Found an interesting document

Wow nice job. Very interesting read. It brings back crazy good memories because I remember a majority of that stuff as it happened.

Interesting read. If we have a Necro of the Year thread, this one gets my vote.
 
I would be all for a sticky. I remember first reading this topic and loving every bit of it.

If there's a vote for whether to sticky this, I vote for! Nice read on how the game progressed since closed Beta, quite a shame is ended Jan 2005. Perhaps some more knowledgable players (and/or people with time to go through POL archives) can update it to this day lol

I heard that early ffxi mithra /sit was a kinky sitting position is that true? lol cuz i heard about that rumor before and maybe someone complains about it and SE had to moditfy it

Not really kinky, just uncrossed legs. And yeah, there was apparently a ton of harassment going on over it stupidly.
 
- Drk can now use Two handed sword WS. But since there were no good two handed swords usable by drk, since primary weapons were for plds, two handed sword has become Pld's weapons and for drk it was a mare extra weapon to have (like Sythe skill for blm).

Compare this to now where 90% of DRKs spam Spinning Slash and merit Great Sword. el-oh-effing-el.
