was recently thinking of purchasing a pair of spiked finger gauntlets.
just wanted some feedback from people. is the +12 attack substantial? is it noticeable. bear in mind my main is DRG, so i dont get fire bomblet etc, which is why im considering these gloves. ty!

but whether you are a DRG or not, i still want to know people's experiences with the effectiveness of the +12 attack from these gloves.

that piece alone by itself will make little difference but when coupled with other good pieces for att/acc/etc. it will make a difference.

+10 or -10 attack isn't a big difference at higher levels, you need a lot to make it count, they're good for drg, as red said smart grenade is a good choice if you need acc then grab a tiphia sting as well.

But assuming your other gear is optimal then yes get the gloves which will only benefit you more
 
here's my current setup. Lv. 50

Weapon: Mythril Lance +1
Grip: Brass Grip +1
Head: Walkure Mask
Neck: Spiked Necklace (looking for storm gorget or waiting till Merman Gorget)
Earrings: Beetle Earrings +1 x 2 (considering Tortoise +1)
Hands: Spiked Finger Gauntlets (Battle Gloves for TP)
Rings: 2x Woodsman (2x Puissance too altho i usually keep acc rings on for Penta)
Body: Brigandine
Back: Jaguar Mantle
Waist: Life Belt
Leg: Republic Subligar
Feet: Volans Greaves (waiting to upgrades to RSE boots hopefully by 60, need to farm lots haha)

how does my gear setup rate? :| i know i dont have a PCC and im trying to obtain one >.<

considering going for a ACC setup and then use attack foods, what are people's opinion on this approach. thanks for all the help everyone.

not really melee centered just giving general advice but somethings you may want to snag

potent belt(60), sword belt+1(if acc isn't an issue), and vanguard belt(until you get potent)

it looks decent to me, going by the rse comment i'm guessing you're either a taru or elf (read: taru rse: str and vit based elf: agi and dex) assuming tarutaru though.

your gear is pretty good also consider some of the grips like mythril +1 and etc. (double attack, crit rate, and so on).

im hume =) good guess tho. i meant the Ocean M Boots hehe at level 60 but because im Male it costs 350,000 vs 40,000 for female -_-" hahaha.

yeah the grips, im looking forward to getting new ones =) hehe

Personally I'd definetly use SFGs. That's a great amount of att at that level to have. I'm guessing your using sushi so a nice chunck of att from one piece is always nice.

Also, don't forget about at lvl 58 Assault Earring for +2acc and +5att.

Those boots are well worth the cost though. I bought them just for my HP set up on PLD long time ago. They work very well for all DD jobs though due to the +str and +dex. Well worth the 350k imo. I paid 550k for mine. x:
