my guess he had a friend that was lfg as drg and want to party with him. The rdm went at it all the wrong ways though.
 
I don't care that he wanted a drg, hell we had room, could have got one if thats what he wanted of if he had a friend that was one. That just wasnt the case though. and Yes this was a semi pick up party.. I party with a couple of friends and pick up filler jobs. And as far as a rdm main healing.. How many fuckin rdm's do you all know that can actually do their INTENDED Job of enfeebling, dispeling, hasting, and refreshing pretty well? Let alone main heal on top of that? I know very few and I have partied with quite a few RDM's. IF you can, great.. but dont kid yourselves with that "I know a bunch who can" because you are fuckin lyin.

I bet he's one of those moron's that waits for a raise 3 over a raise 1 also when KO'd. Whm's are plenty sought after when somebodys high-level face is down in the mud.

I like Ninja and all... but damn. I prefer PLD more. And there are people that say "lolPLD tank.."

wtf, pld was meant to be a tank, nin wasnt, lol. some people.

edit: yes I know in some spots, NIN is more of an asset, duh.

Arguements on the job make up of PTs aside, Revrandlord is an idiot. Ran into him a couple weeks ago, he wouldn't PT unless someone bought him a taco. Seriously. When asked why he needed one, his response was "because i'm hungry and i want a taco salad" No one was really sure if he was kidding or not, but he didn't bother making it clear and we moved on a to a different mage.

If he's in your level range and you need an RDM, consider waiting for someone else to start seeking rather then inviting.

I was in that party. At first I thought he wanted to make a taco, go to taco bell or something. But no, he wanted someone in the party to buy him a taco because the leader asked him to party while his flag was down. I don't even understand why he wanted a taco, it's not like it's good food for a RDM.

I was just gonna say this. I've been in some great parties where I take care of hasting either all, or all but the tank melee in the party as well the obvious refreshing/enfeebling/dispelling while the WHM takes care of the healing, buffing and erasing. As a result, i'm able to toss out MBs which do decent damage as I have the appropriate gear because I have a little more MP to play with. I would probably prefer a RDM + BRD setup, but I wouldn't ever decline a RDM + WHM setup either because i've had some of the best xp with those parties provided the other DDs are well equipped/skilled.

Also, shouldn't all DD be hasted with just one haster anyways? (unless they're taking too much hate)
 
You can haste everyone if you're the only haster, but you can easily lose track if something happens and it's a lot of mp to have to throw out every 3 minutes.

Was the whm and rdm the only support in the party? I always like 3 back-line, 3 front-line myself, but you can go with 2 with nin tank, or if your chaining VTs. It is true that whm can get bored with a good NIN tank, I've heard it from many WHMs. As far as him leaving, it was his fault for not asking about the party set-up, he should have stuck with you guys once he accepted the invite, or found you guys a replacement (that you all agreed on).
 
I know when Tongan and I staticked (my WHM and his RDM), I think I went throught 95% of my level 20-75 with a Paladin tank. Ninja tanks get boring and I tend to fall asleep.

With my RDM however, I had a NIN static tank, and while I was main healer, I only had one back up, the SMN. And so now I know that it is hard to always have a WHM in the party, and that's why I will most likely Raise II+ people in the zone I'm in.

Anyway, one time Revrandlord got mad at me because I called him stupid and annoying. Geez, he's so touchy.
