Final Fantasy 13 Hype Thread?

Also, if this stuff is sold as DLC when will it become available, and what impact will it have on the gameplay and storyline?
IE, will you have to buy the DLC to play the extra episode that expands on X or Y character? And if so, isn't that kinda shitty to have to pay more money to get the full story of the game? Or will it unlock endgame fights for the type of broken equipment you'd see from old FF games?
Not to mention all that "if you want to get the whole story read the books and listen to the sound novel" bullshit uttered a few months ago. They're milking the hell out of this.

Yay got my LE OST today, definitely one of my favorite FF soundtracks, and one of my favorite game soundtracks in general.

Also, DLC in March for the Japanese version is apparently confirmed during an interview in Dutch Playstation Magazine with Kitase, and that DLC is rumoured to be

- New Game Plus: Clear Data will let you keep Items, Gil, Abilities...etc and start at the beginning
- More missions: #65 to #87
- Weather System
- and two unknown things yet to be known

I'd love a new game + mode, that would definitely add to the replay-ability for me, even without extra endings like CT, I'd still play through a multitude of times.
Also, more missions (bosses), would add a lot to the end-game, and a weather system sounds interesting.
As for the 2 unknowns, possibly things they cut from the game, either way if this doesn't turn out to be the DLC, it's confirmed regardless.
And I'm stoked even though the game isn't out here yet.

Wonder what the deal with the weather system is. The Japanese version of the game already has a weather changing system, though it is a manual system.

That's only in one or two areas of the game, if this is true it'll be most/all areas where you can hit the orb to change the weather in an area.
Probably works side by side with the new missions, different mission marks only come out in certain weather, etc.
Kinda like how mobs change with the weather change system in The Sunleth Waterscape, and in XI/XII.

Replay value? I'm sorry, after I finish ANY Final Fantasy, there is not a chance in hell that I would want to replay it, regardless of what number. They're are far to enduring with a lot of depth. I couldn't go through the story a second time.

It's like going to see Avatar for a second time. I couldn't do it, no matter how beautiful it is.

Hell, even with no new game + I still play through FFI-XII regularly, at least once a year.
I just love replaying RPGs (when my backlog isn't massive or when there's not a lot of new games coming out)

I missed a lot of the great RPG's on Ps2 due to overplaying FFXI. I won't let that happen again with FFXIV.

I hope we all decide which server to jump to together when that game comes.

The things on the sides are NSFW lol.

Sankaku's just not safe for humans.

Well, I'm guessing (as mentioned earlier), that the dlc is deleted content from the game that would have taken too much space on the DVD. Hell, they're pushing what's possible to have on the DVD's already, hence why Xbox's is 4 DVD's. They had to remove Japanese language pack for the English version for this reason, and I'm guessing the same goes for the other deleted content.

Although New Game Plus would probably have been possible to include either way...

I guess it's better than releasing all the updates on an International disc that doesn't leave their little island.

360 FFXIII bundle.
Haha.

Bundle being "you get a bundle of discs" haha

You know, it'd be kind of an alright buy, to the hardcore fans at least, if the 360 wasn't just a normal lookin' 360. By this time MOST of the people who'd want one of the two HD systems would have them and just a normal 360 with two controllers, a HD, and the game ain't gonna provoke the Sony base enough to buy over. Seriously, a waste of effort. Unless of course I'm missing something.

Lmfao off Strid. I tried to show my friend a cool part of the game and we had to sit through that bs. I just turned the game off lol.

So the question becomes what would you prefer?: A five-ten minute install or having to get off your ass to swap three discs?

Ah now I get it, and I never care about installs, had to deal with em all my gaming life what with PC gaming so big freaking whoop :P
