If we can set it up so Balthier kills Cloud over the course of a few combat rounds, I'm for it.
Balthier would get thoroughly schooled...
If this is what you're claiming... well, that makes my year, an amazing storyline, an entertaining combat system that does consider careful thought, planning and occasionally some trial and error. the game had some serious hard points, IN THE PLOT. That's right, the hardest fights in the game like Riovanes/Velius were part of the story or just random encounters in the random places. even with some decked out files i avoided places like finath river (OMGWTFCHOCOBOPWNEDMEARGHNONOTTHERE) or barius valley (....it just confused orlandu... now what? this can only end badly.... NO! NO! WHY DID THEY GIVE YOU A MOVE THAT BREAKS WEAPONS? NOOOOOOOOO!!! ;

... they made the monsters level up with you and staticed the boss levels... this didn't work out in some games, this one it worked just fine.... because if you aren't like level 50 velius rapes you...
TA blew. blew hard. broke my heart. they had the potential to make a sequel or improvement to FFT and they failed, they made a crappy story and a crappy system. i've played ET for nintendo, a game where touching little kids gains health, a game that was so bad they buried all the copies they could find in the desert. This game should have been buried below ET and never spoken of again.
To marajade. i know you think teleport rawks but move +4 from bard is more reliable for the same ranges, true you can't magically teleport across the map at a 1/100 chance but 99/100 times you'll get there before the guy teleporting does with honest move + and good shoes.
game tips for people who are gonna play this.
#1 most important tip ever. *
MAKE A SEPERATE SAVE FOR IN RIOVANES CASTLE.* DO
NOT SAVE OVER YOUR ONLY FILE IN THERE, you could well be stuck, when you're stuck,
you're boned. many people quit the game at this stage.
Get gained jp up asap.
Never master ramza's guts in the first chapter. ever. you miss some awesome moves.
Algus is a bastard, kill him while you can, makes the game more fun.
Create a team that can function missing one member for plot fights with "allies"
Always strip guest allies of all weapons and armors whenever possible. if you can, change them to level 1 priest with no spells or something. as long as they're guests, they leave later, in some cases, they leave then try and kill you. a level 1 priest isn't killing anyone.
Killing guest members for exp is rawkzorz, just make sure you checked your objectives at the start...
Never use a Pbag, a Cbag or any type of bag. ever. best fit may put it on, but it lies. hateful hateful lies.
Never ever use a flail. same as the bags.
Gil is easy to aquire, spend it.
Steal soon, steal often. they almost always have better gear than you.
Accept propositions in bars, sounds creepy no? they're easy jp. there's 2 ways to do this effectively. let your chocobos breed up a crack high level team and win with them. or just save and move to 2 cities neighbouring eachother (IE igros and zeakden, lesalia and that coal town, orbonne and dorter), save after getting there, walk back and forth fight free for the days, save, try and go back.
There is no way to skip a battle, or avoid them, to fast forward through them just send in orlandu, everyone else becomes obsolete.
enjoy the ridiculous story line. it pwns.
