of school work that's more important for me to focus on anyways :P But I hate double standards, always have, always will. It's a clear double standard that MS can get a product first and PS3 gets the port months or even a year later.. but it can't be that way for Sony's system? >.> double ass standard bullshit
