Ghost rider

Ghost Rider surprised me by being better than expected. The "boss fights" were all set on 'tard difficulty (and to think I used to bitch about the Corpser battle in Gears of War being too short and easy).

Oh, wait... movie... not a video game...

When i first heard the premise for the third RE movie, WTF was on my mind.
After hearing what has been described to me, i'm not surprised everyone else is feeling WTF right now.
Just remember this name folks, Paul W.S. Anderson.
He wrote and produced all the Resident Evil movies, Dead or Alive, and the upcoming Castelvania AND Driver movies. I assume he's competing with Uwe Boll for best video game adaptation rapist.

no wonder dead or alive is gonna suck, i saw the trailer for that and could only think WTF?! its like charlies angels...nothing at all like the real DOA story...

Wait, there's an actual story to DoA? I thought it was just scantily clad women kicking high to save some company from going out of business?

very good story too, ninja clan killed and betrayed by kasumi, who did not betray them, it was a clone sent by DOA corp, her own brother and sister are sent as assasins to take her out believing she did it.
thats just kasumis story tho, each character had a story that tied into it. But thats the main standing story summed up. The story throughout the games has been awesome, Ultimate really brought the story to peak tho.

Ah, I'd never played the games because I don't like fighting games for the most part. Plot sounds better than most fighting games, but then no one plays those games for the plots anyways.

RE3 looked like New York... Stat of Lib was there... but it wasnt a long enough trailor to see how far in the future it was, it looked sorta good... needs longer trailers tbh, :F

I thought the same thing. Those 'elements bosses' were so cool and they were all finished off with almost no effort.

Overall I'd give the movie a B. It lost points for some cornball lines, but it gained points for Eva Mendes' amazing cleavage.

It also lost points because we were a little late and missed the RE3 trailer, even though that was my fault, and not Nicholas Cage's.

Yeah me and my gf were talking about Eva Mendes's boobs cause like every scene her shirt would be magically 1/2 way unbuttoned >.> it was awesome though I didn't complain and neither did she ;) haha~

Anyone know where I can find the RE3 trailer online? I'm pissed I missed it, but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks.

you usually have to wait a few days for trailers that premiere in theatres first. It will probably be on the net sometime this week.

Ghost rider looks great for a movie .. looks like shit compared to the books. I'ma hope for the best.

On the note of fighter game movies DOA or otherwise just ... no. There's never been a good one made and there never will be. Fighter storylines blow. DoA, MK, Virtua fighter, etc, etc. Street fighter is the only game that might actually have a decent story to it and we can all thank jeal claude van damme (sp?) for boning up anymore endeavours in to reality with that series. So with that exception all the storylines are weak as water and only serve to explain why the individual fighters dress like they do. If you think the development team thought through it further then that you're a little more then jaded.

If any of you heard 'There's going to be a DOA movie' and immediately thought it would be something approaching cool i feel very very sorry for you.

I'll have to go find this RE preview so i can join the masses scratching their skullcaps about it.

I don't know RoM, Tekken has a pretty good story. I mean, once you get into 3 and 4, the whole Jin Kazama arc is pretty nice and interesting and refreshing.

On Topic: Prolly gonna see Ghost Rider this weekend.

Agreed. The film was definitely better than I expected and Mendes' cleavage is more awe-inspiring than any tricks Ghostrider had up his leather-clad sleeves.

Off-topic : I liked some of SNK's stories for KoF and Fatal Fury. Same for Rival Schools but I doubt we will ever see movie adaptations of that stuff though (not to mention them being good).

On-Topic: I like the movie and surprisingly my gf liked it more than me. The fight seems left me feeling kinda empty like Fantastic Four, but it wasn't half bad. I'm surprised there isnt a video game coming out for Ghost Rider.

Spoiler:

I liked the shotgun part, reminded me of Devil May Cry

For someone like me whos not a big fan of comic book super heros, I actually thought the movie was pretty good. I though the element bad guys though were just way too easy for ghost rider to beat, guess thats all they could really fit in a 2 hour movie.

There's a DoA movie in Japan (not anime)
There's also a lot of anime movies of Street Fighter and Tekken

With exception to Sin City of course.

well im not surpised that it fails though...

There needs to be more good Comic video games. Hell I would be fine if they just used an engine that was already successful. I can dream I guess.

It's a shame the gameplay sucks big wet donkey balls.

I'm gonna go see this in an hour and 15 mins with a friend, frankly though right now I'm more excited about the RE3 trailer your all talkin about. Maybe I should quick watch Doom so Ghost Rider looks amazing next to it. And maybe I should ditch my friend and sit in the back so I can beat off to Eva, Pee-Wee Herman style yo.
