i know even i said a bullet in the head for em, and those who watched, but they have to be allowed to stand trial, because we are all susceptible to that kind of rage, and if we all acted on it we wouldn't be any better then the monsters we're protecting.

i totally understand the feeling, and i def couldn't blame someone for wanting to put a bullet in these sacks of human waste, hell I'd like to. but we have a little something here called the bill of rights, and the rule of law. we start turning people over to angry mobs every time someone commits a heinous crime and we aren't going to remain a civilized first world country for much longer. this isn't a movie, we have inconvenient laws in place for a reason and when they are thrown out the window its not going to be a pretty thing at all.

not to turn them over to an angry mob, I say turn them over to the girls parents, or brothers if she has any, any close relative or friend will do. I think those people will have far better punishments for them than any an angry mob can come up with.

They can be held liable especially if the girl died afterward because she was found in critical condition. If she died they would be just as liable for murder as the people that were raping her. If all are found and found guilty in a court of law each one of them should be registering as sex offenders for life with probation. At worst each one of them are facing jail time.

On the whole sue thing I'm pretty sure convicts are protected from civil cases if found guilty in a criminal case because that takes the place of monetary compensation gained in a civil suit.

As for the school's liability there will probably be a settlement with no criminal charges pressed. It's right to think that people should have been moving along the grounds of the school when it's homecoming. You know there will be kids trying to sneak alcohol.

I agree with you, but I just have to add that a LOT of people will refuse to help in any situation, not just because they think they shouldn't get involved, but because many people think that it is the Police job and the police job alone to protect citezins, and everyone else should stay out of the way.

I firmly disagree, and I think vigilante-ism needs to see a return in the US. Will it happen? Probably not. Should it? Most definitely.

Whatever our ancestors had that gave them the balls to stand up and fight against their own government for hope of a better life, is something that most people in this country lack these days.
