Final Fantasy XIV

Wow this looks pretty badfuckinass! Cant wait to get some more details on the gameplay and available jobs!

Nah, those look like mithra ears to me..........

actually, I think it might be a new race. If you look at it, the pick on the official website has ears AND horns, so its not mithra ears. Also, this;

Could be that Gria is a new female-only race and they add Mithran males? xD
 
I am so excited! Maybe I need to start building a computer that will run this game lol

I wouldn't like any items that give us an advantage over players who didn't play XI. Rather, they should recognize XI players with items of some kind, but they should be "trophies" and nothing more. It was suggested on BG, for relic holders, to perhaps have an armor stand or plaque with their weapon and a quote with reference to the time frame in XI.

Well, I didn't mean an item that gives any sort of advantage. But FFXI has so many cosmetic armors (holiday sets or special events) that I'm sure they could whip one up for players transferring over. Just as a random example, a body armor that has a bit XI on the back, with 1 DEF and no stat boosts. Something like that.

I can't imagine Grias coming over from Ivalice. It just wouldn't make any sense for a solitary race to leave that universe to combine with the races of Vana'diel. I hate most of the Ivalice races so I don't really want to see them spilling over into this.
 
doesn't have to be Gria. Grias have wings, I'm assuming a race in this game won't have wings, but then again, they could be only for show and have no practical use (like chocobos or penguins). Either way, they could name it whatever they want, wouldn't neccesarily have to be named Gria, just like we don't know if Galka will even be called Galka in this game as they seem to lack tails.

I'm already envisioning the setup: A new 50 inch LED T.V from Sony. New surround sound in my basement. Will probably get a PS3 since my laptop is getting old. I'm guessing I'm lookinag at a $2000 to $2500 dollar investment.

When is it coming out 2010? That gives me roughly 1 year to somehow get approval from the wife. This is going to be one of the most important quests I've ever undertaken. I will have to start working on this immediately. Guess I will have to take up laundry and dishes. lol
 
im excited for a ffxi-esque game that was not built for the ps2 and will NOT have any "limitations".

they better not wait a whole god damned year between when its out in japan and us/worldwide that would be assbackwards, although SE is capable of such things.

LOL maybe get her something shiny while ur at it? Should distract her enough while you get the new tv, entertainment system, and console into the house and installed =P

They said it will have a worldwide release in 2010. People at BG are saying Spring 2010 release, but that seems too good to be true. Besides, FFXIII supposedly have a Spring 2010 release, and it would be rather stupid of them to release 2 huge games in the same period.

If true though... spring 2010 will be the best months ever.
 
So who wants to start speculation on plot, jobs, etc.?
