Gimped subs.....

I completely aggree with Bajaratt, Imma rng and I only lvled nin as far as I could tolerate lvl31 now my rng is 8k from lvl 60, and I dont have any intentions of lvlin my sub till I get to at least lvl 70. So are u saying i wont invite a 70rng/31nin, hell I was still gettin crazy invites with my 53rng/15nin although there was absolutly no excuse for have a sub that low of a lvl (now those times are over). I fkin hate lvlin nin its like trading all my offencive qualites for defence and im all about DD all my mains are DD blm,drk,rng. I might lvl nin or even pld once I get my rng and drk to lvl 70 but for now no defence of support jobs for me. Keep in mind im not rich and there no way in hell am I gonna keep all those nin tools and ammo, I only sub nin for utsusmi and tonko so I dont need invis ( less hastle for mages). Ive seen very few rng keep elemental and defuffing tools and ammo we need room for crystals and seals to.

Capping your sub is so freaking easy.... it's getting multiple subjobs to switch amongst that are difficult. THF/WAR/SAM subs for a DRK for example. Most are considered bad if they don't have at least THF and WAR both leveled. For WHM I have BLM, SMN and BRD leveled. Explain to me why you can't get 1 sub, and the sub that'll give your RNG more agi and save you loads of money on missed arrows, leveled? I don't know RNG at high level, but it certainly seems like with the 60+ ammo you'll be using you have to spend more time making gil to afford shooting them off than you do leveling. How do you justify missing more shots and wasting that gil when you could so easily get your ninja up 6 freaking levels and be done with it?

And on that note...

Do you never intend to get ranger to 74? Do you want to miss out on Utsusemi Ni? If you're going to level your ninja up eventually, why not do it now instead of later and make your journey up to 75 much easier and don't lose the respect of your peers? Yea it's your 12 bucks, you can spend it as a rng/blm for all I care, but I don't understand your reasoning behind it.
 
u make a good point but I will say I have full intentions of lvling my sub at lvl 70. My ths is at 15 war30 nin31 and when I hit lvl 70 I have full intentions of lvlin them all. I am also workin on sam cuz I hear from some drks that drk/sam kicks ass but sam is still 19 though. Also I really want to try rng/sam I know that sound dangerous but Ill never know how it works till I try. That little agl cant hurt but I dont see it really being a huge problem to wait abit longer either. Just my goal not is lvl 70 and im not stopping till I get it not even to lvl a slightly gimped sub.
 
I have full intentions on lvlin my nin and no it cant hurt to have that little agl from lvlin nin 6 more lvls. But I dont see it being a huge problem either. As far as my subs go nin31,war30,thf15,sam19, and when I hit lvl 70 I have full intentions of lvlin all these up to lvl. I also plan on trying rng/sam I know it sound dangerous but ill never know till I try. But also due to noobish mistakes I also lack the proper WW lvl to make my own ammo. So I have many that I havent gotten to yet for the most part I just been lvling rng and WW while im seeking I also have a 60 orb I must do once I hit 61 and get my +10 ranged acc mantle. Money is also becoming a issue for me I know once I hit closer to lvl 70 I can make money farly easier, but thats not me bitching and complaining I have a plan on how to get all this money im gonna need its just more dependant on having a job closer to lvl 70. One thing I can promise firestreak and anyone else who reads this post is that once I hit lvl 75 I will have all my subs up to lvl for my drk also and ill have ni for my nin. But all that takes time
 
Ooo..I wish I could remember his name...but not long ago I was pt'ing in the jungle..this rdm was starting the pt (I was whm/blm atm). He invited a tank, Darrryl - I believe - who kindly asked him to type /anon. The guy did and low and behold - rdm22/whm3.

I commented about lvling his sub a couple of times and he just ignored it. He said he was only lvling rdm to get nin, to which I replied, "rdm/nin?"

He really never answered that other than to say something about having warrior leveled to 15.

I decided to stick it out...mostly because there were no other players at my level on at the time.

So we're going on with the party because the pld and nin were good...even though the blm kept casting Dia and bio over and over and over again..and the gimpy rdm kept spamming sleep..when Darryl leaves.

I'm cursing life asking the ldr (gimy rdm) to find another DD besides the "blm."

He invites another rdm..who is...<drum roll> a rdm23/thf10.

Lord.

I again start in on the subjobs, explain why there are other enfeebles better than sleep for the mob...blah blah..AND why thf isn't that good a choice. I do remember his name, but am not going to share that because this guy actually was talking with me in /tells about what he could do to improve, the benefits of /blm or /whm, and which enfeebles are the best to focus on.

Alright..fast forward through hell on earth -- because the blm was the only DD (whm, rdm, rdm, pld, and I forget) although the idiots were going on and on about how cool the 4 mage pt was. :roll:

I stayed, btw, because the pld was actually pretty good. He had a lvl 5-something or 60-ish drg..so I stuck around to keep him alive.

Finally, the blm leaves. Shit. We now had NO dmg at all. There was a rng seeking. YAY. I say..get the rng. Pld says, get the rng.

He invited a thf.

/sigh

At this point..there were enough ppl in the area to form a new pt, so I disbanded and started my own...with the rng.
 
People with underleveled subs bug me. At the very least, I like all my subjobs though, so I guess that's why I have so many leveled.

Seriosuly though, one level of subjob can be used for three levels of your main job. Get off your asses and level them people.

Another reason some people might not level them is because they might not have any money. I've spent a lot of money on my mains, and that doesn't leave much for my subs to get. I also refuse to gimp my jobs, so I'm not going to go level my subs missing some gear or wearing old equipment.

I've been farming before and gotten an invite, even with have a slightly (1 level) gimepd sub and I wasn't looking for group at the time. Again, unless that 1 level gives them a new ability/trait/spell, having a gimped sub by 1 level isn't a big deal. At most 1 or 2 stats might increase by 1 point. While every little bit helps, it's not enough to hate someone over.
