Was seeking on Red Mage for quite some time...about an hour and a half pass, and I get an invite from a PUP named Frios. He asks if I'd like to duo some Lesser Colibri while he starts up a party and such. I search the people in range and see a PLD, a WAR, some MNKs, a RNG, a BLM...plenty to work with, so sure, why not?
I say sure, he invites me, and we head or and start duoing Lesser Colibri for a few minutes. After about ten minutes I ask why he hasn't gotten anyone yet, he says he's waiting for his tank friend to log on. I figure he'll be on any moment and continue to kill crap with him. Another few moments pass (at this time about 20mins total) and I asked him where his tank is. No response. I ask again in a few more minutes...no response. I finally flat-out tell him to get someone else if his buddy isn't going to be on within the next few minutes, he responds saying he just intended for us to duo all along (after about 40mins total of just putzing around getting bullsh-!t xp). Awesome. So I got lied to about it even going to be an actual xp party, but it doesn't end there. <3
I decide to wait a few minutes and tell him that I was sorry but would rather just be in a full xp party than duoing, since the xp was, well, horrible, and that I'd be going in a few more kills, to which he responds "no problem". After a few more kills I notify him that it'd be my last kill, he says sure and he pulls another Lesser Colibri. I pull hate from debuffs/DoTs and the bird starts slapping me a bit. He runs up to it and continues to hit it. I ask him if he's gonna voke, and he gets the DC dot instantly. Bird continues hitting on me. I try to run a bit and bind it (can't sleep due to DoTs...) but to my dismay, the automaton is able to continue attacking it, thus breaking bind, but isn't hitting quite hard enough to pull hate off me. I make an attempt to zone it but wind up dying since the TP the toy fed it resulted in me eating a Pecking Flurry for 400ish.
About ten minutes later I see him login and instantly start seeking. He shoots me a tell, "I'm sorry. I hope you didn't die." - I reply to him that I did, and ask if he could try to get me a raise or something. No response, he runs right by my body.
