For the most part, I don't think a lot of people care if someone is playing as a female character, as long as they're honest that they are really male. I don't know of any women playing as male characters though, so I don't know how they would feel about being refered to as male. I still laugh at the mithra's named Imaguy and Imadude.

Male or female seem largely unimportant when you stop to consider it really. Longdukdong "Duckie" (female, Tarutaru) is "one of the guys" in our LS and the fact she's a she in real life doesn't affect anything...she's been my sidekick since I started, or I've been her's...depends who you ask lol. Your friends are your friends because of who they are and not what they are. The big advantage of RPGs is that you are whoever you decide to be and not who society has tried to force you to be...so go with it. Thank you.

Agree except for that part, some people actualy like role playing, for example there are servers in WoW where stuff like that is pretty much the established rule. Granted there are no FF roleplaying servers, so w/e.
 
I forsee a kitty getting banned very soon with all these necros @.@ but since this topic IS annoying....

If you play a female, I call you a she.. My rl friend plays, is a guy, when he is on a female char (his blm) I use her.
As stated like 20 times... mmoRPg.. those two letters mean a lot. Role Play :3

I also ask, if I were to for some reason ever PT with Neyla or Baja I would /tell them and ask their preference, I know neither care much, but a lot of people do prefer one or the other. If I play a male char (never happen, too many as is x.x) I would expect "he" when referred to unless it's via LS when people generally go by RL.

The only mithra in the game I refer to as "he" when bothered is my ex. :3 The rest, you are what gender you play unless its an "OOC" (out of character) moment.To you non RP buffs... that would be /tell, rl reference, or LS.

Plus.. rolling r's IS cute, it shows the game still has people who have FUN. ^^

oh.. and I adore Taru's who use Taru-speak.
 
I was in a pt once, someone went afk and then i saw this

"/em wants to have sex with Myrrh while we wait."

All i said after 5 min of laughing was "I have a headache" and started laughing again. XD

its hard for me to imagine most people assuming mithra as female because I usually see him when they talk about me and when I inform them I am indeed a female they're almost always shocked.

I saw a Mithra Dragoon once. I couldn't believe it, and I ran away. This was on another server though. I was laughing so hard...
