Good Bye for a while (3 years)

I actually left the game a few days ago, but I've been too busy lately to make any posts about it. A day or two ago marked my 3 years of playing FFXI, and the last year I haven't played as much as I did the first two years.

It's about time I finally quit FFXI for sometime, maybe a year or so, maybe more, maybe less, but I'll see as time passes since most of us always return. I got a new car now though so that eats up some of my money, so having the two accounts and mules takes up $40 a month that i can save, and between work and my new gf and other things, I don't have as much time anymore.

I still had a lot of goals in the game, but it's just not as enjoyable as it used to be, so if I do have any extra time, I'd like to play other games for sometime.

That said, in the year or so since my last two year anniversary post, I did accomplish quite a lot. I got my third job Blue Mage to 75, and in the last year I got at least over 150 merits almost 200 total.

My total playtime before quitting is 355 days, 19 hours and 3 minutes. I haven't done much end game in the last few months or so since Limbus which I quit back in the end of April and decided to rank up 100 ancient beastcoins with my leftover points, since then, whenever I do play I've just been lvlling a few jobs or fooling around. I did some cooking skill ups a bit and now that's around 75, but I never met my goal to reaching 100 on that.

I have met a few new more friends and helped out others here and there, and have mostly been with the LS NoizyTribe for the last year. They have been an awesome group of people, and I am going to miss them and some of my other close friends I had ingame which I hope to still keep in touch with every so often.

I have completed all the missions in ToAU and received Captain rank sometime back around before the latest expansion came out, and with the newest expansion Wings of Goddess I have completed many of the quests/missions there and did a lot of Campaigns up to HolyKnight Emblem.

I have made some other accomplishments in the game, but that's all I can think of at the moment and I have to leave for work soon already. Take care Quetz and FFXI for sometime. Today marks my two years playing FFXI ^^ Last year I made a one year anniversary in this game, which can be found at this link:

Now comparing this year to last year, I've accomplished quite a bit more, although I think my total time in this game is less than it was from last year. I got blm to 75 now too, and blu at 61, whm at 59. I also got thf at 40 now, and a few other jobs between 1-37, with a total lvl between all jobs of 472/1350.

I've also been meriting more this year, so have a grand total of 125/249 merits for all the current jobs I'm lvlling or can get for 75 ones.

Compared to last year, I already had rank 10 windy and ZM complete, but along with those, I completed CoP this year, and I also completed AN. Chose Tamas ring originally but later switched to rajas as my current now as soon as we were able to switch. Chose Ethereal from AN. I've also done many Limbus runs since Jan shortly after completing CoP, and done a total of 50 Limbus runs from then to now, just got Nashira Seraweels, and all together out of those 50 runs I got Nashira Manteel, and enough coins for Loquacious earring, and Rdm AF+1 body, one short blm item for blm AF+1 piece, and I'm going to get brutal earring and boxer mantle next run from my points and another 75 coins from runs. I also got some extra AF+1 items from some various runs too.

I haven't done very much end game, a little bit of dynamis here and there, only got a couple AF2 pieces, blm legs, and brd gloves, but that's pretty much it from 10 runs total. Then I've done a few Salvage and Einherjar runs here and there.

I'm currently the highest assault rank and at the current ToAU mission, and have done many assaults with my assault LS: RonaldMcDonaldsArmy. I managed to get a full set of Yigit with them, along with a lot of other goodies. I got a couple Perdu weapons too from all the IS I accumulated from meriting/exping in ToAU. Got sword and club, although I can't use sword until my blu reaches the lvl for it, I do plan to get blu to 75 before the release of the new expansion though, then brd, and possibly thf anytime after that, as far as it stands now for my plan in the future of FFXI.

My total playtime in this game during the two years that I've been playing is 287 days, 18 hours, and 52 minutes as I'm typing this now.

I haven't been crafting as much this year, been lvlling a little more and doing quests and missions here and there. Only got cooking 8 more lvls from last year, @68, alchemy I got that to 60. I do have pretty much all my current cooking items though except the useless ones and the table until my cooking is high enough to work towards that.

I started up fishing though, it's only at 13 now, but I'm also working for a lu shang, 620/10,000 for that, lol. I've done a little bit more quests, out of 500 or so existing quests, I've done approximately 350 total. Lets see, I've also done some choco raising too, raised about 3 or 4 chocobos to adults, and had one at its top rank for str and end.

Most importantly, I've met a lot of great and fun people in this game, some are good friends, some I chat to here and there, and ever since I left from SpiritzUnleashed, I've been in several different social LSs.

I've still got many goals for this game, and hope to play for some more years too, and continue to meet some more new players as well. For now, that's everything I can think of. I'll edit in more if I can think of anything else, but there it is, my two years anniversary in FFXI as a Tarutaru Rdm main from Windurst.

It's now been one year that I've been playing FFXI. I started July 31st, of 2005, around midnight or so, and I still remember starting out as a Tarutaru RDM in Port Windurst. I play on a PS2, so I didn't even have a keyboard yet and was using the ingame keyboard for the first couple days or so, although I didn't really have a linkshell yet, or really talked to anyone yet, except I tried typing to my first friend ingame, Shiaru.

I've had my ups and downs like most people ingame, and for almost the first half of the time I've played the game, I had a lot more time to play than I do now because of work and such.

I wasn't very much with exping, but I did get a lot of jobs up there a bit, and my RDM to 75 which I'm proud of, back in April. Then BLM and WHM in the 40s, and some other jobs which can be viewed in my siggy.

This game is filled with so many quests, and I've always been one to like questing, so I've done at least 3/4 or 3/5 of the total quests in the game, some are started or almost done.

I got a bit into crafting, I did some cooking here and there and got it to 60, then switched over to alchemy and did that here and there, so currently it's at 54ish.

I'm quite proud of what I've done in this game. Getting rank 10 Windurst, completing ZM, although I'm still on CoP 4-2, I'm currently lvlling my blm from 46 to 50, so that I can use that 50 blm for 4-2, and try to solo all the blm AF on my rdm.

The new expansion is great, so I've done a few things with that, and have done almost all the quests, but I'm striving to raise my assault status from PFC. I'm also lacking in imperial standing points now since I haven't really used my rdm much in exp ptys while it has been at 75, I had mostly solo'd as rdm/nin.

Some of my best times in this game have been those times meeting all my friends for the first time. I'd have to say while my old social LS that I led from September 2005 and then disbanded around January/February 2006, the LS: UltimaUtopia. I loved and missed my times with that LS, and all the people, although I still chat and remain friends with some or most if I see them around.

That LS went down because of drama that spreaded out, the few in it that caused majority of the drama, and one person in particular who brought up a lot of drama (Not going to mention any names though). I didn't want to put up with any of that, so I gave up being leader, and for the sake of the LS, told everyone they can do what they want with it or disband and move on. I wanted to move on too.

That's when I joined in with SpiritzUnleashed. Even though this LS didn't really have the same atmosphere I used to enjoy with my old LS, I enjoyed this LS for the last 6-7 months.

I'd like to thank everyone from the game who has helped me and befriended me ingame, no matter how short or long it was, and I'm glad to have some of those long-term friends who have been friends with me from the beginning and still remain to keep contact.

I'd have to say out of all my friends ingame, Teruko is one of my greatest.

Although if I went to list every person's name who had helped me and personally thanked them, that'd take forever, so I'll thank them as a whole.

I started this game a year ago during the Summer Breeze festival too... so the fireworks, the Azirmuth cicle game, and even the music played at night, all brings me back to that time, which seems quite peaceful. That was around the time I met one of my other first friend in the game, Moriki, as we both had started this game around the same time, as a tarutaru rdm too, and tried to figure out how to do that minigame, and then duo a bit with our rdms.

Although he did what I originally wanted to do when I started, as well as my friend Teruko, to get RDM high enough to quest SMN, and then main SMN, yet my SMN is only at lvl 24 right now.

It looks like this post is quite lengthy now, so I'll end it here for now, and thanks if you happened to read through all of that, or even skimmed it.

No, I'm not quitting if some might've gotten that idea, I'm just going down memory lane with it being my one year. I did kind of have planned to take one month break from the game sometime before the end of the year though. I was originally planning for this September, but with the release of chocobo raising at the end of August, I'm thinking of maybe October instead, since Chocobo raising is one highlight from the update I really wanted to get into.

So there you have it, my one year anniversary! Hopefully I'll remain to play this game until it no longer exists, or until for some reason something drastic happens... or the other option, complete boredom.

Thanks guys. It was fun hanging out and doing various things with you guys that replied. I most likely might be back one day since I don't want to delete my character, but it'll definitely give me tons and tons to do when I do come back with all the new stuff and all the catching up, it'll make the game a lot more fun By then I hope the economy goes down even half of what it is now, then I can be mega rich even more since I sold all my junk lol.

Thanks guys ^^ Yeah, well for the last few months I've been pretty good keeping myself away from FFXI anyways, so I finally figured I myswell leave it for good for sometime, that way I save the money every month.

Not just that, but I just noticed that I missed about 3 new FF releases that I want to get and haven't even known had been out yet, and haven't tried yet.

Final Fantasy Fable Chocobo Dungeon for Wii, the new FF Crystal Chronicles for Wii, and FFTA2 for DS.

Jeska - Yes, I have gotten quite a lot done. Thanks to a lot of help from my friends ingame and the other adventurers of Quetz and even the help of QCDN's event board for organizing some of the various events for me to accomplish certain goals. I still had many other goals ingame even after accomplishing so much, but it's impossible to do everything and sometimes it's good to finally do something else.

Dudika - I'd love to see that vid again Dudika, thanks in advance for when you send it. We also did some CoP missions together too, so thanks for joining our group with that, and that DM fight was fun too. Take care bud.
