For all you RDMs ...

I'm not a rdm so i don't give a shit. It was a good vid to watch and i'm impressed either way. You can't seem to stop with the hacking BS.

I'm just defending myself from ignorant people like you. We can go back and see who started it if you like?

Don't care, if you didn't want yourself to be a "dumbfuck" like me, you would have just dropped it too, but alas, I guess we're both dumbfucks :( What a shame. rofl.

I'm going to bed, your all just annoying me now. It's obvious Avesta hacks and your all gullible fools. Good night.

I'm just defending myself from ignorant people like you. We can go back and see who started it if you like?

How can you call us ignorant and have a bitch fit because we do not agree with you. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen ...

How can YOU prove Avesta doesn't hack. That would be a need trick.

You think he does. Other people think he doesn't. Obviously, there's disagreement. And honestly, it would be best if we left it at that. Personally my attitude towards hacking is that it's possible for anyone, but I'll only believe it if I see a convincing argument. With stuff like solid facts, evidence, logic, and reasoning. (Your argument, by the way, does not therefore qualify as "convincing" since it's more along the lines of "I'm right because I say so, and I'm too good to bother backing up anything I say".)

However, something you've been saying that *is* pretty proveable, is that whole built up bind resistance thing. (Which *is* applicable to post-CoP stuff, but last I checked Seiryu was pre-CoP, and therefore a test case for your claim would need to be pre-CoP as well.)

Someone has tested that, and proved you wrong, on a level 1 mob. Since you seem to find that test case disagreeable, *and* since really the burden of proof is on you since you're the one disagreeing with common belief, please, go out and gather some statistics on a test you think is meaningful.

Remember, pre-CoP test mob.

We get it, it's your "opinion." It's also others "opinions" that Avesta doesn't hack. But when you started calling them wrong for not having your "opinion", that's where, and why people started calling you out on it yourself. You say people refuse to believe that there's any chance he hacks. Well you're refusing to believe that there's any chance he doesn't.

It's annoying that you don't listen to anyone else's reasoning because there's just a tiny chance you just might be wrong. And you wonder why when person after person, time after time after time after time after time after time, shoots down your "theories" and call your "opinion" wrong, it's because, well, you called them wrong first- Nay, you called their "opinion" wrong.

HAHA, the bottomline is unless your Avesta how the hell do you really know if he hacks or not?

Re-reposted for more emphasis. Please listen to yourself.

Tom I could careless about who is wrong or right in this situation I did the test because I wanted to know and my girlfriend is leveling rdm next and she wanted to know. I only posted for people like vir who wanted to know if it really had this effect on all mobs. Feel free to call me names but intead of taking sides and making statment I decided to test it because I thought you could be right. As far as him hacking this proves nothing either way. He may hack he may not I could really care less it doesnt effect me.

HAHA, the bottomline is unless your Avesta how the hell do you really know if he hacks or not? So I'd stop sounding so sure he doesn't. My opinion is he does and your opinion, cause that's all it is, is that he doesn't. The only difference is I'm not blinded by fantasy land like some of you are.

I think that accusing someone without proof is sort of lame.

Tomasello said:
Other then a Dalmatica which wouldn't affect Bind or Crimson Body which Errant Body is a pretty good sustitute then ya, I do.

Did anyone else laugh at the refrence of Errant body being better than Crimson Scale/Blood scale? Im sorry but I know for a fact as a tank that radiant breath sucks nards. I wouldn't mind that dragon breath damage -20%

Crimson body
Errant Housomething

I can disprove that Tomasello knows nothing about RDM and it's enfeebles. If I remember correctly he said he could stack intellect gear and be just as good as the RDM in the video. Now if I remember correctly Bind is a white mage enfeeble. Once again if I remember correctly as I am no mage aren't whm enfeebles based on mind? Correct me if I am wrong if he was the one that said stack intellect gear for a whm enfeeble. I am 99% sure that WHM enfeebles are mnd base.

Bind is a black magic spell used by RDM and BLMs, Not sure about DRK.

The only issue here is whether Avesta soloed Seiryu legitimately. TRUST ME the next time my LS is in sky and is fighting this HNM I'm going to Haste myself cast Bind every single time I can and see how many times I can land it. If I can't do it reliably (ie 95% of the time alla Avesta) with 342 enfeeble, as much INT as I can pile on, and Aquilo's Staff then he's a fraud.

To Tom: Also calling Avesta a fraud just cause you can't do it is more close-minded than anything I've heard. With or without hacks.

/em goes to read page 2.

You said you knew a hacker when you saw one. Prove how he hacked. I mean you DO have him pegged after all with no proof. I got tired of reading your mindless jabber after mind numbing pain of reading your failed logic then resorting to child tactics of calling people dumbfucks for saying he isn't hacking. The only "hack" i see him using is the extra macro lines on windower. You are a child you have no proof. You lose. You were pwn'd around oh page 2.

Alright I was thinking it was a WHM spell like slow. Nvm that part then.

Its not strenghtening Tomasello's argument. Its not really tearing it appart either. All I explained were how teleporting mobs were possible.

However, that's a lot different from forcing a mob to be attacking you. That'd require tricking the server in to thinking you're somewhere your not, while still being at the very same place you're currently at on your own screen. However, doing this wouldn't benefit yourself, as the monster is controlled by the server. So if the server thinks you're right besides the mob, the mob would attack you.

Unless you somehow manages to to split the server in half, which would be similar to startign a time vortex and meeting yourself 10 years ago. No one knows how it could happen, and no one knows what would happen.

I'm serious. Chasym possibly had every hack in existance on his computer. Even some he made himself, and some currently unreleased hacks. His hack folder were a friggin' 2GB or something. Don't you think he'd have used a mob-teleporting hack while we were doing events, or a constant-bind hack in order to bind Seiryu through hundred fist when we did gods, if such hacks existed?

You're right that it doesn't strengthen or weaken his argument directly. However, the purpose of the example I brought forth was to denounce any opposition that such or similar hacks were nonexistent. Without knowing that such or similar hacks are, his proposal to be open to the possibility of hacks unknown, or that cannot otherwise be directly observed through the presented medium, would be null. My goal, then, was to clear up any oblivion. You, by having detailed my example, furthered that goal, thus preventing his argument (or at least a part of it) from becoming totally invalid.

As for the illegal executable (saying hack so much gets jarring) you've explained, I quoted part of what you said stating that the monster would warp with a pos-hacking player after it has aggro'd during some milliseconds. Aggroing is followed by [the monster] attacking [the player]. I guess I wasn't clear enough, so I'll rephrase what I had said: the monsters were not attacking when it appeared in front of the RMT. Knowing this, it obviously didn't match the prerequisite of aggro. Now this of course would be circumvented if the monster would disengage during the time changing positions, if that's how the hack works. I know I don't know how they work exactly, so note I'm just being open to such possibilities.

And to answer your last question: I don't know. I don't know Chasym. However, when he confessed it out loud here at QCDN, I remember him saying he had a lot of hacks and didn't really use many of them because he admitted they were extremely unfair, obviously ruining the play experience for him. Note: for him, since having a fun experience is subjective to each individual, so whatever illegal executables he used, he used. Now, other than the purpose of selling such hacks, I too don't see a reason for keeping that much of it. That's your question as well as mine.

(I know I'm late, was on commute.)

I don't care about the main flame topic here, but regarding the mysterious scorpion popping down by the Phantom Worm spot yellow and not aggroing initally. Hmmm geee, i wonder why.

Oh that's right, one of the mobs down there can also spawn as a Scorpion. Just fyi.

Uh, no, just worms, which only appear in the paths connected to the central Phantom Worm area. And raptors, which were our exp source. Our party wasn't stupid to camp on top of popping scorpions.

quick clarifying question, what end is aggro/enmity on? client or server? i'm thinking client because of how much enm gear and abilities affect things. if you could simply modify your enmity via hack a mob would move to you, no?

Going back to the main topic...

I'm sure that hack makes a world of difference. It is a hack because it is outside the boundaries of how the designers intended for the players to play the game. Those extra macro lines save precious time not having extra macros to press. Additionally, extra macro space means more macros can be added to the same palette, which allows the player to react with different spells/abilities faster. It makes sure all your gear swaps are successful, since pressing a macro too soon after another will override the actions of the previous one. Or you can press it too late, which is precious time lost.

It would have to be on the server since the monsters interface with player enmity, needing to know this at all times to know who/what to attack. That's my inductive conclusion, anyways.
