So, I left a while back, not really looking back but I've been wondering...

How's the general state of the game doing now? Economy, players, partying, wait times, competition, you know.

When I left the economy was fucking garbage. Hardly anyone seemed like they gave a shit about their gear in EXP parties and on BLM I was soloing or waiting 5+hrs for a shitty party the second I hit 60, even with top of the line gear.

Gotten any better?
 
Pending on how long ago you quit, the party scene is probably lower than what you even remembered. At this point, many people have one 75 job, and most have multiples. Partying to the 40's isn't too bad, but the 50-73 range is brutal if you're not a high-demand job, or you don't have a static. Also, alot of post 50 camps are against mobs that reflect magic (Colibri, in their various forms), rendering BLM fairly useless.

Long and short; SE has focused alot of their newer content on endgame or high-level situations. Still, pending your play-style and the reasons you log on is what keeps people attracted, so my whole rant will probably have no effect on whether you reactivate or not.
 
Dunno when you left, but the economy has gotten a lot better purchasing-wise. Emperor's Hairpin, for instance, isn't 5.5 million anymore.

Just... Wow. What a false representation of FFXI. There's what? Over 200 quests? I don't know how many missions there are, I wanna say at least 100, with all of the expansions installed. No matter, there will always be a place for people like him. It's called WoW. :3 Oh, or Maple Story!

Also love how long it takes him to break the disk. Especially when it pops out of his hands. Good times.
 
FFXI...WoW....MMOs....they all take forever nomatter what it is, if u are worrying about having to solo, might as well not play ffxi and go right for WoW. It can be done in ffxi but most people dont have the patience. If you want an easy ride, solo in WoW, they made the game so u can do it easily lol....

P.S. make sure u come to lightning's blade server tho if u do that, ill help u lvl :nyam:

P.P.S. really tho, u can decide for yourself if u like the game enough to come back and play again, it shouldnt be based on prices and leveling parties, cause there is much more to the game then that
