Besides a Nice TP return when you WS and looks like higher damage is this just like a Warcry only it can last 5 mins.

Whats the point?

i noticed when i have war subbed and footwork up i double attack almost all the time. i was doin crit kicks over 200 today in campaign.

I noticed the sig, o .o; sorta makes me blush~

Seems like it can make Monk capable of high DoT without the same massive TP feed of regular fists. Sorta like 2-hand update for Monk, but not. I wonder if the damage is enough to warrant meleeing with Footwork on mobs such as Tu'Lia Gods, rather than old fashioned Chi Blasting. (I realise most people just TP-burn shit now anyway though.)

Has anyone checked to see if it stacks with hasso?

Hasso can only be activated when using a 2-handed weapon.

It was wishfull thinking, I was hoping it acted like a 2-hander

Um. Monks could hold a staff, then use footwork and hasso? How does h2h wep affect this? Would say... a Kinkobo make for a good footwork wep? Then you get the smexy DA or crit grips, too.

Thats a damned interesting idea. Now would zanshin then work as well?

Zanshin should work with hand-to-hand weapons, there's nothing in the description requiring a specific weapon.

Zanshin works with any weapon (Hence some of the +zanshin equip), but it doesn't work with any form of double attack.

Mnk's should be meleeing gods even if you aren't burning it >.>

I only tested it on 2 mobs when I was messing around, *Note: I was watching my TP bar more than what I was doing* I landed an attack and got something ridiculous like 19%TP. The return on Asuran was pretty nice.

I liked it for the very small test I did. Need more parses.

Anyone noticed an increase in delay with footwork activated? or was I just imagining it.

Just played with footwork for a few minutes, you have to have a hand-to-hand weapon equipped to kick, so Hasso is out. I didn't work on the timing to find out how long between attacks, but if it's close to what my hand-to-hand delay is, then it's pretty good DoT.

Has anyone tested the where the base damage of the footwork kicks are calculated from. Is it just off h2h or what weapon you are weilding?

EDIT : Never mind question was answered before I refreshed

Did another test comparing Junrenshi Habaki(+kick rate) vs. Dune Boots(+kick damage) on lesser colbiri. It was only 1 mob each and my parser's broken again, but Dune boots came out on top. Since I didn't have a parser, I just threw the numbers into Excel for the math.

Dune boots did an average of 174.5 damage per kick.
Junrenshi did an average of 116.9444 damage per kick.

I'm going to have to do a lot more testing(and get a working parser), and probably get the highest level of the +kick rate boots for a proper comparison; but based on a my limited test, Dune's are still better overall.

Can you do a quick test of base damage with no h2h weap equiped and see what the difference is?

I used dunes while barehanded and got an average kick damage of 198.4375, but I got 3 crits for 281, 283 and 285 this time, which skewed the results heavily in favor of bare-handed. Taking two of those crits out(I had a single crit for 282 with dunes earlier), it comes to 168.1875.

It doesn't seem to be effected by the base damage of your hand-to-hand weapon. If that's the case, then destroyers are probably going to be useless with this JA, since the +crit rate wouldn't apply to the kicks. I might have to pull my pair of Wagh Baghs off my mule.

Don't know for sure, but according to Wiki (link):

Wiki said:
In exchange for a penalty to attack delay and to spell timers, the monk receives an increase to damage and attack power, as well as a bonus to the amount of TP gained per kick. The monk must have a hand-to-hand weapon equipped to receive these bonuses.
