Except you can't ignore Hellstorm because he continues to post the same bullshit OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Christ, he turned like 5 threads into how Rdm should be a melee/tank. That shit shouldn't happen in the first place.

There are 13 pages of replies to this thread, and I didn't reply to all of them. There are hundreds of pages of threads on QCDN and I haven't replied in all of them. It might be tough to ignore Hellstorm, but it's not impossible. Or, maybe I'm just better than everyone else?

Then answer me this. Why is it okay for Zalt to get in shit for posting Caterday pics in flames and Hellstorm can get away with turning every fucking mention of Rdm into a Rdm melee topic? People had the same choice to Ignore List Zalt.

In regards to the OP: Jamal, I think you're overreacting and should probably reconsider this whole thing.

In regards to the fact that this thread got moved to the flameboard: That was, well, dumb. It pretty much validates a lot of the positions that people have beeen taking attacking the moderation on this board.

In that thread, things devolve quickly, actual flamebaiting breaks out on the first page, and moving the thread to the flameboard would be easily justified.

Yet there it is, sitting in Good Times.

Probably because it wasn't made by someone who's been at odds with the mods for the past few months.

Here are a few tips to the mods: People are going to dislike you. Suck it up. They're going to pick fights with you. Ignore them. Don't take anything personally. Don't practice the fine art of vendetta. Don't play favorites. Don't go out of your way to protect people that bring shit down on themselves.

People can ignore Zalt too. I could care less what people post. I just reply to the interesting parts. I'm not discussing mod consistancy, because I don't care about mod consistancy. I just know by my own actions that it's not so hard to not reply as people make it out to be. I was able to ignore peregrine during her many antiblm tirades, and I can ignore whoever the blazn-of-the-month happens to be. I don't have anyone on my ignore list either.
 
I find taking a few days off visiting Qcdn does me the world of good, after seeing all the complaining and debating over a video game world, I often need to take a step back and remind myself its just a bunch of typed lines on a screen by people with wayyy too much time on their hands.

I swear some people could flambate for their country they are so talented at it lol. Perhaps a future olympic event can be made. :)

The funny part is Jamal used to live right by me. Like an hour drive, tops. Good thing he doesnt live here anymore. Too bad for me, but good for him.

Let me get this straight you volunteer to be a mod yet you are coming up with the excuse i don't have time to mod correctly.

May i ask if you don't have time to read 40+ pages what exactly do you have time for? besides being a mod for the hell of it.

If this is indeed the case then you hafto ask if this was done because it'd mean the mods would hafto warn people for flamebaiting (much like the deal done with Skaw) and they don't want to punish other people, making complete hypocrisy evident towards them...or is it because they're holding such an open grudge towards Jamal that they moved it because they're openly welcoming flames towards him, which in all due respect is flamebaiting in itself?

On the wayside, in response to Bret, not everyone has time to read forty pages in one sitting, let alone every single new topic that pops up on a forum. It's especially time-consuming in threads where people make long, constructive posts rather than one-liners in response to others.

Which leads me to another point - Largest threads are in the FB? Of course they are, at least 50% of the posts are typically no longer then two or three sentences. If you look up one of the old Religion or War debates, the post count is lower but the posts themselves are much larger and the general quality of the thread itself is much great.

I'd say Quality of posts > Quantity of posts when it comes to which threads on QCDN are the most popular/successful, since it shows when they're really making people think about the subject at hand.
 
God and to think I actually made a post almost relevant to the OP and I'm not making ny first post around here with a PC+1...

I won't say moving this thread to the flameboard was a great idea before real flames came into play, but knowing how things have been back and forth b/t Jamal and several others, I can see the anticipation behind it and the pre-emptive move.

Don't like how the mods do their job on Reeve's site?

Shut the fuck up and go pay for your own, and mod/admin it your damn self; no one's begging you to come grace us with your presence.

Most of you bitching and throwing fuel on the fire are probably angry people who lack any real power in your life to do what you want, or be assertive enough in your daily lives to not get pushed around like pencil-dicked nerds, so you gotta come here and lash out on the community.

It's one thing to come off as sarcastic and with a quick wit about you or even showing some heated emotion, and maybe anger...But as of the past few weeks, a handful of you are coming off like fucking basketcases.

Reeve picked the mods, and if he didn't, he's letting them stay in that position they're in atm and they're gonna run it the way they fuckin' do whether you like how it's done or not.

You wanna punch a brick wall, be my guest...

If you've got real problems with that wall, take it up with the man who helped put it up, because he's likely the one who's got the tools that can take it down anytime he damn well pleases.

In case this is too much for you to comprehend...

Got a problem, take it up with Reeve, or make your own damn forum.

Bitching at the current staff gets you nowhere.
