Don't like fishbotters? If it interests you, Decidence and Svina are both hardcore fish-botters that also post on this board.

If you feel the need to jack off your inner vigilante, go ahead and report them the next time you see 'em fishing somewhere. If they get caught and a GM jails them, go to bed with whatever kind of self-satisfaction it gives you. If they're not botting and report you for harassment - have a fun few days in gaol yourself.

It's always the same thing: "Fishbots ruin the economy! Fishbots are unfair! Fishbots blah blah blah blah fucking blah." The best part about fishbotters, honestly, is that they don't bother me when I'm fishing.

Vigilantes, on the other hand, assume that standing in the same spot for more than 2 minutes and not answering their "HAY GUY R U AFK DOOD?!?!????//11onetildeslash!?~~!1" tells means yes, I must be botting. But hey, good luck with your little crusade. While you report, I'll keep pulling gil out of the water.
 
Svina and Decidence are both dick-eating fish botters. This is true.
 
Want Code? This Bot fishes "RUSTY CAPS" and throws away anything else. Boy... all those hours in Rabao. Very popular with fish botters.

But since coming back to this game a couple weeks ago I am pretty sure they nerfed Rusty fishing did they not?

I think if you have something to say you should come out and say it with your real name.
 
Wierd. I stopped fishing long before the nerf from complete exhaustion of hitting buttons on my gamepad over and over again, and went back to ifrit's cauldron for money.

But I have a good idea who's got the green eye because I spend more time on my character than they ever did *shrug*... hiding behind an anon 1-minute forum name to protect your reputation is pretty low. I know who you are though ;)

Sorry if I'm invading your pedestal.

Calling out fishbotters on a forum is as bad a tattletales in the kindergarten playground, It's annoying and childish. /nod
 
I don't care about fishing bots. Yeah, they are making some money while they're not really playing, but I mean, it's not hurting the economy as bad as gil hunters and voke bots are. Voke bots really piss me off since it's not fair that they make it waaaaaaaaaaaay harder to fight the NM you're trying to get.
 
Voke bots are getting even more aggressive now... there has been some loggers released to NA's now (I say NA's because I don't know if JP's already have them or have been using them for a long time already) that allows everything thats put on screen to be logged. No need for complicated color coding or finding pixels anymore, you just input the name of the mob you want to provoke and fight (cuz bots these days don't just voke the mob, they will fight, kill and heal afterwards), and the bot voke that name when it spawns.

If your gonna worry about Fish Botters making a little gil I think you should start considering the Voke Bot thats killing Argus daily and every other NM that is soloable and worth a pretty penny.

But whatever, I don't worry myself with these things anymore. Just play... have fun... who cares what everyone else is doing, this isn't grade 2, no point making enemies in a game like this.
 
I am going to say this one last time, and everyone in this thread needs to pay attention: Add your in-game main character name to your signature, whether as image, or text, doesn't matter, as long as it is there.

The rationale is that not everyone's board name corresponds to the game character name, and we sure need to know whom we are dealing with in these posts. Anon posting is not allowed on QCDN.
 
If you want to whine about anything, whine about the people who dominate an HNM spawn and MPK anyone who manages to steal it. I don't remember the last time I fished up a 5mil item, but any NA MNK on quez can kiss getting a black belt goodbye because of these people.
 
Yeah, lately, i'm more mad at the people who seem to use voke bots and gil hunters. I don't think fishing is as bad for the economy as I did before. They leave you alone, and sure, they're making money, but I reason it this way now.

Fishbot -> Collects fish -> Sell NPC -> Gets Gil -> Does whatever

So that method doesn't affect the normal player. If they sell at the AH, then I guess that's where soem people get mad.

I still think Square should just give everyone a fish bot. It would solve a lot of their problems with people reporting fish botters and give everyone a simple way to make money than competign with people who cheat and do nm as a living and just getting frustrated...hehe

I had nothing to do with this thread whatsoever, but my bullshit detector just went off so I thought I would lend some common sense:

Vokebots: Disregard rules set by SE who own this game; cheating.
Fishbots: Disregard rules set by SE who own this game; cheating.

What is the difference? When it comes down to brass tacks, nothing. The only differences that exist are the ones made by people trying to rationalize either that what they are doing is right or more right than someone doing something else to justify their wrongdoing (ie, Hitler killed millions of Jewish people therefore my killing of 100 people isn't really a bad crime--to put the "extreme" example into perspective) or prioritizing what they would rather have taken care of.

Both are wrong, both are dishonorable (bot types). While morals might not mean as much in an MMO to some people, they do say a lot. Anon posting isn't exactly the best way to push an idea out to people, agreeably, however having to cheat to keep up with the Jones' in a make believe world is more pathetic in my book.
 
I have a question.

Are people using a rapid fire controller on the same level as the voke bot? Frankly theres no way in hell any PC gamer can match the speed of the PS2 turbo, so i just wonder if thats any more fair than the voke bot itself.

Personally i dont use either, and developing carpal tunnel because of it --;
 
you have no idea how fast i hold down ctrl and hit that 0 button on my keyboard, haha, also i think voke takes time to reach its target, like if your mob was really in your "personal bubble" then yes you'll voke it off really quick, but if its quite a ways it will take some time to reach it, hence why redmages love camping nm with fast cast and dia, almost fast as voke, and long range. goddamn those mining points, damn you monster singa!
