Freakin Dogs

I have two shitzus and even though they're bastards I love em. The eldest of the two, Buddy is calm, pretty well trained but still has a habit to chew any and all toilet paper he finds.

My other dog, Fenrir, is a little demon from hell but he shows the most traits of my old dog, Gizmo so I tend to give him more attention. He likes to chew walls and sleep on my chest.

As for the pooping thing. There are puppy mats that you can buy for like 10 bucks. Some come scented to help train the dog to piss and shit there. Another thing is a spray. Now, I used the spray back in the day on Gizmo and he was trained after 2 days. I haven't been able to find anymore.

When training dogs I found it easier if you use a stern voice and ZERO force/violence. I yell at my dogs when they do something wrong and they know they fucked up. Or even when training them to go outside. Now, I just open the door and they go piss/shit and come back. They're very young too. Buddy is like 8 months and Fenrir is only 5 months.

If you don't want them getting into a part of the house do what people said, Buy a little fence. I did to keep them from shitting upstairs and when I take it down they never go up there(Unless I'm up there). Dogs are EXTREMELY smart and pick up everything you teach them. It just depends on how you teach them. Treat them like you would a retarded baby. Slow, easy, and with small words.

Heh Fenrir.

The first Dog is "Bruce".... a.k.a.:
- Bruce Doggie Dawwg
- Dung'nn Dung'nn (like saying the letter N from you're throat)
- Tootoo
- Toong'nn'Toong'nn (You need attempt to overlap the 2 symbols in order for it to sound right. Other words say it fast.

And sometimes the names randomly spliced. He responds to all his nicknames lol.

Second Dog is "Sally Muffin". Yes my Roommate is Homosexual. I don't know what Sally's names will evolve into. It depends on the warmth and disgust i humorously find in her fresh shits.

I remember my mom's pug Sassy would alway pee on stuff when she was a puppy. She'd get so excited to see people and just couldn't help it. After training her it wasn't so bad. As long as your housemate works to train it, it shouldn't be bad. I think someone mentioned that Dachshunds are difficult to train. I've never had one nor have I personally trained a dog so I wouldn't know. Just remember that it doesn't mean to mess things up and it's a baby that just wants some love from you.

The other day Sally started shitting out blood. And has constant diore

So my roommate takes her to the vet. The Doctor took a shit sample. Today the Doctor calls and says how the Dog has what is called "Giardia" and offers medication for it.

I go on Google to find out what exactly this thing is and long and behold it's a type of parasite (very common in puppies) that lives in the bowels. It can be contracted from drinking water and is also contagious.

Even outdoor areas such as grass fields requires at least 20 days of quarantine once it's been infected, and i have this shit running around in my house ! Giardia can also be spread to other animals including Human beings, so now when the dog shits, I'm beyond repulsed. I know there are microscopic organisms in my home that will especially make me start pissing out of my ass and probably cause my bowels to bleed.

As mean as it sounds, I'd like to put the dog outside and leave it there for 20 days. I would actually consider doing that if it wasn't freezing cold.

For now we're taking all known measures to treat this parasite. Right now I'm boiling water, which will then be filtered and cooled for the Dog's drinking purposes.

Anyone else find it hilarious that in every one of Ant's posts... "Dog" is capitalized? Makes me chuckle, anyways...

I'm not a huge dog fan myself. My ex-gf had 3 Labs, who were awesome and I loved playing with them, but I would never want to live with them.

For me, it will always be cats > dogs. I may be in the minority amongst males, but you can keep your odiferous little buddies in your house.

I agree. I've always prefered cats.

He looks like a nice Dog. If he wanted to he can scale that fence. If there was one like that on the other side of my yard, i would go see him from time to time.

I wouldn't like to pick up his shit though. My roommates father has a Great Pyrenees, just by seeing the Dog in a shitting position made me gag. All all puts the larger Dogs have the most upsetting shit. It can probably match elephant shit it's so gross.

He tries to attack my lawn mower every time I mow the yard. >.>

Only if you somehow ingest it's fecal matter, you can't get the parasite from the dog. =P
Also, smaller dogs have a huge difficulty going outside during cold weather since they generally are much more susceptible to the low temperature than people give them credit for. My dogs are trained to go outside but they're only 17+15ish pounds or so each. If it dips below 40 degrees, there's almost no chance the smaller of the two will go out.

I agree with Mishaela. As long as you practice good hygiene you should be fine. My sister's cats had worms when they were kittens and no one caught them since they washed their hands after dealing with the litter box or their other messes. My nephew was 2 at the time and getting into everything so if it was just from being around them, he would have gotten it.

Sally is no longer showing signs of Giardia. The blood is long gone and she's making more solid shits for us to seek out. She's been acting less tame now, making messes and more energetic. On the up side she still stays with the pack without the need for a leash, although i only let her off the leash when at the park.

Other day Bruce was all up in my roommates face hanging off the side of the couch, while my roommate was eating these sugar coated gummy strip things. Then he gives a whole one to Bruce. I was like "WHAT THE HELL !!", cause seriously Bruce has gotten really fat, and he give something like that to the Dog. The guy is a dedicated dog owner though, he'll wake up crack of dawn to walk the Dogs, before he goes to the gym and off to work, comes home and walks the Dogs first thing. If neither of us are home, he'll drop whatever he's doing to run home for the Dogs. But damn don't give the Dog something that can mess him up, no matter how rare.

But yeah, Bruce has turned obese, so we're looking up dietary plans for Dogs. Sally's in good health so her new bursts of energy has Bruce on his feet. They make so much racket my first thought is to stop them, but then i think Bruce can use the additional exercise, and leave them be when their like that.
