Okay, I've noticed in alot of threads nowadays, the abbreviation of words has been taken to a whole new level.

Now I'm here to ask the question, why?

It's not like you're rushed into typing like a complete dolt on a forum. You're not running away from the link your sorry ass pulled, while frantically trying to put your stupid thoughts and ideas into a poorly constructed post, that most will struggle to read. Take your time whilst drafting up your post, as this will make my next paragraph (almost) unnecessary.

I'd much prefer, if at all possible, that you (the people who aparently can't spell and don't understand how to structure even the most simple, complex sentance.) would just re-read over your post. Just once. Infact, while your posting your stupid reply to this thread, try it out.

Now, lets try to correct this poor mess of letters you like to call a 'well structured, and intelectual retort'. You might find these few links useful, for example, http://www.dictionary.com, and you also might wish to try your hands at the theosaurus (this helps you find longer words which make you look more inteligent). If that's a little too much effort, and you just want a plain and simple copy and paste operation, try http://www.spellcheck.net/, another great site that will instantly make you look like you atleast have some understanding of english.

I've also taken into consideration that most people that will be reading this thread probably wont be able to string together a sentance within the flameboard without using atleast 3 obsenitys per line, so I'll also post a good link for those who wish to add a little spice into their flames, http://www.urbandictionary.com.

Now, I can't tell you you're own opinions, that would make me some kind of online flameboard dictator, but please, think these through. Discuss them with a friend online (presuming you know someone that understands what you're typing.), or maybe even your linkshell friends (presuming that, if said friend isn't online, there is atleast one person in your linkshell that understands your sense of grammar). Do they make sense to your friend, maybe your friend said something back to you, that contributes to your idea, that you could post down.

I guess this small grammar 101 is concluded for now, but please, by all means suggest ways in which this post could have shed more light onto the growing population of people who think that "idc wut u tihnk" is a way of telling someone that you don't appreciate their thoughts on a certain situation. Remember to try out your new found knowlege of english in this thread, debate, and please flame me without using stupid acronyms.

i dnt c wtf teh problem is

No but seriously. If you dont like the way it looks, dont read it and stop crying about it.

Since we're on the subject of grammar I feel the need to point out a few things.
1: "Okay, I've noticed in **alot** of threads nowadays, the abbreviation of words has been taken to a whole new level." It's a lot. Two words. Alot isn't a word.
2: "Just once. Infact, while **your** posting your stupid reply to this thread, try it out." You're.
3: "Now, **lets** try to correct this poor mess of letters you like to call a 'well structured, and intelectual retort'." Let's. As in Let us try to correct. And it's Intellectual.
4: "(this helps you find longer words which make you look more **inteligent**)." Intelligent. Didn't you say something about not needing to rush through a post when using a forum?
5: "I've also taken into consideration that most people that will be reading this thread probably **wont** be able to string together a sentance." It's won't, with a apostrophe.
6: "...within the flameboard without using **atleast** 3 **obsenitys** per line..." You forgot a space and it's obscenities.
7: "Now, I can't tell you **you're** own opinions," It's your. As in possession.
8: "...that would make me some kind of online flameboard** ** dictator, but please, think these through." You're missing a comma.
9: "(presuming that, if said friend isn't online, there is **atleast** one person in your linkshell that understands your sense of grammar)." Missing that space again. Same words too.

Overall I give this flame on grammer a D+. It looked good but once you pay attention you can see that it's very poorly written. Also, in my opinion it was a little cluttered and not near as concise as a flame on grammer should have been.

This thread gets the much coveted gold fucking star.

Don't lie. You know you get all A pluses in that subject.

I'd also like to point out if people could stop using "IMO" and "IMHO" that would be great. Ofcourse its your fucking opinion, if its NOT then say so, otherwise drop the IMO/IMHO. Thhhhncks.

That does get annoying, imo.

Alot is a word(As in "I wish to alot this piece of property"), you didn't fix "sentance", It's spelled "grammar".

Also, you forgot the comma after "Overall" in the conclusion.

IMO(That's for Falsey), this thread is a whole bunch of jibba jabba!

I just got out of school...I feel like i'm back in it. Im gonna gtfo now

Well, I agree on the whole spelling thing, I don't demand perfect spelling and grammar, everyone is baound to make mistakes here and there, and since english is not my main language I make them a little bit more oftenly.

Anyways, what I hate the most is the abuse of acronym words, while some acronyms like "NM", "LS", "lol", "lmao" or "lmao" are most of the time undertood by all, the "on the fly" acronyms someone makes because they feel lazy to type the whole 2 or 3 words I do hate, "NG" for "North Gustaberg", "CC" for Clothcraft, courrie carrie, counter camp and so on, while some may say it's context sensitive, it becomes annoying overtime.

There's also the unnecessary abreviations, like "PD" for Perfect Dodge, when you can use the translator to display those 2 words easily and EVERYONE will understand, people who don't know the abreviation and japanese people as well.

Some other acronyms are necessary because saying them everytime would be retarded, like LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation), maybe NM(Notorious Monster, or Named Monster).

Neo, I didn't think it had enough of a pause to need a comma. I thought about it but thought it sounded more fluid without it. The thing about commas, in most cases, is that when you do use one in the proper place, it's always correct. You kind of take a chance when not using one. It's a judgement call.
When buying a lot of land, it's still a lot and not alot. A as in one, and lot as in the lot of land. The only correct application for alot is as an acronym :P. And yeah good call on the sentence thing.
