i've already done it an appreciation hasn't followed...as i've said before im not doing this for my parents. I could really fucking care less what my parents think.

Krisy, i totally understand where your coming from, i had that same view-point while i was living at home with my parents. However, like Ultraseven mentioned earlier, you'll learn to appreciate your parents and all they do for you. There is a LOT more to life than FFXI, mortgage payments, car payments, insurance, food, clothes, water bill, electric bill, and if your as lucky as me, children that require a LOT of time and money.
So, maybe your momentarily upset about a rule that your parents have implemented and inforced, but i encourage you to take the "5 year rule" to heart.
5 year rule = think to yourself, what am i going to think about this situation 5 years from now.
everybody goes through such a stage in life, but now, i'm greatfull for all that my parents were able to teach me through example, whether i was willing to see that at the time or not, i see it now.

Just a couple comments, as a child and a minor, respect from adults and older peers is earned not given freely just cuz you think you deserve it. This is not the same for your elders, especialy your parents.

My fucking parents are gayest on planet earth.All my dad says is "YOu are good for nothing" "Go work" "i'm getting rid of the cable" "Go die!! <== this pisses me off" and mm my sister has nothing to do but point at me so she can club all day and night.My dad even fucking stabbed me with a pen and i still have a whole in my hands.Its so fucking gay and i had A pluses always and i never got appreciation but now i get a C and they are making my life fucking hell.And then when u ask an rdm if he wants to party... [no thanks] damn!!! that lights a fire under my ass.I don't understand... when i used to be out 24/7 smoking with neighbourhood kids and galz..... they had a problem with that also so now WTF.And if i get kicked out of my house i'm going to rob a fucking bank and use that to pay for ffxi and booze for that.

wow what i would not give to be a young again and having my parents pay for everything. I got a job at 16 and thats when i started paying for my own stuff.
