There was no 3 day temp-ban.
Ya totally missed the point. I realise that, but thank you for pointing it out.

For what? Bad taste? On the flameboard? No, she shouldn't.No you totally missed the point. She should be temp-banned or publicly disciplined in some way. Like Mire said, if she would have done that, she would have expected it.

Well shit, let's just go close the whole flameboard down, on the grounds that it could make someone cry. It doesn't matter who he is, or his relationship to anyone here, he decided to do something really stupid, and got flak for it. That's how it goes on the flameboard.I'm not the only one that feels it wasn't just 'bad taste'
Its blatent harassment, and went way over the line. Just because it was said against someone obviously hated on the boards doesn't excuse that it was said.
What Romper and Meeze have been doing lately is on par with this comment, and in my estimation, this is worse. She showed no remorse in PMs to me, and actually didn't know who I was asking her to apologize to.
Basically this guy came and posted for the first time on the forums to protect his brother, and one of his first greetings was that someone wished death upon him and his family. I don't know what kind of freaks are out there posting on these forums, and if someone else was saying this who wasn't normally so 'fruity', I'd be pretty scared for the lives of those two.

If you've got a problem with this, we might as well just close the whole damn thing down.
I did read the thread. I read exactly what it was. Defending a stupid person for doing stupid things in a stupid manner is stupid, I don't give a fuck what the relation between the two of them is.HE didn't do something stupid. HE was defending a relative. Jesus christ, don't comment if you didn't fucking read the thread.

Because I'm defending someone's ability to say what they want, in an appropriate venue, within the confines of what is legal? Yeah, I'm a real moron.Just like you're doing now, defending a fucking stupid person for doing something stupid is STUPID.

That's why I said "ability" and not "right". I think it's honestly a valuable lesson not to say things in public you don't want the public to know, especially on the intarweb. Stuff doesn't go away here. Ever. The internet doesn't have free speech. There's nothing "illegal" you can say here. It's a moral issue, and a very valid one at that. It's a question as to whether or not the moderators of the site are going to allow users to say rather offensive things about people's families, which really have nothing to do with FFXI or QCDN in general. Basically what people are saying is that anything you say here can be used against you. What we're arguing is that this isn't right once you cross a certian threshold. If the mods decide there isn't a threshold, I'm sure as hell never posting anything personal on Reality Sinks In or anywhere else on the board so people can throw it back in my face in the most offensive way possible without repercussions.
How much worse can you get than "I hope you die like your brother did"?

I think, regardless of what happens, a disclaimer that says "Remember what you're saying on the interbutt" is a good idea for reality sinks in.Let's update some rules on the site then. If the RSI board, which people like to use for venting about their problems in life, is to be a breeding ground for flameboard fodder, shouldn't there be some kind of warning on the RSI board saying as such so people know to be careful what they post there? Perhaps we should update the flameboard rules too and state it's a-okay to flame someone's RL as long as it was mentioned at some point in time on qcdn in the past, since right now it just expressly forbids doing so whatsoever.
P.S.: I will not "GTFO this thread", if you wanted to post your opinion without anyone disagreeing with you, get your own fucking forums and post there all by yourself.
Let's not forget, when making comparisons to others that have been perma-banned, that we are talking about Morwen making a single post in poor taste...In the FB...Versus people who have made many tasteless posts all over the forum.
That comparison is not legit. Not at all.
Also, Jamal, stop the bullshit, and dragging other people into this. You know I think you're a stand up dude in game, and in general, but this is pretty fucking stupid. If you're sore, be sore with some kind of focus. You're better than that, man. Leave other folks out of it that clearly have nothing to do with your "point".
I dunno... look at Kink... she not here anymore
Regardless, I have a large epeen bar and if I said something as disgusting as that I would expect atleast a 14 day temp ban. I don't give a fuck who you are, you don't wish death upon someone then say "teehee, they won't do anything" thats rediculous. I've seen people permabanned for less.
