God people are dumb part 2 : The Mithra

Meeze, you deserve to be spanked cause you die way too much.

Falsey.. (silence)..

>.>

what I meant was.. I don't flirt with random retards wanting to hit on me cause I'm Mithra.. I mean, yeah my character is cute, but c'mon people.. she's not real

to the origanal poster its called Role Play get over it if you do no tlike RP go back to teh consol an dpplay a shooter or somthing.

as far as the corecting I usually do no tcare normally I politly correct someone in party if they call me a He or Him but I never get mad I know that alot of mithra are really guys so I understand.

I do not mind flirting as long as it doesnt go overboard saddly you get these people who just do not understand when to stop or that its just pixels not real life

Lol getting hit on by another guy isn't that surprising considering yes I am playing a female character so no I don't get offended. When I'm in a party most people can tell I'm a guy and that's where it ends.

This is not a flame against mithra in general. I understand why they are in the game... for the crazy FF pervurts to oogle over. And I understand why people pick them, for their unique stats and good looks. But here is what I don't understand. The Mithra is a female character, yet guys who pick them continually get pissed when they are referred to as "she" or "her". I mean seriously if you are going to pretend to be a woman don't get upset when people call you out on it.
On to point two, people playing mithra who insist on rolling their rrr's when typing. It's not cute, it's not original, you're amusing no one but yourselves. Same with you taru's and your aru's. To prove my case I bring you the american tradition: The Simpsons. These speech abnormalities are closely related to Ned Flanders. He does it to be nice, he does it to be cute, but all he really does is piss off everyone around him. Flame away you flamearino's. ><

This post just makes me think "God people are dumb". I mean who the hell cares anyway, there is so much bad punctuation/spelling/shortening of words in this game I don't know how you could even stand to play if you got so pissy about someone throwing around ~'s all the time seems like one of those at the end of a sentence would be the least of your worries.

Haha Neosquall who the hell is this Xadoc fool anyway

It's true that a lot of people assume mithras are guys now. Most people say "he" when referring to me and I just usually do a /couhergh! to correct them.
I understand why people assume most are guys though, because they usually are.
The only time it's confusing or weird to me is if I know a girl character is actually a guy in real life and we're in a party with strangers. Then I try my hardest not to refer to their gender at all, I'll leave it up to them to clear all that up with people if they choose to.
It's a game, and I try not to mess that up for people.
I myself would find it very odd to play as a guy character though...but, to each his or her own! :)

If I’m talking to a friend via tell or on the ls, I’ll refer to them by there actual gender, but if I’m interacting with in the game as in a party, I treat them as there game gender. If I don’t know there Gender, I treat them as there game gender, but I’m not going to run up to a mithra and Ooogle there goodies, no more than I’d do that in real life.

People who punt Taru’s should ask them selves if they would punt a midget in real life.

People who RP have a little thing called "Imagination"..
If you lack this (i.e. RP sux), there's this one episode of Spongebob that gives lessons in "Imagin-aaaaa-tion" (rainbow effect), you should go watch it. =P

Way I see it is, your character is not you. I find myself sometimes refering to Daveman as "him" and not "me", or fortehwin as "her" instead of "me". If someone calls me a she I've no problem with it, cause that's who my character is.*

Ever play a game where a female was main character? even if there was a guy playing, she's still a she right?

*on Fortehwin, if you call Daveman a she, then issues come up =P

Daveman = confusing

When the game came out in 2003 oct, I wanted to be a mithra for the stats, I wanted to be a thief, and as you can see I did end up becoming a thief. However I went hume because I didn't want to play as a female character.

Looking back it was a bad decision, while a character in a MMORPG is reflection of yourself, it's only a game. There are plenty on female characters I like in video games after all: Samus, The one from perfect dark(joanna),Sheik/zelda, Tifa, Yuna, Garnet.

This isn't to say I'm unsatisfied with my hume, still get a few more str and vit which benefited me on my thf ( normal hits, helps contribuate to my future sharkbite WS, better for farming ), war, drk, sam, ninja(in some ways), and small ways in other jobs. Alot more chr which benefited me since I went into bard, something I never originally intended.

In future games however, I won't think twice about going as a female character if I can get something I couldn't get with a male that I desired such as X stats or X ability.

And thinking about it, I'd probably won't be offeneded being called a she if I played a female character. There was a point when I was younger when I would, but it just doesn't seem importent anymore.

Yeah, I chose mithra because I hyped up to be a RNG. It didn't last, because I went broke for the second time at 21, so I gave RNG up, but that was the initial reason I chose mithra. I'd have been a male mithra if they had that option, but I had to live with being female.

For the most part, I don't think a lot of people care if someone is playing as a female character, as long as they're honest that they are really male. I don't know of any women playing as male characters though, so I don't know how they would feel about being refered to as male. I still laugh at the mithra's named Imaguy and Imadude.

Personally I love being a Tarutaru and if I like to use the Taru's speech patterns sometimes it's not to annoy it's to amuse...even if it only amuses me 99% of the time. So right back at youtaru

There are a few.

Sneaky can we end this nonsense please?

I really would like to bury whatever hatchet we have.
