1. If it had been me, and my router had problems which caused me to disconnect on an entire party, the first thing I would do is apologize when I had the chance. I would really hate for a party to have to deal with finding a replacement, only having to wait 10 minutes to see if I come back and then possibly have to disband in the end because there are no replacements.
2. You still haven't addressed the part where you went AFK for a good 8 minutes, without a word and then came back, without a word. Again, if you're called away from the game and you can't take a half a second to type "AFK", but when you come back, usually the courteous thing is to apologize for the sudden "AFK status" and then give a short reason. Ex: "Hey i'm sorry I had to go AFK like that, had to run to the kitchen, stove was on fire".
3. Yes this was a flame, more directed at the fact that I really get annoyed with people that force d/c because they don't have the balls to tell the party they are ready to leave, but instead make them wait around thinking you might come back, and then when they have waited long enough, they try to look for a replacement but as often as the case is, can't find one and so the party disbands. Party disbands because of the person who forced d/c. That indicates that the player is selfish and has no remorse.
But it was also a way to vent at the fact that you inconvenienced the party when you had your d/c. If I were in your shoes, and my router really was at fault, then i'd be understanding of the party who would be upset with me because i'd potentially screwed them over.
4. If you read my post, you'll notice that though it sounds i'm convinced you did force your disconnection, I did mention that "it is possible he has an excuse" but that I said I find it highly unlikely given the circumstances.
But yeah, as Xean said you didn't really address anything in my initial post, which just leaves me with the impression that you're the type of player that does force d/c after they level.
