Good Riddance, MJ

Oh lord, fine then. I revise my previous assessments - there were far more VISIBLE fans of Billy Mays than there were Jacko fans, on this site, before either of them died.

That's where my quantification is coming from.

Billy Mays is a recent anomoly. He has been much more active as of late and his quirky behaviour earned him a pretty large fan base.

I love David Bowie, but if I don't put him in my avatar, make a funny quote in my sig, or talk about him often, it means I wouldn't be allowed to completely freak out if he dies?

Should I have been like "HEY GUYS HERES A RANDOM THOUGHT ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON FOR NO REASON!" There is no real reason to, I didn't take part in the "music" thread.

That's why I added the word "visible". Please note, O ye of the Pacific Northwest and ye also of other Canadian areas, that I was not calling into question your fandom(s). I will call into question the fandom of any person who appears to want to be "a part of the action" or for, quite literally, idolizing a person at all, regardless of their status as a child molester, singer, dancer, entertainer (best ever? arguable); especially those who don the gear (Corey Friggin Feldman) and act like they were best friends with the man in life, when in reality they hadn't spoken in almost 20 years.

That alone would be like my Kindergarten best friend, whom I haven't seen in 20 years, wore a tee-shirt that said "I WUV TRISTAM" and started giving interviews if I died. Also note that I have lived a much more meager life than Jacko.

I'm more talking about people like Brooke Shields crying when she hasn't spoken to him in years, or Corey Feldman showing up in an MJ get up when they have been estranged after a falling out like, 17 years ago lol. I dont' think Jennifer Hudson even met him and Usher has done things that MJ was a part of as well but never actually had a conversation with him.

Vultures feeding off the fame of another person.

And yes, Corey Feldman... seriously? Dude, seriously? Go back to your fail reality TV show.

*cough* I know -.-

Re-read this Trist.

Difference is that with Billy's death, there *were* LOADS of QCDN fans who lauded his comedy and zest for selling while he was alive - myself and Koenigstiger included. Hell, I think the two of us were QCDN's Billy Club (hyuk).

Michael Jackson? There were more threads written about Britney Spears by fake Japanese otaku than there were about MJ in the HIStory of QCDN, right up to the moment he kicked off.

I'm not - I was only outlining it in QCDN terms. Sure, Jacko will be remembered longer if only because of his fame or notoriety, based on whatever you want to classify it.

However, in relation to Pomp's post, there were FAR more active Billy Mays fans on this site before his death than there were Jackson fans prior to his (by all accounts)

If you were I, how would this come across? Considering I took to insult being classified as a QCDN faux-fan by Pomp.

And I have to ask the question.

How do you know 'there were FAR more active Billy Mays fans on this site before his death than there were Jackson fans prior to his (by all accounts)'?

Again, does it come down to thread/post counts? It really is silly isn't it? I didn't even want to ask that question but I almost felt I had to.. otherwise you just wouldn't get what I was saying.

I DID read you cockmunch!

Trist 'revised' after my posts.. my comments were based on his early quotes, pre-revision!

So my reply asking him to re-read his own posts to come to a better understanding of my earlier statements is still valid.

Oy, you two, shut it.

Heed the awesomeness that is Bowie.

I think both threads are pretty much done now. Everyones had their fair share of love/hate for MJ.
