Lol by just looking at the topic I bet everyone is going "Dear lord", but I have a rant I would like to go on here and here some other people's positions on this. As most QCDN goers know Gala ran a DM run this past Sunday we successfully won which was great btw, needless to say as I'm in my CS to get my earring the server locks up but takes it as I was holding enter down I promptly yank my gamepad out and keyboard it continues to ask me over and over if I wanted a Suponamimi lol so I'm freaking out on the phone with a friend, needless to say the game for some reason took a turn and started spamming at random targets and directions so the CS ended thus me ending up with a Supponamimi at this point I’m angry lol having a friend call a GM for me, first he shows up just asks if I'm unstuck (I had already forcefully killed the game with Ctrl alt del to make my own GM call) when I'm sitting here trying to tell him what had happened he just cuts me off and leaves ok well all dandy I’ll call again. Next call I'm told GM's don't provide that service but they can replace lost items... wtf is that? ok but needless to say I held my temper but I began getting threatened that if I continued to pursue action on getting my earring exchanged action would be taken against my account. Ok so now I’m just done with the GM's I make one last call this one not involving anything to do with the earring just simply asking to have a tech support number sent to me. What do you know instead I get a GM who inquires me why I wish to have the number so I told him truthfully again I was threatened and then denied the phone number at this point I was laughing but I guess in all honesty I'd just like to hear some feed back from some people on this.
 
That really sucks, but if that is what really happened, i doubt there is much they can do since you already have your earring and you can't redo the mission.

Don't take my word for it though.
 
I'm pretty sure the GMs won't do anything considering what happened was in no way the fault of the game, but take it as a happy accident that you got a Suppa when you decide to level a job that takes advantage of dual wield.

No I've already been threatend and told it won't happen heh, sucks though a BLM stuck with a Supo lol whats FF coming to when because of a server side glitch (which if they keep audits they will see wasn't my end) I'm ended up with a Earring I will never use and can never repeat to get. =P just looking for some opinons on the whole situation. I know I may have a bad history with GM's but I was actually polite to these guys and they threatend me lol just wondering if that's even right, when i'm just after getting something corrected that I've paid this service 2 years to get.
 
And the earring I wanted if you can't tell by the jobs was the Abysal Earring =P
 
How is you yanking out your gamepad and keyboard a server-side glitch exactly
 
Do you have screenies of the conversation? Would be nice if you could post them .. Apart from that...

Lvl your DRK! DRK is fun :D At least you get benefit from earring for bit... when you use double axe.. >.<!
 
Cubs it was spamming enter before I yanked the Gamepad or the keyboard and even after both were out of the computer it continued to spam trading to random people the server froze when I hit enter I guess taking it as I was holding down enter.

I know your trying to help, but don't give some dumb drks somewhere the idea to actually do that.

On another note, it could be worse still. At least you didn't get that crazy Chr+ earring which would help even less of your jobs, I think...

Which is a complete piece of shit. Ok, maybe not completely shitty, but suppa is better.

You should be happy with your suppa. Sometime in the future you will get bored of blm eventually and decide to level up another job. There is a good chance that Suppa will be a damn good item for you. Maybe not now. Maybe right now you're regretting it, but hey, at least you didn't get that beastmaster one.

My blm friend accidentally picked the pld one. God she was pissed.
 
I know I guess this topic kinda getting off topic I'm looking for feedback as in the way I was treated by these GM's as well as denied service when I showed nothing but respect, and no I don't have log pics sorry don't use Windower if someone can tell me how to pull them up in FF I could get them for ya =P
 
Well , he or she has 50 DRK :p so that's the only job, i'm assuming, would benefit earliest from the earring ;). Plus... i did use " >.<! "

Hmm, like how did they threatened you..? Do you remember the conversation?

He and I have a 62 RDM i'm leveling I'm over the fact I didn't get the earring like I said I guess I kinda threw it off topic including the whole spiel about the earring, the mistreatment I was shown by these GM's I just think is uncalled for.
 
You were holding down enter, and if that was happening during a lag spike/client hiccup it may have created a backlog of keystrokes to process. Pulling the keyboard/gamepad was likely the worst thing you could have done because losing those input devices can cause the client to go haywire and process inputs that aren't there. Either way, blaming this on server-side problems is shortsighted at best and outright wrong at worst.

The GMs told you to stop calling them about it and didn't give you a tech support number because they're not going to do anything about it and taking up the live support helpline's time isn't going to change that. To them, the matter is closed.

But on the bright side, again, if you ever level WAR/THF/PLD/RNG/NIN/BLU/COR, and in some cases DRK/RDM/BST, you'll get use out of the Suppa. Mourn the loss of your Abyssal by buying a Phantom Earring and a Dark Earring and you'll be ok in the end, trust me.
 
I guess let me explain this to you better cubs, I pressed enter I do not hold it down I like to read my CS's like some people lol. and I have alot of people that would disagree with you on this being client side I've had a controller lock in an enter position unplugging it made it stop, I pressed enter once I did not hold it down, the server hickuped I guess and took a hold of that input, so ofcourse the first thing I do is unplug anything that could be giving it that input since it has proven to work before *shrugs* I just wish I had the logs of the GM chats to better show what i'm talking about here =P
 
and again I'm not upset about the earring I have jobs that are going to be leveled to put it to use rofl, I'm just annoyed with the service I was given in fixing the problem and the threats that were issued over simple asking questions to a GM. but again I can't support this without logs lol. and on that note i'm out for the night lol cubs lock this if you want =P since it seems to just be off topic lol. if I come across the logs though I will post them ^^ goodnight QCDN.

5.6 Online Conduct.

This happened this afternoon, and the GM was getting hateful with me saying it was his discreption by which all rules are enforced and he didn't see any violations here. It's utter bullshit, but there is nothing we can do about it.
