I had 2 past time friendships with Gil seller friends i have stumbles upon. Some of them got banned by SE and the one i liked the most left FFXI to um, get a better job, and also she couldn't bare the racisim. Not that i desire to make friends with people who attract this kind of contraversy, but when it happens i don't turn away from them.
I figured there would be those who would label me for being seen with gil seller so i bravely exsposed my truths. And up till now i never really recieved much flack from anyone about it. If i went hunting with them, i would hunt with them up until a regular group of players would counter.
Camping with gil sellers has been as rewarding as camping with ordianry players. I do not promote gil selling, but i shit you not when i say i have camped with them and they literally the have given me larger shares of the drop only because i wanted the item. When Damascene cloth was 1 million, all Bablylove asked for was a 300k share. Ashalala once gave me a phantom tathlum as a gift while we were hunting, i replaced my bow and arrow and for accident i tossed it, and she gave me another phantom tathlum right away. At the time that was 500k total. I felt loved.
...HOW TO DESTROY RMT....
Not that a care much about it. But there are 2 ways to do so, and SE cannot prevent it, only we can.
1. Simply don't buy gil.... But easier said than done cause people do and always will buy gil.
2. Playing along side and not against gil sellers will keep the higher share of the drop in game. You have a party of 10 and 2 of them are gil sellers 80% of that currency will stay in game. Where as you have a party of 10 sellers, 100% of the drop is gone to IGE or something.
If the sellers were scattered amoungst the various hunting parties RMT itself would have far less gill to output to their consumers which would eventaully dither into a not so worthwhile business trade. So the lesson here is, bashing sellers only forces them to huddle together with their own kind and the companies that buy the gil from them end up with even more gil to sell for more than what they pay their to their consumers.
The ones who own companies such as IGE run a very successful company, they do make billions of dollars selling on various online games, and the fact that the people who farm from them is disliked .... would not surprise me if IGE themselves created this kind of contraversy. It's cause in effect and it's a brilliant scheme, probably to keep people away from disturbing their workers (as i understand it's a freelance based business)
This shit is big, and anyone reading this knows and are friends with someone who sold gil or their account, or bought gil. Not to assume a rich character bought gil to get to where they are at. But we see them everytime we play and don't even know it. It can easily be your good friend.
With good reason a vast majority of people flocking together sharing distaste for ingame sellers, truly support it more than they realize. I have read how it works, i have inquired and questioned about how they operate, and i have also seen how ingame sellers really do want to make friends and go on adventures with ordinary players and they cannot make friends from what they do and how they are disliked. This results in corperations (well it's big enough to be called so) like IGE having a larger income.
Revolution is needed to better our gaming economics. Learn to love and hate the gil sellers the same as you do your friends and enemies and RMT will die. To bash someone playing with a gil seller is part of the RMT system.
