Final Fantasy 13 Hype Thread?

I put in my registration code for the 14 beta and it said the code was already in use. Awesome.

I got that message too, but that code is only needed if you intend to apply for the PS3 beta. I removed the code, changed to PC and it took it. Wonder if I actually get another attempt to beta XIV.
 
Got my game about an hour and a half ago, love it thus far.
Just switched to Vanille and Hope for the first time.

Member site is wonky for me so haven't been able to register game and get my code to apply for PS3 FFXIV beta yet.

Good deal, I wasn't planning on playing the PC beta on my PC anyway.

As for the finger thing, it's hardly a big deal, but if their only excuse for not making the fingers look a little better than square pegs is because "it's hard", then that's not excuse at all.
I'm quite a ways into Lake Braha or whatever it's called. When do I get to unlock the crafting system?
 
How do you register the code? I log into my SE account and see nothing but a couple options on the left hand side nothing to do with FXIII or Star Ocean for that matter which I still need to reg..
 
The place to register the game is at http://member.square-enix.com/na and what you are looking for is the upper RIGHT where it says register game and so-forth.

Right now, I'm taking a small break. On Chapter 4 and Odin is kicking my ass which is the games way of telling me to GTFO for a bit.
 
Want this game but Im gonna wait for a price drop. Slickdeals.net usually gets deals on new games pretty quickly. Mass Effect 2 and CoD Modern Warefare 2 dropped to $45 shortly after their release so I'm hoping the same happens with FFXIII.

Preemptive Strike + Quake has got to be the most amazing thing I've done so far.
 
I have to say this might be the best battle system in a FF. Maybe best battle system ever, period. I love paradigms.

Been playing for a few hours now and I cant stop picturing Richard Pryor every time I see Sazh do something daft....

Hopefully he improves as the story unfolds they generally have interesting characters as the main party members. Oh and best looking game I have ever seen I find my only failing in the fights is I'm too busy admiring how nice it all looks. ^^
 
Sazh gets better as it goes on, most characters do actually. It's an interesting story with pretty visuals, but the battle system with the paradigm shift in the heat of a fight is the meat and bones. The fact that death will occur with a wrong move is a pretty nice touch too, I like being on my toes in battle.
 
AWww, why can't it be a choice of PS3 or PC beta? :( I want a PC beta not PS3
 
I'm loving the game so far. This is one of the few games where the comic relief is actually a likeable character, normally they get on my nerves. Sazh seems so natural. I laughed when Vanille bent to climb over, and Sazh looked up her skirt and want "Damn" with the little chic flying around him looking all mad and accusing.
 
I played it pretty much all of yesterday when I got home. Love every moment of it and about to play it again now until I go out anyway.
 
Pretty far into the wasteland they crashed into but man.. so far I have to say I love the Lake Bilge area visuals and music the most.

They're both amazing.
 
I thoroughly enjoyed when Sazh said "I'm getting to old for this" I finished Chapter 2 last night and will be going on further tonight.
 
OMG the game is awesome. Almost to linear for my tastes but the cinematics and battle system make up for that, mostly. Played through unlocking the Shiva sisters last night, can't wait to get off work today and start playing again =3
*Goes back to his guide to keep the anticipation up*
 
If this battle system continues to grow in complexity throughout the game it could very well be one of the best RPG features of all time.

Should've applied to that Eorzeapedia bonus chance then.
I got to what I assume is almost the end of the forest area. Finished both Lightning and Hope's Crystarium, so now every encounter is just grinding to wait for a Crystarium level up.
I can't wait for when the story shifts back to Snow so I can see how many points he's been sitting on.
