Finding a Good linkshell or is there one out there?

End game isn't for everyone, and honestly you don't need End game just so you can get the best gear and such. It should be something different and new to have fun with. You can't really have fun if people go by your rep and how lousy of a player they may think you are in their opinion.

I've pty'd with you once before and you seemed to play quite well in my opinion. I remember we had another whm in that pty too, forgot if it was before or after, but they weren't as good as your whm. Some people have days they aren't so great, and then it makes them look bad and people then start to tell everyone in their LS or their friends,

"OMGZ, this <job> in our pty sucked."

Actually I just remember what was wrong with the one whm we had in that pty. They didn't have erase still and it was a pty of 67ish. As long as you have all the important spells you need and are up to par with the pty to keep it flowing.

Skills up to par help out as well, but some people would expect you to be uber at your job, otherwise they'll claim that you suck.

My suggestion to you, is not to get involved with end game if this is the state of things to your name. Perhaps go lvl a new job, go farming and questing, and get into a new LS with new players, and grow with them and befriend them. Prove yourself that way and help those people out too. Then you'll learn together and later can get into End game with those people if they stay as close friends to you.
 
BBT if you really want a second chance on this server, seriously consider making a new character, and never reveal that you are BBT to anyone. Otherwise, your poor reputation will follow you as it has many others. Go ahead and ask Colbwa how easy it is to find an endgame ls after you've pulled 300000 stupid things. And don't give me this lie that it was your brother playing or whatever, we've all heard that tune when people get bad reps. It's just not a viable excuse. Especially when I know that a good deal of the reason you have a bad rep is DIRECTLY from you. I won't say anything specific so openly, but a certain someone I am, and you were, close to confirmed that you'd admitted to her about lying about soooooo much on these forums. It is through that that you have earned a bad mark in my book, not because of your playing ability. Character supercedes ability in my book. I don't care if you're the god of WHM, the history you have given your name will not be lived down.

Don't get me wrong, please don't think of this as a direct flame on your character, but I'm giving my advice. If you truely and honestly care about playing this game anymore, consider a new identity and use it to gain the respect you think you deserve. If I were you I'd consider a new server even, just to avoid the leak of information. Good luck in getting respect otherwise.

Starting over is not in my book of ideas Really why should i start over? A: waste more money and time or B:make you all happy cause there is no more bumblebetuna.......
the matter of the fact is i can forgive and forget unlike other worthless ppl on this game....if you can't give someone a chance to prove you wrong then your just a poor sport and you should not even be playing the game...Right? Right!!!

i Can't see me throwing away everything i worked for just to make other ppl happy....would you? no you would not you would end up Quiting the game and telling your storys on here about how good you where and how you miss all your friends.......

So my Advice to you is learn how to forgive ppl and move on if you go by other ppl opinion then your not ever a player.....that the problem with most the ppl on this game you don't find out foryour self you go off here say and that a bunch of shit if you ask me...........

to talk about a player you don't even know is eazy to get to know a player is hard and you fail at getting to know me and take the eazy way out and thats sad on your part cause your scared to find out that i'm a good player in the end. So before you go off giving me advice with ou knowing me as a player then from here say don't comment about me or tell me what todo......

The only time people say this is when they have royally screwed themselves beyond redemption and suddenly find that they actually need other people. The fact is, if you've blackballed yourself to the entire community then you've either messed up a bunch of times, thereby giving you more than a second chance, or you fucked up in some collosal way that no one would trust you again. No one has a perfect record in this game, so obviously everyone is given multiple chances, so there's really no point in crying foul when you've used all your chances up. Most things can be forgiven, but there are some things that should never be forgotten. If you've done something like that, you only have yourself to blame.

From what I can gather from this part(lolrunonsentanceswithalmostnopunctuation), you're also pulling the "you don't know me, so everything you've heard is a lie" card, which practically means "I'm guilty but you weren't there so give me the benefit of the doubt." If there's enough talk about you, if there's enough stories, some of it has to be true, there is no server-wide conspiracy to ruin your reputation. I don't know you, other than from these forums and a general reputation for stupidity; but then I don't really care because I', not a leader of a linkshell. They're the people you'd have to convince that your reputation is all a lie, and telling everyone to forgive and forget or you'll quit is not the way to endear yourself to the people you're trying to join.

And while I don't "know" you, I'm pointing out the pointlessness of this thread. This is a social game, how you interact with people matters. Unfortunately, there are people who don't realize that until it's far too late and most of them usually blame everyone else for not "giving them another chance" when there's no reason to do so. You are the one who creates your reputation, no one else. You made your bed, now sleep in it.
 
Ok, maybe i missed something, but what is BBT's rep anyway? I keep hearing references to Colbwa, but his problem was he had a short fuse, was very vindictive, but was very secretive about it( generally a nice kid til you told him no). To me, I havent heard anything nearly as bad about BBT.

lol dude, y'know me. I don't care if you're 1 or 75, if you're a nice guy and feel like laughing, we're a good LS to be in. We like jokin' around, it's what we do. Most of us' high levels are coming up on 50, about 44'ish. So, to be honest, we don't have much to party with yah. We have a few 66-74, but y'know. They're in the shell for joking around, but we're all pretty close friends. Hell, half the time we'll text message eachother (though I broke my Razor >_< might go for the blackberry 8700c as a replacement...). I don't care what everyone else is bitching about; I've talked to yah and that's good enough for me. As far as I'm concerned, now it's childish grudges. What did or did not happen in the past will always be in the past, and if it doesn't happen again then how is it a problem anymore? Try to think rationally, and for gods sake think like you're just a little over 16 years old. It's a game, it's not high school.

Summary that's on topic: You're welcome in our shell, regardless of job, level, rank, dynamis, gods, etc. We don't care, we just want to have fun. After all, though most people crying here may have forgot, this is a game. Be polite, share, and enjoy the time you spend here.
 
RAISE THE FLAME FLAG on this one i guess... I know BBT and I never had a problem with him. hes a cool guy. I have been gone from the game for a while, but i doubt anything has really changed with his character since i left (besides his level lol). So being a friend of his, I'd say that im sure if something happened it is more than redeemable, so give the guy a chance. trust me, he will be there for you when you need him.

BBT, I'll be on tonight. I'm working with Wongfeihong, a guy in my LS, to get my last two Tele's. ((That's right, I need two more Tele's and I'm 43 WHM {insert community flame here})). If you want, we can meet up in Jeuno before hand and I'll give you a pearl. Technically speaking, I'm "leader" but all that is to me is someone who needs to glorify themself because they're not as well liked IRL. It's a community, social, fun shell. We're just who we are. I just try to make sure there's no arguing, which I doubt will ensue from you joining. That's why we don't hand out too many pearls :D
 
BBT: In all honesty be yourself-- but be yourself within reason. There is not one single person that is not subject to change. Give reasons for people to forgive you for what you have done wrong and you will be forgiven. Doing so with action speaks volumes. People's reputations in this game change over night-- for instance.. I didn't even know there was this blackball list or that you were on it. I had better go read it so I can be up to date on who I don't like and do like or if I am on said list. The question what is a good or a bad shell is really up to the individual. Don't become discouraged if you don't get in to this "end-game society" as some of it is pretty mundane.

And the arguement of "That person sucks" I agree with. Noone's perfect. Sometimes you get into a party and you really rock and sometimes you don't.
 
BBT how in the hell are you not 75 yet? You've been playing (or at least posting) for what seems like forever AND you're a whm...

1. Racist
2. Ignorant
3. Obnoxious
4. All of the above.

Just because that slate has been whiped clean, doesn't mean people have forgotten. I do not know your skill in game, but your character shown in the past on here has given me all I need to know about you. Sure people change, but why change when you can lie your way to the top?

Take the game-skill out of this, since you don't know and nor do I. Who cares? If he's having fun, you're having fun, and whomever else is having fun... why does it matter?

Character is based upon judgement. They may have been jokes, etc. However, the slate is wiped clean. Why? Because what reason does he have to lie? His brother was playing under his name... that's nice whether it's true or not. Why? Because how is it in his best interest to lie about that and then REPEAT anything? It's not, so regardless of truth (in which from when we've talked I believe him) it probably won't be an issue. Regardless, you should throw out your gavel and stop crying "Guilty" as you point at him. There's no judge, there's no jury, and there's no point of that shit being here. He's looking for a social linkshell. That's a LS where you have fun just talking to eachother, while playing the game. From what I've seen, there's a number of people whom I would relate to as "The Roman Senate." Upon Caesar turning his back, they're the type to cowardly unsheath their knives to stab him in the back. So because we're over the internet, it's ok to create a bad reputation for someone else? To drive them into the ground? To throw digital-stones at one another? Grow up and go outside. Obviously you need to mature and see what the real world entolls. Obviously, as of now, you won't succeed in it. So just outside and get a taste of it, because a persons ability to be understanding, cooperative, forgiving, mentally strong, and deteremined is what will allow you to succeed in this world. Let him play the game, let him do what he wants, and drop it. If it's not directly affecting you, him being in a linkshell that you're not in, then why do you care? (You is being stated as a "those who are crying" target. Not direct). The fact this is still going on without people saying "Yeah, come join my shell. I'd love to hang out with yah here and there" is ridiculous.
