i remember back in the days of Never Winter Knights, on a RTpvp server there was a blacksmither that i made an agreement with, i went with him on his garrison runs and carried his ore's and items and he would make my armor for my warrior. There wasn't a auction house in that game, and it was a lot more "realistic roleplaying" people didn't stand in town and /shout {do you have it} you found these people by talking to people and you talked in character the whole time. I felt so out of place coming to ffxi after being in that for so long, i thought everyone always roleplayed in these games.Daveman said:at this rate we really would be better off with an SoJ or barter system and forget about gil really.
sometimes i wonder if i should just go back to that game :/ there were no gill buyers no gill sellers, no power leveling either, if a gm thought you were xping somewhere to much in one day then you were killed they would place mobs in front of you while you were fighting. It was some hard core role playing rules, but for the most part i say they kept there server in check and there was never a dull moment playing it.
lol, know how hl's think there all bad in this game and a lot of others? well on this server a HL was picking on me in town for no reason and it raised a fuss so there was a huge gathering around us. well he killed me easily, but my hl friends walked up right after that and put him to death lol, they raised me and looted his body (i think he got DM'd for it also because killing in town was illigal)
To bad se doesn't have rules like that this game would of been a hell of a lot better if it had been more geard towards roll playing i think.
