From her dozens (hundreds?) of "I'm going through a rough time in my life, so I'm going to quit, and I'm implying I'm suicidal so you all need to write good things about me so you don't feel guilty" and the subsequent "It's been a week and I'm back, how much did you all miss little old beloved me?", to where she flames her friends "Fuck you friends. You took time out of your precious lives to help me camp an NM, something that really only has real benefits for me, but you guys are kind enough to help me with it, but since you have a life, you can't stay up all night for the pop. And when it popped, you all weren't there, some friends you are, jackasses! Fuck you." that she tried to pass off as a "joke", how is something like this unexpected?

It's like being shocked that Neolink stalks and harasses people, and makes sockpuppets, or that Pandetech shouted a lot.

She's worse than RMT in my book. At least they don't go to any great lengths to hide who and what they are. Mish will ingratiate herself to you without doing anything, guilt you into doing something for her, but when it's time for her to return the favour, she screws you over. When it's time to show the same kindness she's received, she only has cold words for these people, unless she thinks you can and will do something else for her.

She's a parasite, a leech, and a disgrace.
As for why this thread was made so long after the fact, well here's a thought, and a comparison, one that'll especially hit close to home for our Canucks in the audience.

Excepting the fact that it's illegal, why did that man expose his juniour hockey coach for sexually abusing him so long after the actual incident happened?
1.) He was embarassed. Would also fit with this, since Neo was a huge "you idiot don't give out your info"
2.) He was shocked that this could happen. Also fits with Neo since he trusted her well enough to give her his account info.
3.) He wanted to warn the populace, and expose his offender for what kind of person he really was. Also fits Neo.
4.) He wanted to give a voice, and a place for other people who had the same thing happen to them be heard. What better place than the Flameboard. Actually, isn't that what the FB is all about?

In a very real sense, Mish violated Neo's char. It can't be undone, no matter how many apologies (real or fake) are made, it's left a scar on their friendship(not that it exists anymore), it's hurt Neo's ability to trust people, and something was done to him/his char without his consent. The only big difference I can tell, besides it being a GAME of course, is that the sexual abuse victim didn't have a private locker room, and didn't give the coach a key for it.

Somebody's gonna say (or has said) "she can't help it, she's just a victim, she has a problem, it's not her fault. does the kitten mean it when she scratches you?" And the response is, yes it is her fault, regardless of any problems she has. She makes a conscious decision to act the way she does. And if it's such a problem, can we stage an intervention to delete/ban her QCDN account and FFXI account+characters? Cause I think that'd be a big step in the right direction for everyone involved.

I feel sick after reading all of that. That's such a shame. It wasn't a misunderstanding, after reading Mish&Klank's replies it's simple logic about the two faced nature she had for that friendship. I mean, lieing to him and saying all the items belonged to her and she would help replace "his" items with "hers" was just a huge wake up call. Is she that naive to think Neo would fall for that? /sigh

So sorry that happened to you, Neo. Trust is so hard to fix and usually remains broken. I hope this event doesn't change how you trust your remaining friends too drastically. It's good to see you posted this with a clear head.

Ok, first off, this is a horrible comparison. Child molester does not equal thief. I've had things stolen from me in rl, even from a "close" friend. Guess what, I am not seeing a shrink about it. OMG, I am so brave. People who have been sexually abused, especially at a young age, have psychological issues with it for the rest of their lives. Ok, when I originally read this, I was going to take her side in this, because it was actaully something I was thinking even before I read this, not because I know her character, which I don't, but because it sounded like she panicked, regardless of whether or not he flipped out on her.

But after I read more of this thread (as much as I could, 30+ pages OMFG), I've come to a realization. There are only TWO people who should be discussing this: the OP and Mish. I understand the purpose of this thread was to "warn the public" to a possible "thief" in their midst, but seriously, look at his opening post, even his reason in his own words, for why this was written. He's upset at her (possibly) for taking their friendship for granted, not for stealing his shit, since he was going to give it away anyway. It could've been a misunderstanding, which if he has had a tendancy to go "emo" in the past, even speaking of suicide, it's actually understandable that she would panic, trying not to upset him, especially since they were so close. On the other hand, she could be trying to pick up the pieces from her failed theft attempt. Bottom line, she had items of his w/o his knowledge, and after being confronted about it, gave it back and apologized. That is all we need to know.

The rest should be discussed in private.

After all, how many people do you think Gerry Springer has TRULY helped?

It was whoever was the leader/coleader whatever of the shell "TeamSubligar" was, and if i recall correctly, that was Neogearzx. It was during the time she was hell bent on getting that staff from Roc.

One night she told me on AIM that people in the linkshell were accusing her of stealing a Maneater and another item or whatever from Neogearzx's account. I believed her, why wouldn't I? After telling her things like "Just tell them the truth", "Dont put up with bullshit like that", she told me "I'm a piece of shit, I really did do that. I thought he was quitting/deleting character.." or something to that effect. I heard she gave the items back and all was done and over with, it just surprised me that when this came up last night, that she didn't learn the first time.

no disrespect elei but i think this is miscommunication cause neogearzx never had maneater or anything and if anything would have happend to neogearzx he would have said something to me, knowning him so well in RL and all. i think she told you on AIM "Neo's maneater" meaning neosquall and you thought neogearzx since she was in teamsubligar at the time.

She does berate herself a lot, it's kind of annoying. However, as to what elei said, she gave the stuff back. In the case of Neosquall, seeing as Klank was using his stuff, she didn't have the means to give his stuff back to him at that moment.

Neo's being retarded for posting this in the first place.
Mish's being retarded for being too quick to assume he wouldn't want the stuff back anytime soon.
