I never understood why it was so highly praised, it was fun, but I could never get why people loved it so much.

Mostly it was the humour. It was a pretty solid RPG though, pretty off-beat with a lot of reasonably unique aspects. The plot was pretty decent, the script was entertaining, the characters were likable, the visuals were pretty well done for their time, and it wasn't so easy a drunken monkey could beat it blindfolded.

It would've a been pretty forgettable generic RPG if it wasn't for the off-beat humour laced throughout the game though.

Tag left out that it has the best feature an RPG could ever have. And yet, it's one of the only ones to employ it - Auto Win battles that take more time to start up than they do to play out.

And alas, it never make UK shores, the best we had to make do with was emulations, which is why a good amount of UK players didn't know who the hell Nes was in SSB64 :<

Zero Mission.

I totally do not remember the conveyor belt lift thing. It's been too long since I've played a Metroid game. I know now what I must do.

Yep, that's Metroid: Zero Mission. I enjoyed Fusion more for the GBA though, just because that Dark Samus would freak me out, lol, it created a great sense of danger when it showed up.

it wasn't dark samus.. it was Paraiste X Samus or SA-X. Man.. if only original metroid looked like Zero Mission, lol.

Dark Samus, SA-X, Shadow Samus, Noob Saibot, it's all the same....

And isn't Zero Mission basically the original Metroid with revamped graphics, thus making your wish true?

Dark Samus and SA-X are two entirely seperate entities.

Dark Samus is the manifestation of Phazon torn right off of Samus' suit and the last bit of will Metroid Prime had.

SA-X is just an amebic virus.

Metroid: Zero Mission is the correct answer and also the expanded, and graphic-enhanced version of the original Metroid if I recall correctly.

Yep, that's Bart's Nightmare on Sega Genesis, you had to beat certain levels to find pages of your homework or something. Bart was a giant lizard, Maggie had a Indiana Jones level I think, Homer was King Kong, and I think Lisa was in a Itchy and Scratchy cartoon. It's been so long, I remember game was a bitch though, few hits and you "woke" up with whatever grade you got.

On second thought, wasn't Bart in his Bartman disguise and had flying levels?

Bart's Nightmare also appeared on the SNES. I know that for a fact as I never had a Sega Genesis.

Yeah, I'd hafto say Bart's Nightmare...pretty sure Bartzilla vs King Homer is only on the Sega Genesis version though.
