Eh? I haven't heard this rumor, and I'd have heard it by now if it had any weight. Besides, their is no English version of the demo, nor is their one planned. So no reason to be fast in gettin' the demo, the rules you stated do not apply to it. If the PS3 was region protected they could, maybe, do somethin' about it, but they are not. The only reason you'd need to hurry and get this item is if the set is limited.

Me too, I'm still holdin' a little hope that it's gonna be more like Dissidia, hence the "Versus", than an action game or RPG. Then again', if it is an action game or RPG I'm lookin' forward to the FF crew gettin' back to the corporate war side of things, which this game also looks like it could do.
 
That Versus video showed almost nothing, but it was still enough to make me want the game more...

Can anyone translate what was being said in that vid? :p

Noctis and Stella in the trailer were basically talking about Light and how it causes their nightmares (Rough translation). Gives a good insight into the characters. Also, I finally realized something, vsXIII has a Romeo and Juliet feel to it.

Anyone else noticed this?
 
The Microsoft hate in this thread actually making me cringe a little bit. Ok we get it, you hate everything Microsoft, move on much?
 
I had a dream I owned the game and then I woke up. Not looking for sympathy or pity, just putting it out there because everyone will understand how I feel.

Got the demo. HOLY SHIT IT'S AWESOME! Streaming videos of it, even in HD, on the internet, does not cut it. You have to experience it first hand to see how amazing it is O_O

It's just THAT Good.

Also, apparently, according to Wada, they take too long to make games ;P

Obviously we would like to release [in Europe] as soon as possible. Traditionally the Final Fantasy numbered series, it takes about half a year between the release in Japan and the release in North America, and another half a year before it's released in Europe. But we would like to minimise this, this time.
For example we have already started recording English voices, and also the text localisation has been in progress, too. Normally we complete the Japanese version first, then move on to the US and EU versions, but this time there are some tasks that are happening simultaneously. So this time we're hoping to release sooner than a year later than the Japanese release.​

So, even though they had already pretty much started a good bunch of translations, they are still gonna make the US wait about half a year and the EU another half year after the US....

Do I really need to repeat myself?

*sigh* I was basically saying the Xbox version IS delaying the release over here. If they had already started translations and are still saying that FFXIII will be released in the EU one year later as usual, then it shows that the Xbox version is delaying it's release in the US and EU.

How did you manage to pull that out of the statement?
 
They're not saying that it'll be released in the EU one year from release. It said they're trying to make the gap between the JP release and the EU release (and consequentially, the US release) shorter than it has been.
Where you dug up this Xbax Treesiddy is delaying it crap again is beyond me.

Because man. Recording hours of script, editing entity names to english characters, relipsyncing models, making sure everything works right and there are no errors, burning millions of new copies of games, this is all instantaneous. IT'S THAT FUKKEN XBAWKS DELAYING MY PRECIOUS SHITGAME.

What they said was "Usually it is delayed 6 months for US release, and another 6 months for EU release after that. This time, by starting translations early, we hope to reduce that time to within a year".

Which is why he thought Xbox is delaying it. Earlier it it has been released within a year after Japanese release. This time they start translations early, and release it within a year after Japanese release.

Quite honestly, it gives us no information at all. Even with translations early they hope to release it within a year, same time frame it used to be before early translations.
