I just wanted to know what one would buy if price wasnt an issue. PS3 or xbox360.

Please dont argue, please dont tell me why you like your system and not your friends system. I've been asking friends and its 50-50 pretty much, and most people just dont like one or the other.

If price wasn't an issue I'd buy the PS3 because thats what most of the games I'm looking forward to are coming out for.

FFXIII, FFXIII Versus, DMC4, White Knight Story, and some others i forget =P

Xbox360. Hands Down.

Other than Halo why is the 360 better?

Yes I'm actually this ignorant.

You said in your OP not to tell you why... lol.

I personaly can't stand sony playstation. I've only owned xbox's. For me, it's all about Xbox Live and the games the 360 has. My understanding is that the PS3 has very few good games still? Anywho, I just voted cause I own a 360. =P

Halo isn't a reason it's better :P Mass Effect and Fable 2 are really the only two games that are pwnsome (imo) for 360. And they'll prolly be on computer anyways (Mass Effect especially if EA has their way).

PS3 won't die nearly as much as a 360. Honestly, if you ignore price and expect 360 failure rates to decline more (as they have been as far as I can tell) than they seem like fairly even systems. All the best games are for both anyways, as far as I'm concerned. PS3 only has a few more I want (also it's cause I'm expecting a lot of the 360 games to be on PC soon or eventually anyways).

Online seems to play better on Xbox because we actually pay a fee for it. Playstation's online isn't horrible but it isn't always the best. I have noticed more problems playing around on PS then on xbox so if you are looking to playing games with friends online then xbox is probably your best bet. If you are buying it to play mostly solo games then I would definately go with the PS. I own both but I play the xbox more because I am into online games more so.

I just dont want people to say "dont get this, and this is why, and i hate this just because."

Mass Effect, Forza 2, Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden 2. Lost Odyssey looks pretty cool too.

Yea I beat Bioshock for the PC, very awesome game. Also I've played Ninja Gaiden and it looks very interesting.

XBOX 360, reason? Because I have owned both and now dont have either, but liked the 360 better.

Controllers can vibrate, XBOX Live is stellar, Halo 3, BioShock, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, Forza 2, Guitar Hero 3 and Maddeon 08 all play much better on 360. Granted PS3 doesnt get some of those games, and that is why I wont own one.

360 because of X-Box live.

I still don't care for the x-box 360 controller, even though it is substantially more comfortable than the big ones for X-Box.

But I still don't have a Wii, and I'm going to get one of those before I even begin to think about getting something else that cost too much money which I don't have time to play anyway.

I'm really quite disappointed by the games available for the most recent generation of systems. It's like developers think life like graphics are a replacement for in depth content. I hate sports games, fps are kinda meh, and if you've played one 3rd person shooter, you've played em all. The best game I've played in the last 5 years on any console has been guitar hero and since I only have it for ps2, the replayability is very limited.

I find myself playing Super Nintendo more than any other system.

That's not even a reason. Play Unreal 3 for the PS3, it's an infinately better FPS than Halo could ever hope to be.

I picked PS3, for game selection and reliability.

right now, xbox 360 has about the same amount of games released as ps3 has released and anounced for the next 2 years. I'd be willing to bet it's more for the exclusive game selection than the over all game selection as ps3 has more exclusive titles anounced than they have current titles available. Xbox 360 is exclusive in about 1/3 of their titles.

Xbox 360 is exclusive in about 1/3 of their titles.

That is because microsoft has to deal with PC gamers too, and will cater to them far more than 360 owners, because they have been around longer and have more power. Where as the only other platforms sony has to deal with are the PSP and PS2, which don't have the power to run next gen games, so they are okay to make them PS3 exclusive.

Xbox 360 hands down. I have both and if a game gets released on both platforms i buy it for 360 for 2 reasons; 1. Xbox live 2. Cross platformers usually run better on 360. Live is big for me because my friends from school play it, but also a bunch of people i've met online and I know if i get a game i will usually have atleast a few friends on to play with (although this was a problem with CoD4 because i had to many people to play with and it was hard to choose lol). And although the cross platform issue may not be true with every game, it sure as hell seems to be pretty bad in sports games like madden and apparently orange box is terrible on ps3, atleast thats what i heard.

Honestly what it should come down to is A) Which your friends have and if youll be able to play online with them, if this doesn't apply to you then throw it out but if it does id rank it as a higher priority B) Do you see yourself buying/watching blu rays. No i wouldn't base my choice to go with a ps3 only on blu-ray but it is nice to have C) Probably the most important is which exclusives look better to you. Are you jonsing for some Uncharted, warhawk, haze (when its released), MGS4(when its released), resistance and rachet and clank. Or would you rather be playing Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3, Gears of War, Ninja Gaiden 2(WR) and any other games you may be into. Also I don't know if you have a good PC or not but some of the games like Gears or as you said bioshock are on that as well and if you can play them there then there exclusivity might not hold as much weight. D) Finally the last thing that comes to my mind would be if you have a PS2 and would like to play those games on it. This isn't a huge deal since you could keep your ps2 anyway (i sold mine on craigslist for 50 bucks though).

So there you go, sorry for the huge wall of text but hope it helps some.

Edit: Also incase you didn't know UT3 is coming to xbox next year too, but if your computer can handle bioshock i'd assume it could do UT3 and i'd go with it for PC over a console and thats rare for me.
