SE will not take any action if a player is running a third party program is running attended. If I decided to run a fish bot (example situation) and left, if a GM /tell'ed me and I didn't respond in a proper amount of time, I could a ban. However, if I went to get something to eat or sit by my computer and watch TV while running a fishbot, square will take no action even if they know I'm running a third party program. However, if I would take advantage of a bug where I could buy an item from a vendor and sell it back for a profit to the same vendor, then I'd be promptly dealt with.....

Well the complexity of clicking profile, and scrolling halfway, and then writing one name is a little hard.

However, writing a response to WHY it's so hard probably takes more effort than the actual instructions above. So it'll be interesting to see the next post.

Someone help me out here. I saw posted the justification for fish-botting as long as your not AFK. The user posted official looking text. Where did this text come from? I went looking for the user agreement and there isn't much listed. Here is the ENTIRETY of the Prohibited activites in the User agreement:

3.1 Prohibited Activities.
You may not use the Game or PlayOnline for any activities that are illegal, fraudulent, or a violation of the rights of any third party. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the following acts and activities are strictly prohibited and shall, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies that SEI may have, be cause for immediate termination of your PlayOnline account and your right to play the Game (or any other services) in connection therewith:

As for the comment about turbo controllers on a PS2, I use a PS2 and I have a turbo controller. Granted I really dont know how to program the controller, but I can tell you that my KB is faster and is what I use to spam my stun macro. As far as it being an "unfair" advantage for PS2, I've got 2 things:

A) You can hook up a PS2 controller to your PC to try for yourself (again I dont think it's faster though)

B) I could not fishbot, vokebot or (insert activity her) bot on my PS2, even if it were legal.

You can use a PS2 controller that has a Turbo Macro Button, and mix that with the In-game Macro system to create very simple “Kinda Bots”. There is also rumor of a Mod that connects your PS2 Controller Port to your parallel or serial port and create very long complex macros using a custom software (but still not intelligent), but I have yet to find anyone actually post a HOWTO or the software to do it. I think that stems more from modding your PS2 controller to your PC, and people assuming it can be done in reverse, but I could be wrong. I am too lazy to cut up a working controller, just to find out.

My post breaks what rule? I can't find the HowTo anymore and I can't remember for sure which controller it was, Nintendo, PS or PS2. But for some reason it is sticking in my head they had a problem with the analog controls after the mod, which makes me think it was PS2. But oh well its not important.

- add your in-game main character name to your signature
- keep flames to the flameboard, no exceptions!
- no personal reference posts (i.e. clickbank, everwars, stuff like that)
- one signature image per post, even if you reply multiple times
- be courteous
- posts encouraging piracy, directly or indirectly, will not be tolerated
- post count bumping will not be tolerated

That's it!
Couldn't be easier really.

I consider piracy, me telling you to go download a copy of Windows off the Internet. But I have sent Sculli a PM and asked him to review my posts and delete them if needed.
