thats the same gm i dealed with, and he said same thing, but was nice about it, he even showed up ans waved and bowed to me ^^

Actually no, only SGM's have that ability.

Anyways, as I explained before, GM's are busy folks. The people who show up at work every day in San Diego, honestly just do their jobs. Most of them don't even play. The reason for this is because it's just a job to these people. Hard to expect much else really. SE implements good customer service, like any corporation that likes to hold on to customers, but they don't need to wipe your ass and suck you off every time you have a complaint about something. No offense Tomasello, but you submitted a gripe to the Special Task Force Unit. They aren't called STFU for nothing, bud. Just wait, they'll be gone. Let the people do their damn jobs.

You're like one of those people that calls with a complaint to their phone or insurance company, and screams at the person you get on the phone about the service levels of the company. It's a damn employee on the phone, and doesn't deserve that disservice. Give them a chance to help you out and stop bitching when it's not an immediate remedy.
 
The problem(s) here are with company policy, and not with the individual GMs. At least it seems to be this way.

I was asked by a set of bots in the dunes to raise them once, I said "no raise for RMT" with raise in autotranslate, and the guy replied "OK." I felt like I *had* to call a GM because they basically admitted to being RMT even if it was obvious already. The GM (the name eludes me) laughed with me about their names "Maybe their cat ran across the keyboard.... five times" he said. He agreed that no legit player would answer "OK" to my question. Weeks later the SAME BOTS SAME CHARACTERS were still there.

So yea, SE could give a fuck about fish botting. It seems they've basically given up (see: coral frag nerf, bounty hunters instead of banning the jerks). So while an obvious SE dickrider like Garvin can make the valid point that GMs themselves are not the problem, they also miss the point entirely. The buck has to stop somewhere, and while the STF *may* be making an impact on RMT in general, they are doing next to nothing about the gd fish bots.
 
Double post, but to add on to that... what does any unsatisfied customer do when he or she is not satisfied with the company he/she is with? Generally they complain, and if they are still unhappy with the service levels, they stop the service with that company.

The people at Squenix are no idiots. They realize, and very much know that no matter how poor you find the service levels, you aren't going to stop playing their game. Invested time is not something dropped easily, and they very much know that.

They have been there, and several variations of them, daily for at the last 6 months and in that time frame this is was the 2nd GM call and 3rd Task Force call I'm made. At least when I call a gm I get a human, however useless he may be, to talk to. The task force call is basically, "send us a message and go away".

The reason I suggested the Sagahin thing was because the last gm, without me even have thought of it, after I complained made a Sagahin kill 2-3 of them. They are aware that they are exploiting a specific spot that they supposed to be able to catch aggro from.

We have a police force to deal with this sort of thing, we arent cops so why do we want to enforce laws so much? Reporting a bunch of fishing bots to GM's is like reporting a illeaglly parked car to the police. They'll get to the problem soon enough.

Well, while we're on the story of useless GMs, I'm going to add my story from yesterday too. I went though 4 different GMs and Landisl was only one (and I agree, probably the most useless).

Ok, so yesterday I logged on at 2:30ish and was exactly where i logged off. I decided to send my ls a hello....oh wait, my ls isn't equipped. that's weird. /equip. Hello!....Didn't find anything suspicious there... So I went to windy to go play my blu. when i got to mh to change jobs and switch equip....i noticed i didnt have any of my armor or money. immediately i called the gm. i haven't given my information to anyone. The GM said it was probably a trojan virus and someone hacked into my account from that. so then he tells me to call the POL phone line.

basically, all they told me on the phone line was that it was probably a hacker and i should change my password...so I started asking about my lost items. He just starting the wild goose chase here. He said only GMs can restore items, so i hung up and called gm again. He asked me to tell him everything i lost, so i did. then after i told him them all, he was like "We can only return items that have been dropped or destroyed." and im just like "WTH!?!? what kind of thief would log onto someone's account and drop all their expensive items and gil?!?!"

after that I just kept calling different gms to see if they could do anything different or atleast check the access log to my account and find the stupid hacker. when i logged out after that i was at the pol screen. It ssaid "Last login at 12:37PM" and i was just like WTF!! then i logged out and back in then it said "Last login at 2:35PM" and i was like....shit, someone was on my account 2hrs before i got home.

I've been looking into my lost items on FFXIAH.com.....and i've found 2 suspicious persons so far. Does anyone know Spunkrocker or Ers?

So, you had a light staff, a dark staff, an ether ring and a hierarch belt?

Kinda common items there? Was there any other reason why you suspect these people?

Was your password complex with uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols? Or just letters?

Sorry this happenned to you. I've heard this claim before, I'm just curious.
 
i find them suspicious because those are the only 2 items on Ers sell list...and the belt and ring are nothing like any of the other items hes ever bought or sold. i know its not conviction material....but the fact that they coincidentally were sold the same day i lost mine was enough to add them to my suspicion list.

old pw was bad =/ new one i cant even remember unless i look at what i wrote down. no ones getting in anymore

I had the same GM answer my last GM call. This one makes you CLEARLY
feel that he DOESNT FUCKING CARE about your call, unlike the other I had.

And I aggree with Tomasello. I called him for those 3 RMT that farm bugard 24/7 in Misareaux Coat. They have been doing this for 1 month now, god know how much money they have made now. They are back there 1 minute after each maintenance even...

I mailed task force twice, and they are still there.

The first thing this GM told me is that there is no rule preventing people from farming mobs 24/7 ( although there is a rule that prevent monopolization of mobs I'm pretty sure, and thats what they are doing).
