SPC Benjamin Moore of Bordentown, NJ was killed in Afghanistan last week by an IED. Those degenerates from the Westboro Baptist Church are planning on protesting at his funeral. I am going to Bordentown this Saturday morning in my Army class A's to join many others in shielding his family from those protestors. I ask all those who can, to join us. My friend is getting in touch with the Patriot Guard Riders. We are trying to get as many people as we can to protect the family of SPC Moore from these monsters. If you are in the area we need your help!

Thank you.

Do these people even have jobs? It seems like they're at a funeral to protest every chance they get.

I'm not much of a religious person at all. But, I still pray here and there for a bus to smack right into these people.

WBC is mostly comprised of Phelps' family, and a lot of them are lawyers, so I'd imagine they get their money from bullshit lawsuits.

You mean grief money from suing people that "hinder them from performing the basic right of freedom of speech"?

How the heck did lawyers (of all professions) become hyper-zealous nut jobs. The joke usually goes that they sell their souls to the devil >.>;

Unfortunately. A friend of mine is deeply mired in their legal bullshit right now.

Other way around, actually. Hyper-zealous nutjobs went out and got law degrees, because no self-respecting lawyer wanted to take their cases.

Suppose that makes sense. I guess that means asking Reya to slash their tires is out of the question haha.

Yeh, I suppose asking Reya to drop kick each of them in the throat is also way out the question. Makes me happy thinking about it though.

They are the most hateful SOBS I've ever known of!

Reya, I hope the family is saved from their antics! I'm too far away, if they're were ever to pull that stuff up here I'd be there to make my voice heard until I lost it against them!

i think WBC is going to hell :)

Good luck with shielding the funeral from these bastards though ^^b

if i lived closer, you would definately count me in. but, sadpanda cant make it

I went ahead and posted this on my Facebook and forwarded it to people I know that live in that area as well, so hopefully you will have a few more bodies to help counter those bastardos!

How those cases hold up in court I have no idea. The Bill of Rights isn't meant to protect people from people, but people from government.

If God tells me that the proper way to mourn is to stand amidst WBC dipshits and swing open milk jugs filled with a mixture of rancid milk, rotten eggs, and a heapin helpin of cayenne pepper, is it my God-given and Constitutionally-protected right to do so?

Also, why has no one tried these guys for(unsuccessfully, so far at least) inciting a crowd to violence?

Unfortunately, they would probably try and sue you for assault (if you hit them).

They are pretty much the best trolls the world has ever known. I'm fairly certain that they cover their asses legally in this regard by informing the police of their plans. If the police fail to protect their "protest", WBC sue them. Their signs and chants are specifically designed to incite rage, but target no one specific. They say shit like 'God hates fags', but never 'God hates [targeted person]' or '[targeted homosexual] is a fag' so it is incredibly difficult to charge them with defamation of character.

My friends family tried suing them for emotional distress, but are still in court due to legal ninjitsu WBC is infamous for. As much as it pains me to say it, they will probably never be jailed for their actions. My only hope is that they target the wrong funeral (let's say a soldier with ties to the Hell's Angels), and they get what everyone hopes.

See? That's what gets me. If I went down to a police station and said, "Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that tonight at the 7:00 showing of Black Swan, I'm gonna shout 'Fire!' repeatedly and with great vehemence. Now keep in mind, I'm not targeting anyone specifically and any ensuing chaos is totally on you guys," no way is that gonna fly.

Just like if someone went "Die Hard: With a Vengeance" and showed up in a predominantly ethnic neighborhood wearin a sandwich board that said "God Hates (insert ethnic group here)", that dude would be either dead or in jail so fast it'd make your head spin.

I don't think a decent lawyer would have too big an issue makin the comparison in a court of law. After all, the KKK and the Neo Nazis have been denied assembly and parade permits for similar reasons if I'm not mistaken.

Personally, I think a great counter-protest would be just showin up with signs that say "God Loves. Period." . . . with maybe just a few that said "But I hate idiots." :P

I'm fairly certain that shouting 'Fire!' or similar things in crowded, enclosed places is illegal and would be subject to prosecution. Protests, which is what WBC does, is not as it's, I believe, protected under the Constitution.

I'm pretty sure that's the same type of thing WBC is doing, so it would be legal to do, just not advised.

I'm fairly sure you are mistaken. The KKK, Neo Nazis, and other hate groups have staged protests on public property.

There is a biker organization (whose name is escaping me at the moment) who does something similar. They provide a barrier between the funeral and WBC using their bikes, huge flags, and revving their engines.

actually the neo nazis were denied the permission to parade in Toledo Ohio a few years back because of the uproar from the community, So they decided they would walk the side walks of my neighborhood legally instead, a mere two blocks from my home, thus sparking the Toledo riots of 2005, I happened to be out of town and turn on the TV and live on CNN was my neighborhood, i couldnt get ahold of any of my family, all lines were down, i raced home and there were cars turned over, buildings burning, it was terrifying. They burned down a historic building, The gas station in the video was being worked by a pregnant woman that they beat down. Nuts. All because they didnt march downtown where it could have been more controlled.

Do you remember what parade it was that denied them?
