I do think a part of me died when I realized I could understand that.

I got owned in my own topic about how to spell correctly.

I guess theres nothing left to do but forget vowels and only use consntnts.

Hehe, I only did this flame as a little fun while I was bored (waiting to go to my guitar lesson ^^) I'm glad you all posted, and thanks for helping me with my spelling acutie, I guess I'm not as english as I thought I was. (I'm only 15, gimme a break :p )

Ps, in my defence, blazn, it was 5 crawlers, that all conned EP++ to me, I didn't stand a chance in hell against them. I did the only logical thing to do at that very moment in time, run the hell away!

you sound like my english teacher, tells me whats wrong with all my work thar i do.
The first time ive ever seen Blazn use punctuation!!!!!!!!

Im not gonna harp on someone for not using an apostrophe or semicolon or something ridiculous, but something so simple as a period to complete a thought should be almost automatic. Im not gonna sit here and triple-grammar check my posts, but i like to make sure my shit makes some sense. Punctuation makes it easy to read. Find a Blazn post, and try to read it out loud, without practicing. Youre guaranteed to sound like a dumbass.

Infact, while your posting your stupid reply to this thread, try it out.

Now, lets try to correct this poor mess of letters you like to call a 'well structured, and intelectual retort'.

together a sentance within the flameboard without using atleast 3 obsenitys

to you, that contributes to your idea, that you could post down.

I guess this small grammar 101 is concluded for now, but please, by all means suggest ways in which this post could have shed more light onto the growing population of people who think that "idc wut u tihnk" is a way of telling someone that you don't appreciate their thoughts on a certain situation. Remember to try out your new found knowlege of english in this thread, debate, and please flame me without using stupid acronyms.

Haha too funny. I guess if this is "small grammar 101," you get an "F" as a grade.

Why dont you check your own grammar before trying to correct others...

LOL

Because then you'd have nothing to flame me on furthur down the line.

This is the flame board afterall, I wanted to give you some material so that you can make me look like a fool in my own topic.

I found the link to the spell checker, I could easily have used it, but then you'd have nothing to make me look like a hypocrite with.

Now I'm here to ask the question, why?
Because of a combination of the following:
  1. Many people really don't know that there is a difference between there and their, or you're and you are, or then and than, and I am not talking foreigners here, I am talking native English speakers.
  2. Many people fail to realize that if they pepper their post with wut, wot, cuz, b4, w473v3r, and similar leet/ghetto/slang/thug speak, they immediately lose whatever little respect the reader may have had for them, thus the poster's argument goes down the drain.
  3. Many people couldn't care less about the point made in 2.
As for me, if I see someone who's not using proper English, I immediately assume that person is a complete idiot (unless I have reason to believe that person is someone who knows English as second language) and whatever he or she writes is not worth considering. So far this approach has worked well for me, and most often my assumption was later on confirmed.

Back when I was a freshman in college a little over a year ago, my technical writing teacher had to do a quick sum up on the differences between they, they're, their...

naturally, a small part of me died...

I know that when hand writing some people use slang and abbrivations to make it go faster, so maybe they just bring that habbit here too. Maybe it's the schools? :O! Maybe people are spoiled by our precious word correction and grammer checks on applications such as Word, etc.

Don't mean to jump threads off the subject, but they're now making the SAT computer based and no longer written. At least, they are trying to pass it.... there goes one of our great traits which helped define humanity... T_T Going to school to be a teacher, this is scary. Especially, after looking at half the stuff on these boards :\ Ah! I am not saying I'm perfect. I have the worst spelling in the world and of course I have my grammer mistakes.

I saw the title, and I just knew blazn had something to do with it.

I totally aggree with sculli's post, really well said, you hit my (rhetorical) question right on the head :D

Night night for now guys, I'll check back tomorrow ^^ Have fun :D

Grammar is my life.

Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. julia Enjoy :P

I believe it was actually that you only read the first and last letters while skim reading...but don't quote me on that. Its true as well; have you ever been reading fast and read a word that turns out isn't actually there? its caused by the same thing. Interesting stuff...

When reading a novel I read almost every third word cause you KNOW what the other two are if youve read enough.. it just happens.. it's how my friend can read a 600 page size 6 font book in under 2 hours.
